left is that when we are laughing at the devil, anyone who is not laughing is

know how He wants to do it but one thing I am sure of is this, by the time we

Acts of the Apostles
chapter 3 verse 1 to 2:
Now Peter and John went
up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour. And a
certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at
the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that
entered into the temple;
We started looking at
this story some months ago as we began to look at another segment of the Holy
Spirit in the life of Peter but then some Special Holy Ghost Services came and
took us away from the story up to now - Special Holy Ghost Service for youths,
Special Holy Ghost Service for financial breakthrough, Special Holy Ghost
Service for the Convention, Special Holy Ghost Service for the barren, Special
Holy Ghost Service for Nigeria and now back to Special Holy Ghost Service for
me! Because when we started looking at this story the first thing we noticed is
that the Bible said, "A certain man" - his name was not given, so
that man could be me and it could be you. And they went on to say that the man
was lame from his mother's womb. And we saw that this man carried his problem
from the womb. And we looked at that one and we learnt that there are
categories of problems.
That there are problems
you cause yourself. Then there are problems somebody caused you and then there
are problems you inherit. Then there are problems that started before you were
born and there are some problems that were waiting for you to be born. And then
there are some problems that start only after you have grown, either you are
married or something. And then we say there are problems in the place of work,
there are problems in the marital home. And then there are problems of long
history and then we said there are even problems after salvation. But as we
looked at all these categories of problems we found that there is somebody who
can solve any problem. Whether it was a problem you caused yourself, or
somebody cursed you, or you inherited it or it started before you were born, or
was waiting for you to be born, or started only after you have grown, or
problem in your place of work, or problem in your marital home or problem of a
long history, or even a problem after salvation. Jesus is the solution to all
of them.
Then we went on to see
that because this man is lame, there were certain things that followed
immediately…that the man was tied down by invisible bands. He was bound but
nobody can see what was binding him, but we also discovered that there is
someone who can break every yoke, whether physical or spiritual and that person
is Jesus. We also said this man was grounded so he couldn't make progress. But
we said that God is the promoter of those that cannot be promoted.
We said that this man
could see with his eyes but there is very little he could do with the rest of
his body. That this man because he was lame, his vision was limited, wherever
they put him, as far as his eyes could see from that spot but since he could
not move his vision is limited.
But then we said, his
problems are much more than that - he cannot run from danger. He is like a city
without walls. But then we said there is a wall for the wall-less, that those
who belong to the Almighty God, He said, "I will be a wall of fire, round
about them."
We also said because he
was lame, he could not chase a thief who robs him and therefore a lot of things
that could be stolen from him he will not be able to get back on his own. But
then we said there is someone who will restore anything that had been stolen
from you. (Amen!)
But we said the worst
problem that his man had was that he couldn't dance, he couldn't praise God the
way he wanted to praise God. He loved praising God, he wanted to dance for God
but he couldn't and that's why we said any reproach in your life, anything that
is not allowing you to praise God the way you want to, God will remove. (Amen!)
Then we also said,
because the man was carried, it means he was a burden and we said there are
categories of burdens.
One there is what we call
the burden of joy and we gave examples then and I remember some time ago I saw
a woman who was carrying a baby behind and a baby in front and she was singing
as she goes... She's carrying two burdens but it was burdens of joy. And all of
you who are trusting God for children, you are coming back with burdens of joy!
(Amen!) And we also gave the example of Jehoshaphat who took three days to
carry money from the enemy into his treasury. And I am looking forward to that
day when some of you will also have that kind of burdens of joy! (Amen!) When
you will carry your money and you are sweating because the bags are heavy.
(Amen!) And they won't be coins, they will be fifty naira notes and hundred
dollars bills! (Amen!) And pounds sterling too in Jesus' Name (Amen!)
But then we said there
are burdens of sorrow, that this particular fellow was one of such a burden. He
was a burden of sorrow to those who were carrying him. And we gave the example
of Naaman. Naaman had a burden but his burden was a burden of sorrow. But then
we said there is someone who is called the burden-bearer, his name, one of the
Names of Jesus Christ is Burden-Bearer.
And then we said there is
a third category of burden, a burden that is a mixture of sorrow and joy. And
we gave the example of the Prophet's widow who had two sons but had a lot of
debt. The children are a joy, but the debt is a sorrow. How to feed them was a
burden and if I remember very well, I told you the story of a friend of mine.
The first delivery of the wife was two sets of girls, second one, two girls,
third one two girls. And they wanted boys, desperately! So they tried once more
and the wife gave birth to triplets. When the husband heard, he ran away
because he was a poor teacher. It was a mixture of sorrow and joy. Whatever may
be your burden tonight, the Burden-Bearer will carry the burden for you!
(Amen!)
That's how far we went at
that time. Now we want to continue from there today. Now they said that they
carried this man daily to ask alms. This man was not just a burden. He was a
daily burden and he was a burden to five people.
Number one he was a
burden to his family. You better tell your neighbour, "Listen carefully,
maybe God is talking to you tonight." He was a burden to his family from
the day he was born he had to be carried. According to Psalm 127:3-5 children
are supposed to be a blessing to the family but this one was a burden to the
family. And if you have been a burden to your family, from today, you will no
longer be a burden.
Number two, he was a
burden to his friends. According to Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, the Bible said, two
are supposed to be better than one. This man was supposed to be a plus to his
friend but instead he was a minus. I've told you the story of a man before, who
borrowed so much money from his friends that whenever the friend see him coming
they run! They don't want him to pay what he owes, only that he shouldn't
borrow more. If there is anyone here that your friends are running from because
of how much you owe or because of the problems that you have caused, in the
mighty name of Jesus the tide will turn for you tonight. (Amen!)
This man, number three,
was a burden to those who gave him alms because the money those people worked
for they wanted to use for something. After all Proverbs 10:15 said the rich
man's wealth is his strong city but this man is a drain on the city of the
strong man.
Number four; he was a
burden to those who did not give him alms because when they saw him and they
didn't give him alms, their conscience troubled them. I am sure some of you
know some people like that in your family. They refuse to work and so you
refuse to give them food because it is written, "He who will not work,
should not eat." But then when you are eating and you are seeing him, how do
you feel? He was a burden to those who did not give him alms.
But number five, he was a
burden to himself because, let us face the truth. Anyone who is healthy.....
When I mean healthy, I mean someone who is not demon-possessed will not like to
be a beggar. If you don't believe me ask Bartemaeus. When Jesus said,
Bartemaeus, what do you want?" What did he say he wanted? I want to see, I
don't want to be a beggar any more!" Anyone who is spiritually whole will
not want to be fed. He will want to be somebody who is feeding others.
I remember a situation
some time ago. One of my cousins came to me in the office. I was tired and I
was just sitting down, I said, "Ah, thank God! I've finished all my
assignment today." Then the door opened and my cousin came in. He is a
student about to return to college. Normally when he is going like that he will
come to say "Bye Bye" and we all know the meaning of that "Bye
Bye" Now when I saw him coming, I said, "Oh God, it's you!" Now,
"Oh God, it's you!" that I was saying is "I have to get up now
and get money!" It's not the money that is the problem, it's the getting
up. But as soon as I said, "Oh God, it's you!" he started crying. He
said, "Daddy, eh, one day I will repay! Don't be fed up with me yet."
I had to get up and hug him! I said, "Son, it's not the money! It's just
that I am tired!" Is anybody here today who will never want to beg again?
In the mighty name of Jesus you will never beg again! (Amen!)
So this man was carried
daily to beg alms and deep within him he was crying to God, "God when will
I cease to be a burden." For those who have that kind of cry, today, my
Father will answer you tonight! (Amen!) Now…
Thank You Father! The
Lord asked me to tell you that it is written that he sent his word and healed
them and delivered them from all their destructions, that one of the ways He's
going to help you tonight is by His word. So please pay attention, I believe
God is speaking to someone here tonight.
Now so, this man they
carried him daily to the gate to ask alms. These people were helping him every
day to solve two problems. He couldn't get to his place of work, if you can
call that one work. So they helped him to get to his place of work. Number two;
he couldn't earn his own daily living so they put him where at least some
tender-hearted people would give him something to eat.
But that was not the real
thing this man wanted - all he wanted is to be healed! And there are certain
problems that only God can solve. No matter how your husband loves you; no
matter how much your father loves you; in fact, no matter how much your pastor
loves you; believe me honestly, no matter how much the General Overseer loves
you, there are certain problems only God can solve. That's why tonight, please,
concentrate your attention on that God. Tell that God from today, I will no
longer be a burden! Say it loud and clear!
In Genesis 30:1-2 Rachel
said to her husband. Give me a child or I die!" And the husband said,
"Am I God?" Am I God? Am I the one who sealed your womb? Am I the Giver
of children?" Brethren, there are certain problems no husband can solve.
Thank God there is a God who is greater than any husband. When you read 2 Kings
5:1-14, In the story of Naaman we found a general in the army, his king loved
him but he had an incurable disease. The King wanted to help him. When he heard
that oh healing can be got in Israel,
he sent a letter to the King of Israel, but that letter to the King of Israel
cannot cure leprosy. Your president may love you. Your Governor may be your
best friend but there are problems only God can solve. Thank God, that God who
can solve all problems is here tonight.
When you read Luke 7:11
-16 about the widow of Nain that was mentioned earlier on in the sermon, we
found that the neighbors surrounded this woman and they were sympathizing with
her, weeping, crying with her, but they couldn't raise her son. But thank God,
the One who is called Jesus, the Burden-Bearer, met her on the way and changed
her sorrow to joy! The beauty of that story is that Jesus Christ is the same,
yesterday, and today, and forever! If he could solve the problem of the widow
of Nain yesterday, He will solve my problem today.
Now, the problem here is
that man is limited. They are limited in the help that they can render but God
is not limited. Man is limited by his lifespan. According to James 4:13-15, he
said what is the life of a man, it is like a vapour. You can say, next year, I
will do this, I will do that, how do you know? You may not even be alive by
tomorrow! But according to Psalm 90:1-2 Our God said in His word, from
everlasting to everlasting thou art God. Man is limited by the amount of wealth
he has and even the Bible says, in Proverbs 23 verse 5, the wealth of the man
that is relying upon to help you can grow wings and fly away. But Psalm 24:1
made it clear that the wealth of the Almighty God is without limits - the earth
is the Lord's and the fullness thereof.
We find that man is
limited by his very nature. The Bible says God is not a man that he should lie.
That means man, by nature, is a liar. He could say, "I will help
you." when what he is actually saying is - "get away from here!"
I am sure some of have experienced that before, I have experienced that one
before. I had a relation who said, "Oh, anytime you need money, just come,
I will give you…" I'm talking of those days when one shilling was a lot of
money. And as soon as I arrived, "Oh, you've come for that money that I
promised you. Then he will call one of his children and give him one pound. He
will show me the one pound so I will be happy. He will tell that one now go and
change the money and bring me the change. I didn't know that he had told the
child "the moment I told you that, go and never come back!" I will
wait and wait and he will say, "I don't know what has happened to that
one. Maybe he has lost the money...... I think you have to come another
time."
But the Bible says let
all men be liars but our God will remain true. He said God is not man that He
should lie, He is not the son of man that He should repent. He said, can He say
something and will He not do it? That same God has said that tonight will be
special in your life. (Amen!) In fact Psalm 33:8 & 9 let the whole earth
fear before the Lord because once He speaks it is done. There's no question of
come tomorrow. Once He has spoken, He has spoken.
Now not only is God
unlimited by His abilities and powers, the Bible said in Psalm 62:11, it said,
all power belongs to God. It said, God has spoken once, twice have I heard it
that power belongs to God. From time to time I've heard people say, when people
want to assure you that some thing is going to happen that if power belongs to
God then this and this will happen. And each time I hear that one I always
relax because I know power belongs to God. And in Jeremiah 32:17 the Bible says
I am the God of all flesh, is there anything too hard for me? I know with my
God nothing shall be impossible.
Now, not only is he so
powerful, because I've seen Him in action now so many times that I know that
there is no limit to His power. Then the Bible says in Matthew 8:1-3 not only
is He able, He is willing. Then they brought this lame man and they placed him
at the Gate. The first time I studied that passage I was puzzled by that fact
and it challenged me tremendously and I am praying that it will challenge you
tremendously tonight too. They brought him and they put him by the gate. 'Why
didn't they take him inside? They tried. These people tried. For forty years,
every day they were carrying this man and they were putting him at the gate -
forty years! But they refused to take him in! Tonight in the mighty name of
Jesus you are going to enter in!
These people tried, but
they didn't do enough and I want to challenge you too, that it is not enough to
educate your children. Make sure you bring them to Christ. It is not enough to
send chop money to your Father and Mother every month, make sure you bring them
to Christ. Show them the way, bring them inside, don't put them at the gate.
That's part of it. The one that shook me most, that personally touched me or
rather the challenge that I received from that little bit of the Scripture, the
challenge which I'm throwing back to you now is that you yourself must refuse
to stop at the gate, you must enter in fully. And I'm going to explain that one
to you tonight. In Revelation 3:15-16
Thank You Father! Daddy
says, as many as are willing to enter tonight, I will open the door to them.
(Amen!) If you want to enter into health, you want to enter into joy, you want
to enter into prosperity, you want to enter into power my Daddy says He will
open the door for you tonight. (Amen!)
Now in Revelation 3:15-16
God said if you want to be cold, be cold. If you want to be hot be hot. He said
he doesn't like anyone who is lukewarm. This fellow didn't stay at home and he
didn't enter the temple he was at the gate. There are many of us like that. We
come to Holy Ghost Service and in another one hour we'll be sleeping. Some came
to the Holy Ghost Service; they got here before you and they are here only to
sell food! That's all they come to do! If you think I'm joking go to the market
now, they are full, they are there! It doesn't matter what the guards may tell
them they say, "What's your business, I am here to sell!" When they
hear shouts of joy, they say, what's happening there? Miracles? Ehhh! Thank You
Jesus! And they keep on turning amala. I pray today that all of you who are
lukewarm, you become hot in Jesus' Name (Amen!) The elders have a saying, How
can you be beside the fire and yet continue to produce maggot? That will never
happen to you from now on in Jesus' Name (Amen!)
This fellow stopped at he
gate, that's where they dropped him. I've been telling my children of recent -
we use the language of the devil without knowing it: "Ahh! Let us give our
Pastor a warm welcome." God doesn't like anything warm, it's either cold
or hot. Some of you, they have to beg you before you will say a hot amen! They
have to beg some of you before your 'alleluia' will be hot. As far as God is
concerned if you were not going to shout "Alleluia" don't shout it at
all, just keep your mouth shut! If you want to shout it, shout it so that
Heaven will hear! Let me hear somebody shout "Alleluia! (Alleluia!)
And Revelation 22:15 says
outside are the dogs. When I read that story I said, O God! They treated this
man as a dog for forty years! Matthew 7:6 says, dogs don't get holy things. You
don't throw holy things to dogs. In other words there are certain miracles that
dogs will never get! Jesus said to the woman who came twice, "I cannot
give the bread of children to dogs! In John 14:3 Jesus said, where I am, my own
will be there. In Revelations 3:21 Jesus Christ said those who overcome will
sit with me on my throne. He said in John 10:10 He said that I have come that
ye might have life and have it more abundantly.
The day I read that
passage I made up my mind anything that needed to be done in the church I am
going to play my part so hard that everybody will not that this man is not
outside, he is in, he is in. There are many of us in the church, we are just
there to watch to warm the benches. Somebody else will clean the bench before
we come. We never think that we could get that involved. And if they don't
clean it very well, then you grumble. The moment I read this story - long ago
when I was a young Christian, I made up my mind, I'm not staying outside. If I
don't want to belong then I won't belong but if I am going to belong I will
belong so much that people will know that somebody has come. And if you don't
believe me, ask from those who know me, they will tell you. They will tell you
that within a year of my joining the church, everybody knew, somebody had
joined. I'm not saying that I became a preacher but anytime they say there is a
work to be done I will be the first to be there.
I remember a day very
well, we were filling, pushing lagoon away from the little land that the church
had at Ebute-Metta and we were doing it by carrying sawdust from the sawmill
there and carrying it into the lagoon. And I got a big basket, and remember at
that time I was a lecturer at the University
of Lagos. And so there
was a go-slow and then one of my students, one of my former students, was
driving his car, he saw somebody coming out through the church, he thought
there must be a way out so he followed. When he came into the church, he saw me
carrying my big basket of sawdust, he said, "Haaa! Oga!" I said,
"Which oga?" I'm oga in the University of Lagos,
before Jesus Christ I am nothing!"
Don't stay outside! If
you remain outside, if you remain lukewarm you are in the same category as a
dog. I am not the one who said so; it's the Bible. He said where I am my own
should be there and He said, don't just take half-hearted steps. Go all the
way. In Psalm 23:5 David said thou anointed my head with oil, my cup did what?
Runneth over! When you are asking God for something keep asking until the cup
runs over! In John 15:11 it said ask till your joy be full!
The Almighty God expects
you not to be by the gate but to be right inside. I've told you before. It is
not good to be average. If you want to be on the left side, be completely on
the left side, let them know you there! I told you I love the late Fela. It's a
pity that somehow I couldn't get him before he died. I love that man because he
made a mark on his own side! He married … how many wives? 27 wives… I like that
man. I prefer that one to somebody who has one wife at home and two outside -
that's rubbish. If you want to marry, marry 27 that's great! The elder says if
you want to eat a toad, eat that one with plenty of eggs. Let everybody know
that you are a toad-eater and if you want to be on the side of the Lord, you
want to be married to one wife, marry that one wife and keep your eyes away
from the others! If you want to live holy, live holy; let the whole world know
that this man is for God! Do I hear you say 'Amen!' to that? (Amen!)
I have always said it, if
you want to go to hell, then make sure you enjoy this world very well. Make
money by any means, kidnap somebody, turn him to a charm, make money, marry as
many wives as possible, build as many houses as possible, so that when you get
to hell, Satan will say you tried! But if you are going to heaven, then make up
your mind you are going. So what is the use of carrying the Bible every time
when you are not going to heaven anyway? I mean, the Bible made it clear -
every sin is sin, whether you steal one naira or you steal one billion, you are
a thief - is that not so? Don't stay by the gate - go in! Psalm 92:12-14.
Thank You Daddy! God said
He's already surprising somebody here tonight. (Amen!) I know that one I thank
God for it.
Psalm 92:12-14 I've told
us before there are five categories of wealth. There are those who are poor and
God said, the poor will always remain in the world, only that I will not be one
of them. Next to them are the comfortable. The book-me-down and at the end of
the month. They pay and then they begin to book down again. I am not going to
be in that category anymore. (Amen!) Next to them are the rich. These are the
people who have savings account, that is after they have eaten there is always
something little left over which they put in savings account. These are the
most terrible of all because they are not poor and they are not where they
should be. Almost everything they have, they have to manage, they just manage.
And then next to those people are the wealthy - these people who are wealthy,
banks owe them. They are not bad, maybe a step on the door, they are not fully
in. Then those on the extreme right are the people the Bible calls, the
flourishing. These are the people that God said, will lend to nations. That is
where I am going to be! How many people who are here who will flourish? Now let
me hear you say a hot 'Amen!' (Amen!) Don't be satisfied with a second-hand
car. Are you going to be a tenant for the rest of your life? The day your
landlord says, "I don't want you to call the Name of Jesus in my
house," you will find yourself outside.
I said, God does not want
you to be just great because there are categories of greatness. There are those
who are nothing. There are those who are something, whenever they want to go to
any special occasion they go and borrow the dress. Then there are those who are
great, they don't borrow their own, they have it. But then there are those who
are very great. And then there are those who are exceedingly great. That's what
I want to be, I want to be exceedingly great. If you are going to be
exceedingly great shout a great Alleluia! (Alleluia!)
Ohh! There are some of us
who are good Christians, baptized in the Holy Spirit, tongue-talking - once in
a while they heal somebody with headache. That's not where God wants you to
stay. No, no, no, that's not where God wants you to stay. In 1 Cor. 12:31 the
Bible says covet earnestly, the best gifts. Covet - that's the only place in
the Bible where God says, covetousness is okay. He said, when it comes to the
gifts of the Holy Spirit covet it earnestly. When I read that passage, I said,
thank you Lord. I've told some of you before. When I read that passage, I said,
"God can we talk?" Because one of the things I also said when I
became a Christian and I read this passage, I'm challenging you with tonight,
is that once I see something in the Bible we will settle it. It was the day I
read that if you ask anything in my name, that's the day I told God, Heal me
and I will serve you. If I had known that He will take note of everything, I
would have said, Heal me and I will praise You." He healed me and some
years later He came round and said, "Well, how about the second part of
the bargain?"
Covet earnestly the best
gifts.' I said, "Lord, let us talk." Elisha got a double portion of
the spirit of Elijah. Nobody got it from him. So I say I want a double portion
of the power of Elisha, added to a double portion of the power of Peter, added
to a double portion of the power of Paul, added to the double portion of the
power that was on Jesus when He was on earth - add everything together and
double it again. I remember that day God said, "Son you are asking for
trouble. I said, "It will be a good trouble!" I don't know the kind
of Christian you want to be but I am asking you in the Name of Jesus to change
your mind tonight. I want every one of you to become a giant for Jesus Christ
(Amen!)
The Bible talks about
David's mighty men. David had some men that were mighty. Each one of them was a
mighty man - on his own! One of them was fighting, he fought so much that the
sword stuck to his hand! The sword clung to his hand - he couldn't get the
sword to go. That's what I want you to be. I want the world to know that God
had raised up some people in Nigeria each one of who is mighty! At a stage in
the life of David, they told him, "sit down at home, we will fight the
battles!" I don't want weak children. I want everyone who is connected
with me in anyway to be able to raise the dead! (Amen!) How many of you want to
be mighty? Let me hear you say a mighty 'Amen!' (Amen!)
Acts of the Apostles
5:12-16, we are coming to that in the future. Acts 5:12-16 said that the shadow
of Peter was healing the sick and I study the Bible very well. That's one of
the reasons why I am discussing Peter with you now. Peter was an ordinary man
like you and I. He didn't go to the University, he didn't even go to the
Secondary School, in fact in one of his letters he confessed, 'I don't even
understand the writing of Paul.' He said his grammar is too much for me. And
yet the shadow of this ordinary fisherman was healing the sick. And he had only
one thing, he had the Holy Spirit and there is only one Holy Spirit, the same
Holy Spirit is available to you and to me today. Our shadows will heal the sick
in Jesus' Name (Amen!)
The Bible says in Hebrews
10:19-23 - it said we are not just to come into the temple, it said we can now
enter into the Holy of Holies. He said we can enter into the Holy of Holies. It
said we can be where God is seated, go right into His presence. I have
discovered one thing about God. He doesn't get angry of you move too close to
Him. You can't get too close to Him. As far as He's concerned: "Come,
come, come, come…"
I mean, I've told you
before… when my last child was very young…. flat on my face, at times
completely naked because there no AC in that prayer room at that time and heat
is not going to drive me away from the presence of God, but my son, he doesn't
care! What does he know about you are in the presence of God? He doesn't even
knock the door. He just opens the door. Daddy, I want sweet!" Now do I
take cane and begin to beat him? No, I'm not crazy. And in the same manner…
many of you don't know the reason why I call Him 'Daddy' … because He's my
Daddy, because I'm a baby in His hands! The problem with some of you is that
you have grown, you have grown too much, you are big men, big women now, you
can't go in like a child now before the Almighty God! I go into His presence,
You are my Daddy and this is what I want. You give me first, if you want to
correct me, you can correct me later but I want this thing now." The Bible
says we can enter into the Holiest. I know somebody's going to enter into the
Holiest tonight. (Amen!)
Before you go and pray,
because He's asking me to stop now, so I will stop for a while. There are some
of you who are at the gate. You have heard about salvation all these years -
"Give your life to Jesus!" "Ehh, I'm coming! I'm coming! Ehh,
I'm coming! I mean, you know me, whatever I'm doing, I do it with all my heart.
That's why, this being born-again something Once. I'm born again, I won't be
able to lie again, I won't be able to cheat again, I won't be able to have
girlfriends again, I won't be able to have boyfriends again! Don't worry, I'm
coming!" The Bible says outside are the dogs. If you are here tonight and
you are not yet born again, leave the gate and come in! Come to the Lord now,
now! Come and surrender your life to Him now! I'm not begging you, if you want
to stay out there, stay out! If you want to remain a burden for the rest of
your life, if you are okay, stay out! But if you want to come into Jesus Christ
and say you are tired of being lukewarm, you want to become hot for Him, come
and give your life to Him now!
The rest of us let's
stand on our feet and call on the Almighty God and say, "Father, I want to
be the best I can be! I want to be the richest, I want to be the best, I want
to be the greatest, I want to be the most powerful Christian on earth! Father,
I'm coming in tonight! I'm coming to the Holy of Holies tonight! Take control!
My Father And my God, I am coming in tonight!" Open your mouth and pray
and cry unto the Lord! Don't cry, don't pray as if you don't know what you are
talking about! If you want to be the best, open your mouth and pray! If you
want the best that God can give you, open your mouth and pray! Call on the
Almighty God and say, "Tonight O Lord, I refuse to be average any longer!
I refuse to be average any longer! I want to be the best I can be! I want to be
the strongest I can be! I want to be the most powerful I can be! Everything
that you can give me Lord, I want it tonight!" If you want to give your
life to Jesus hurry up now! Come and call on Him and say "Lord, I am tired
of staying outside, I want to come in now! I want to come in now I want to
surrender my life to you now! And I will live for you, I will live my life for
you!" Come now the Lord is calling you!
Open your mouth and call
on the Almighty God and say "Father, from now on, I want the best, the
best that You can give! I want to be the best that I can be! I want to be the
best kind of Christian the world had ever known! I don't want to be an ordinary
Christian any more! I want you to help me O Lord! I want you to help me
tonight! That power of the Holy Spirit that was in Peter that caused his shadow
to heal, I want that power tonight! I want that power tonight. That power that
was in Paul, that caused his handkerchief to cast out demons, I want that power
tonight!" Those of you who want to give your life to Jesus hurry up from
all over the place now, come on up, the Lord is calling you…. In Jesus' mighty
Name we have prayed (Amen!)
Before I finish praying,
if there is anybody right there in the congregation, who is not yet born again
and is sitting down there, let me warn you! The gates of mercy may close on you
tonight. If you are not yet born again and you are still there in the crowd,
before I finish praying, come out and come out quickly! Don't say I did not
warn you. This is a different kind of night completely. It's God who brought
you here. The people who invited you here, they brought you to the gate. God is
inviting you to come in. Now it is up to you to decide that you want to come in
or you want to stray out. And if the Gates of Mercy are closed, then they are
closed, so I am going to ask you, if you are still out there and you are not
born-again, you better hurry up now!
I just want to thank You
for Your Word. I just want to thank You for Your word. The Word that You sent
to us tonight. Please accept our thanks in Jesus' Name (Amen!) I thank You that
there is power in the word to save because Your Word is the Truth and You said,
we shall know the truth and the truth shall make us free. Thank You that we
have heard the truth tonight! Glory be to Your Holy Name Lord! (Alleluia!)
Please accept our thanks in Jesus' Name (Amen!) You said in Your Word that no
man can come unto me except my Father draws him, thank You for drawing these
people tonight and thank You that they have not refused Your drawing. Father,
accept our thanks in Jesus' Name (Amen!) Now You promised Lord, that whosoever
will come unto You, You will in no wise cast out, these people have come to You
now, receive them in Jesus' Name (Amen!) forgive them in Jesus' Name (Amen!)
save their souls in Jesus' Name (Amen!) Your Blood that cleanses from all sins,
let it wash away all their sins in Jesus' Name (Amen!). write their names in
the Book of Life and let them be Yours forever in Jesus' Name (Amen!) Father,
even as Your Word has saved them, let the same Word heal them in Jesus' Name
(Amen!) Let the Word deliver them from their destruction in Jesus' Name (Amen!)
And from today, let them become very strong Christians in Jesus' Name (Amen!)
Thank You Father! In Jesus' mighty Name we have prayed! (Amen!) Amen! Praise
the Lord! Thank You Father! Amen!
Now while we are waiting
for our brothers and sisters who have given their lives to Jesus, you are going
to pray a prayer or two. You can pray it quietly, you can pray it sitting down
if you like, but before we begin to pray, remember those of you who have
testimonies see the Pastors behind the altar and they will listen to your
testimony. Remember, any miracle God had done for you that you had testified
about, the devil cannot steal such a miracle but the testimony you keep to
yourself, can still be stolen away by the enemy. That's why you must give your
testimony so that a seal will be put on your miracles.
I want you to examine
your life and examine the areas in which you are still a burden - whether you
are a burden to your family or a burden to your town, you might even be a
burden to your Pastor! You might be one of those people the Pastor will see
coming and he wants to run. Talk to God tonight and say, "Oh,
Burden-Bearer! Carry my burden tonight! I don't want to be a burden any more! I
don't want to be a burden any more!"
At that Name every knee
should bow. Let me hear somebody shout that Name! (Jesus!) If you are not
ashamed of that Name let me hear you shout the Name of Jesus! (Jesus!) Who is
the King of Kings? (Jesus!) Who is the Lord of Lords/ (Jesus!) who is the great
I AM! (Jesus!) Who is the great Saviour? (Jesus!) Who is the Great Physician?
(Jesus!) Who is the Redeemer? (Jesus!) Who destroyed Satan? (Jesus!) Who is the
Lover of your soul? (Jesus!) Who is the One who is coming again? (Jesus!) Let
me hear you shout the Name! (Jesus!) Thank You Father! Glory be to God! Thank
You Lord! Father, we thank You for that Name that is above every other Name.
That Name at which every knee must bow. Thank You because You have given us
that Name for salvation, for healings, for deliverance, for answers to prayers,
for victory, for joy! Glory be to Your Holy Name Lord! Father, let that Name be
sufficient for us today. Thank You for everything Lord. In Jesus' mighty Name
we have prayed! Let somebody shout 'Alleluia!' (Alleluia!)
God bless you! You may be
seated! For few minutes more … then we are going to pray one or two violent
prayers and then we will see what God will do.
We were looking at Acts
3:1 & 2 and we were studying the story of the man that they carried daily
and put at the gate to beg for alms. And I said to you before I left, I said,
"I challenge you not to stay at the gate, that we must go all the way
in." But when you look at the story of this man you discover that he would
have loved to go all the way in himself, but he couldn't because something was tying
him down. I know that he wanted to go all the way in because the moment his
yokes were destroyed he went straight into the temple. Those who brought him
could have taken him in but they did not. We have concluded that it takes God
to take you all the way in. Now what is the difference between those who are
in-in and those who are one leg in, one leg out? In other words, what is the
secret of excellence? What do we notice about some people in the Bible who went
all the way in, who became excellent?
I will just mention a few
of them because of our time. And we will take a man called Moses, when we
mention the name of Moses, it rang a bell and it's been ringing bells for
thousands of years Here is one man who is respected in 3 major religions - in
Judaism, they recognize Moses; the Muslims call him Annobi Musa and of course
we know him as Moses. This man has been dead for thousands of years but his
name is still ringing bells. I want to be greater than Moses. What about you?
Open your mouth and say it loud and clear because God is listening and because
the Bible says you can be greater than him. The Bible says, of all men born of
a woman, there is no one greater than John the Baptist, in the Old Testament,
but those of us, the smallest of us, who are born-again, it said we are greater
than even the John Baptist.
What is the secret of the
excellence of Moses? Exodus 3:11 & 12. When God told him to go and bring
the children of Israel out of Egypt. He said, "Who am I, that I will bring
the children of Israel out of Egypt?" God said, "I will be with
you." God is going to be with somebody here tonight. (Amen!)
What is the secret of the
excellence of Joshua? How come that while Joshua was alive, nobody was able to
withstand him. Any direction he wanted to go, he just kept going? His secret.
Joshua 1:5 God said, "As I was with Moses, so shall I be with you."
In fact by the time you get to Joshua 6:27 the Bible says, Joshua became very
famous because God was with him.
What is the secret of the
excellence of Samuel? 1 Samuel 3:19-20 The Bible said, the child Samuel grew
until he became known all over the nation because God was with him.
What is the secret of the
excellence of David? How come he was able to knock out Goliath and vanquish
him? In 1 Samuel 17:37 King Saul, "Go and the Lord be with you." So
David himself said in Psalm 18:35-36 He said, God you have held me by the right
hand and your gentleness had made me great.
What is the secret of the
excellence of Daniel? The Bible says in Daniel 6:1-3 He said, an excellent spirit
was found in him and that spirit is none other than the Spirit of the living
God.
So what is the secret of
excellence? It is simply divine partnership. That lame man wanted to come in.
No human being was willing to help him all the way. But the Lord himself
intervened and the two of them became partners. And some people are going to
enter into partnership with God tonight. (Amen!) And nothing will be able to
hold them down ever after; whether it is curses in the family, or covenants
with the devil, or sickness or disease, or demons or whatever, from tonight as
they enter into partnership with the Almighty God nothing will be able to stop
them again. (Amen!)
In Philippians 4:13 the
Bible says, I can do all things - how many things? - all things through Christ
who strengthens me. I have discovered, that the moment you enter into
partnership with God, anything people called impossible will become a joy for
you to attempt. They told me that no Pentecostal church will ever be registered
in Israel. They said that if there is any Pentecostal church in Israel at all,
it is hiding underground, it is not officially known. I said, "Good, I
like that. The Redeemed Christian Church of God will be registered." They
told me it can't happen. I said, "Wait and see." Today, not only are
we officially registered in Israel, we have eleven churches there already.
Whenever they say, "Impossible!" Just call on your Senior Partner.
From today, if you will say, "Lord, I want to go all the way with
You." You will look at a jungle and say I want a city here and a city will
be there. You will see a big river and you will say I want a bridge here and a
bridge will be there! You will tell the Almighty God I want 4 million people to
gather, 5 million will come! You will tell the Almighty God I want to become
the greatest and you will become the greatest. How many of you want to be the
greatest? Let me hear you say, 'Amen' (Amen!)
I was talking to my
Senior Pastors some days ago and I told them a game that myself and my children
used to play. I will say something and I told them, the only answer they must
give me is, "Why not?" Are you ready for that play? Whatever
statement I make just say… what are you to say? (Why not?) You can be the
richest. (Why not?) You can be number one. (Why not?) You can raise the dead.
(Why not?) You can be a world evangelist. (Why not?) You can be the best
Christian in the whole world. (Why not?) You can reign with Jesus Christ (Why
not?) Give the Lord a big hand if you believe that! And the truth of the matter
is. Why not? Why can't I be the best? The number one, does he have two heads?
Is his father an angel? Is the mother a cherub? If somebody can be number one,
I can be number one. If there is something called the best, I can be the best.
If you are going to be the best, let me hear your best 'Amen' so far. (Amen!)
Now, very soon we will be
praying but there is something you need to know about those who excel. On the
surface, in the physical, they are always gentle people, gentle as a dove,
humble, just going as if butter cannot melt in their mouth but in the spiritual
realm, they are violent people. You need to note that one. You see, I don't
know if you have read Matthew 11:12 before. The Bible says, from the days of
John the Baptist, the Kingdom of God, not the Kingdom of man, not political
government, but the Kingdom of God! The spiritual Kingdom suffereth violence
and the violent have taken it - how? - by force. So when you look at those who
are going to excel you will notice that when they praise God they do it
violently! People don't beg them to shout 'Alleluia!' and they are not ashamed
to praise God anywhere.
One preacher came here
some time ago and he said, I've never seen Pastor Adeboye without his
tambourine. I travel abroad with it. When the customs officer opens, that’s the
first thing they will see. Are you a musician? No sir, I'm a Pastor. So what is
this one for? It's for praising my God. Ohh, these people never grow too big to
praise my God. They are like David, they dance until their belly will come out
of their flowing gowns. They praise God violently. I remember in one of the
meetings of the PFN, we were praising God. And I was gone. My eyes were closed
and I was enjoying my father and a Bishop came in, apparently he was stretching
his hand to shake me. He's here, I was there, after some time he left me alone,
he saw, this one he must be crazy! How many of you are going to praise God
violently tonight? Let me hear one 'Alleluia!' to start with. (Alleluia!)
Secondly, they give
violently. You see they know the law of harvest. They know that they are going
to become the richest and they know that the law of harvest says, the more you
give, the more you will get. So you find somebody like Solomon sacrificing one
thousand offerings in one day. I've told you the story of a man before. When we
went to one convention and we were more than 17,000 there and it came out when
they wanted to take an offering that he said, 'I beg all of you, give as much
as you can today because the total you give is what myself and my wife will
give." And we all said, We are in trouble today. You and your wife"
And that day, all of us we gave 3.5 million dollars. I was sure that when they
announce it he's going to say, "Ha ahh! I was just joking!" He said,
"is that all you can do?" I said, "Daddy, this man knows a
secret! I'm going to find out his secret and I discovered, five years before,
he started a business with 500 dollars. I told God it is an insult for me to
give you 10% when I keep 90%! I will give you 90% and I will keep 10%. Five
years later, five hundred dollars had become fifty million dollars!
They praise God
violently, they give violently and they pray violently. You see some of us pray
as if, if God answers, if He doesn't answer, well, all right. Some of us pray
and say, "Well God ahhh, just heal me." But some of us say God, I
don't want You to heal me alone, I want my shadow to heal!" They pray the
kind of prayer that will shake the house. Acts 4:31 told us how the apostles
prayed and the house where they were shook. I don't have time to tell you
stories but I can tell you that that same thing had happened to me not once,
not twice. You see the reason, they pray violent prayers is because they expect
their Senior Partner, the Almighty God, to do the impossible. Joshua looked up
at the sun. He said, "Ah, I'm about to win a victory and sun you want to
set." He said, "Sun! Stand there! Moon! Stay where you are! Until I
finish what I am doing!". And the Almighty God said," That's my boy!"
Some of us pray prayers as if we are beggars. We are children of the King of
Kings! I don't know about you, but my Father is the King of Kings; my Father is
the Lord of Lords. Because I know He can do anything that's why I ask Him for
the impossible. I like Elisha very much. You know how many years we spent
discussing Elisha. When his father, Elijah asked him to ask for something. He
asked for something that Elijah himself said, "Mmmh - mmhh, you this boy!
You have asked for a hard thing!" All those who are going to excel always
ask for hard things. And that is why tonight, we are going to ask for some hard
things. I'm talking of those of us who want to excel.
Our first prayer is going
to be based on something that happened in the life of Moses. In Exodus 14 the
Bible said, in verse 16, when the children of Israel were by the Red Sea, God
said to Moses, "Why are you crying unto me? Are you not the leader of the
people? Didn't I tell you I'd be with you? Tell the children of Israel to move
forward! " "But Daddy. Red Sea in front…"God said, "But
you, lift up your hand!" "Lift up my hand? Is that all?" God
said, "Lift up your hand." And he stretched his hand towards the Red
Sea. The Bible said, as soon as Moses lifted his hand towards the Red Sea, God
took over. The Senior Partner took over! And He caused the east wind to blow
all night. Moses lifted his hand and then went to sleep and then God worked all
night. I'm sure you know God does not sleep nor slumber. By the following
morning there was an expressway in the Red Sea. You are going to pray a prayer
now. The first thing I want you to do is, shout 'Alleluia!" (Alleluia!)
And then you are going to
stand on your feet and stretch your hand and say, "Father, I am stretching
my hand now, every Red Sea before me, let them part now!" Open your mouth
now and begin to pray!
Open your mouth and call
on the Almighty God! Say, "Father! I lift my hand now… oh yes! Every Red
Sea, every thing blocking my way, let them part right now! Oh yes Lord! Lift my
hand today, every hindering force in my way, let them art now, right now, in
the mighty Name of Jesus! Every form of Red Sea blocking my way, let them part
now! Every Red Sea, whatever may be the name, let it part now! Let it part now!
Let it part now! Let the east wind blow oh tonight! Let the east wind blow, all
night! Let me be able to pass through on dry ground! Let every Red Sea part
now! Thank You Jesus! Blessed be Your Holy Name Lord! Thank You Lord! In Jesus'
mighty Name we have prayed! (Amen!)
Father, I join my faith
to the faith of Your children, and as I lift my hand now, every Red Sea before
any of these Your children, I decree that they part way in Jesus' Name (Amen!)
Everything that is called Red Sea, blocking the way of Your children, I decree
that they part now in Jesus' Name (Amen!) Every enemy that will follow them
after tonight let them drown in the Red Sea in Jesus' Name (Amen!) Thank You my
Father! Glory be to Your Name! In Jesus' mighty Name we pray! (Amen!) Amen!
Sit down for a minute,
you'll be standing very soon. The second prayer you are going to pray has
something to do with David, another excellent champion. I've said this one
before: Nobody teaches anyone that if you see something coming towards your
face this is what you must do. Do you teach anybody that? Without anybody
teaching you, even without thinking at all, if you see something coming towards
your face, what you will do without thinking is what? You dodge! Now David
stood before Goliath and he flung his stone towards him. Goliath saw the stone
coming. Why didn't he dodge? Because two mighty hands held his head! And said,
"no, no, no, no, you are not turning, wait for the stone! Glory be to God!
And that's going to be your second prayer.
If we look like children
today, remember it is the faith of children that God respects. You are going to
stand and you are going to swing your own catapult and you are going to say,
"Lord, I'm releasing my own stone today. Every Goliath in my life, their
head must crack!" Go ahead talk to the Almighty God! Father! In the mighty
Name of Jesus I am releasing my stone tonight. Every Goliath that may remain in
my life, their head must crack tonight, their head must break open tonight!
Every Goliath that is left in my life, their head must break tonight in the
mighty Name of Jesus! Every Goliath in my life must be knocked down flat
tonight! In the mighty Name of Jesus! In Jesus' mighty Name we have prayed
(Amen!)
Now please remain in an
attitude of prayer - this is very serious. Many of you will never forget
tonight.
When Goliath fell, David
had no sword with him but he took the sword of Goliath and used it to cut off
his head. You are going to make a symbolic move tonight. Believe that even as
you are swinging your hand down, you are cutting off the head of your Goliath.
And then you will pray and say, "Father! In the name of Jesus I use the
sword of my enemy to cut off his head! ! In the name of Jesus I use the sword
of my enemy to cut off his head! In the mighty name of Jesus I use the sword of
my enemy to cut off his head! My enemy must lose his head tonight in the mighty
Name of Jesus! I use the sword of my enemy to cut off his head! In the mighty
name of Jesus I use the sword of my enemy to cut off his head! Blessed be Your
Holy Name Father! So shall it be for ever and ever! Thank You Lord! In Jesus'
mighty Name we have prayed (Amen!)
Father, once again, I'm
joining my faith to the faith of your children. As I swing my hand O Lord I am
releasing the Rock of Ages to go now and break the head of every Goliath in the
lives of these your children! (Amen!) Every Goliath that had been terrorizing
Your children! Every Goliath that had been saying they will not reach their
goal! Every Goliath that will want to take them into bondage! Father! Tonight!
I decree: all your heads are cracked in Jesus' Name (Amen!) And now Father, as
I swing my hand, I take the sword of the enemy and I use it to cut off his head
in Jesus' Name (Amen!) All the Goliaths in the lives of Your children shall

You may be seated for a
minute. Just one more prayer and it has to do with Joshua.
I remember the first time
here that God told us to stretch a piece of cloth somewhere in the old
auditorium, and that those who were barren should come and touch the cloth and
they were coming and they were coming. After some time I got tired, so I said,
"Well, that's enough." One woman said, "No, it can't be enough,
I have not touched it yet!" I said, "Don't worry, I will pray for
you!" She said, "No, you said we are to touch. That's what I am going
to do." We said, "Ah-ah woman. we…" She said, "eh-eh!"
Then she began to cry and began to make all kinds of commotion. Finally I said,
"All right give her the.. Take!" The following year when she brought
her baby she said, "Eh-ehh, I told you!" God said we should do
something that's what we will do. Joshua came face to face with the wall of Jericho
and as he was surveying the wall of Jericho, his Senior Partner came. And you
trust Joshua, he's not someone who will stay at the gate. When there's a fight
to be fought, he's ready to fight! He drew his sword," Who are you? Are
you my friend or my enemy?" That One said, "I am the
Commander-in-Chief of the Hosts of Heaven." "Ah!" He fell on his
face and said, "Welcome sir!"
You see, many of you
think you can fight your battles alone. If only you enter into partnership with
him. Even when you are surveying the battle He will come. So He began to give
instruction to Joshua: "go round, do this, do that..... Finally,
shout." You know the rest of the story: Joshua and the rest of the
children of Israel shouted. The people on the wall thought they were stupid.
What kind of soldiers were these walking about with their mouths shut? First
day, second day, sixth day, then on the seventh day they even did it seven
times! They thought they were stupid. I am sure if somebody came in here who's
a stranger and he saw all you big people swinging your hand, he's going to look
at you and say, "What's wrong with these people?" You wait! You are
going to laugh last! (Amen!) And when they shouted the wall of Jericho fell!
I remember very well, the
case of a woman, at the Headquarters, her problem is that any food she ate, she
would vomit. She had spent all her money on that problem and she came to church
that day and God said all He wanted us to do was shout one big 'Alleluia!' as
she opened her mouth to shout, and she really got ready to shout, out of her
mouth jumped out a worm. That which had been causing her problem jumped out
when she wanted to shout. We are going to shout tonight. I say we are going to
shout tonight. And as we shout tonight, this very special night, every wall of
Jericho in our lives will fall. (Amen!)
Now, I am not going to
beg you to shout. You know there are various ways of getting victory. If you
have a mountain ahead of you, if you like you can climb the mountain, if you
like you can drill a hole through the mountain, if you like you can walk round
and round and round, until you come out on the other side but if you like you
can dynamite the mountain so that the mountain will never be there again for
ever. I don't know which way you want your own to be. Forget anybody on your
right, forget everybody on your left, you are going to shout one Alleluia, the
kind you have never shouted before! And you are going to shout it until the
wall of Jericho in your life will fall down flat! Are you ready? You didn't
even say your 'Yes' enough! Sisters are you ready? (Yes!) Brothers are you
ready? (No!) Praise the Lord! Aahh! Thank You Jesus! All Glory be to God!

The Lord said, the star
of someone will begin to rise as from today. (Amen!) Thank You Father! Glory be

The Lord said, there is
someone here tonight, from tonight, He will take you from the river to the sea
(Amen!) and from the sea to the ocean! (Amen!) Thank You Jesus!
The Lord said, there is
someone here today, every door that had been shut against you had been opened!
(Amen!) Thank You Father! Thank You Father!
The Lord said there is
someone here tonight, you thought you had seen miracles before, God said, I am
just beginning with you. (Amen!) Thank You Father! Thank You Father!
Father, I just want to
bless Your Name. I just want to glorify Your Name.
The Lord said, there's
someone here tonight, nobody in your family had ever exceeded sixty years of
age before they die. The Lord asked me to tell you because you shouted tonight
that curse on your family had been broken. (Amen!)
The Lord said, there
someone here tonight, that when I was talking about the burden of joy, of a
woman of a woman who was carrying a baby in front and a baby behind, you wished
that that would be your case. God said, your request had been granted. (Amen!)
Thank You Father! Glory
be to Your Holy Name! My Father and my God I just want to thank You, thank You
for what You have done tonight. Thank You for what You have done tonight. Thank
You for the victories You have given us tonight. Accept our thanks in Jesus'
Name (Amen!) Father, I pray that even as Your children will continue to praise
You, the miracles will continue so that by the time we are going home tonight,
we will be laughing at the devil Thank You Father! Glory be to Your Holy Name!

I believe it is mine but
the Spirit of God said, I should share it just in case there may be one other
person. God said, somebody is going to receive a divine handshake tonight.
(Amen!) So if you are the one joining me because I've already claimed that one
for myself, by this sign you shall know. Your hand will be warm for the next
three days. The palm of your hand will be warm for the next three days. Anyway
those of you who want to hear have heard abi? so don't worry if you feel it you
just know you have received that divine handshake. And I'm sure you know the
meaning of that. It means that whatsoever you touch from now on will prosper.
(Amen!) So even if you have nothing to thank God for tonight, thank God for me.

Okay, the testimonies
please two-two minutes. We are running out of time.
Praise the Lord! My
testimony goes thus. Early this year I was pregnant so I went to the hospital.
The day the doctor confirmed that I was pregnant that same day I started
bleeding in the night. When it continued I went back to the hospital. I told
the doctor. So after series of tests and scan, they told me that the baby in my
womb was dead, that they were going to evacuate the pregnancy but that
immediately I had to be placed on admission in the hospital. So I begged them
that I had to go home and prepare and come back. I was able to convince them.
What was on my mind was that I was at Lekki '98. I remember that night, that
our Father in the Lord, the GO, said there was a woman at Lekki '98 who did not
consent the baby in her womb was dead but the woman said she will get to Lekki
'98 first. I thank God that I had already bought the video cassette of the
Lekki '98 so I rushed back home. I played the video cassette. I listened to it
from the beginning. When it got to that portion, I claim it and something told
me that God has answered my prayer. So I promised God, I said, "God, If
this thing come to be, that I will come here and testify to the glory of God.
And that if the baby is a boy I will name the boy Enoch after the GO. So I went
back to the hospital. I went back to the hospital. I was there for two weeks.
The doctors they kept on bombarding me with the threat of evacuating the baby in
my womb, that the baby was dead, but I knew that the God who had spoken to me
is true and faithful to His word. So this evening, children of God, I am
standing here with the baby. Praise the Lord!
Praise God. My name is
Sister Mokunfayo Babatola. I thank God for what He did for me. I came from US
in June this year. I was very sick before I went to my town, the day I want to
go to my home-town. I started having stomach pain. Later I went to the doctor.
He told me that I was pregnant, that the pregnancy was not in the right place
so they did operation for me. After the operation I started having different
types of pains. So later I went back to the doctor, I explained to him. He told
me he's not the one who did the operation that it's God who did it. So I came
to Convention in August this year when our father in the Lord said those who
trust God for the fruit of the womb should come out and I came out. I touched
the altar and God healed me. Before I can't walk like I walked before, but now
I can walk very well. I can eat. Even if they give mea bowl of pounded yam now,
I can finish it. Praise God!
Praise the Lord! My name
is Peter Adeluyi Adewole. Like I used to have a kind of thing that I will saw
my father in dream pursuing me. Sometime he will come and give me the money.
But when those thing happen, I will not have money physical. So when it comes
at a time, I went back home and I called him and my mother and I told him about
the dream. He said it was true, that that thing will not happen again. There
was a time I went home again. I went to my mother's room first. So later he now
called me that say that I did not know that he's the one who can make us to
prosper, all of us. But when I came here in October our father in the Lord said
that there's somebody here, that the enemy that are disturbing the family will
die before the ending of the year. So my father died last year, December 7th.
Praise the Lord! So another testimony that I want to give is that during HGS
July, our father in the Lord said, there was somebody here, that God will give
the person an urge to do something for God, that the person should do it.
That's where his own glory is. So when I got home on Sunday, God told me that I
should go and destroy one idol in my town, that they made a covenant in that
place, that they buried three people alive, that the war will not come to that
city and no good thing will enter our city. So, that night I went. It was the
night that M.K.O. died that I went there. I destroyed the thing with petrol and
with fire. So the next morning, everybody was shouting this thing has been
destroyed, maybe by students because of M.K.O. But I thank the Lord that if not
because of that one that happened, it was God that organized it like that if
not they send hara to kill me. Praise the Lord! Another thing that
happened….that's all right, that's all right. You have spent enough time. We

because.. I'm Dr. E.O. Alabi. I had an encounter with Satan in a white garment
church, which I've been for 23 years. And the encounter was tough, very tough
because I had stroke, I had failure of organ system and the doctor said I
should forget, I cannot get out o f it. All the doctors I met, all the
consultants I met, they felt that was the end. So I was believing God and I
came here and I'm happy to report now that I am here now laughing, laughing,
laughing! Jesus is Lord! Amen! Praise the Lord!

Federal Polytechnic Auchi and we are here tonight to shed light on what God has
done in our life because far back in school something happened to us and God
has been telling me, although I've done what is required of me to do in school,
but God has been telling me, "My son, you must come out in a large
congregation like this and tell them what happened to you because I know in a
place like this some of our parents, our co-students are involved in these
things. So, as I was about doing that, my co-ordinator, who traveled to Lagos
this evening to deliver some letters just came in and I cannot do anything
without his consent. But before I do that, something happened in school during
that period, of which I beg of everybody here to please just let me give you
the song because the song made me today. I've started fearing God. The fear I
have for God now has tripled because of that song. Praise the Lord! (Alleluia!)
A great man of God on that very fateful day, students were renouncing. Few of
them came out but a great man of God who was there came out and started
praying. After praying he told the students who did not want to come out that
if I sing this song, all of you here present will come out..... We were looking
at him. We thought he was joking. And believe it when the man of God started
ministering with the song, students that came out that day was about 250!
Praise the Lord! So I stand here tonight before you to please let me sing the
song for you and please I want the choir….quickly, quickly please…Just
continue…You sing. It doesn't have to be melodious -just sing quickly His Name
is higher above other names….
I'm seeking your
indulgence. We want to thank God for this great move because it is a great move
of God. You see what has happened now in fact has not happened before. You see
it was God that used Uncle Sege, that is the President of the Federal Republic
of Nigeria, President Olusegun Obasanjo to blow this wind of change that has
come to settle in all tertiary institutions in Nigeria. I am happy to say today
that in my State, Edo State for example, in Uniben, in Ambrose Alli University,
in Auchi Polytechnic more than 3000 students have come to renounce their
various cults! Praise the Lord! It is the beginning of the beginning because
cultism is a farce! Cultism has now become a thing of the past! We stand out
here as members of ACOL to continue with the fight, with the struggle against
cultism. I want to use this opportunity to ask Papa, I want to use this
opportunity to ask the church to continue to intercede for us. What we need now
is prayer because we want to totally eliminate cultism from all tertiary
institutions in Nigeria! Praise the Lord!
Pray for us, the battle
has started but our victory is certain. The Bible says, we are more than
conquerors through him that loved us. How many winners are here tonight? Let's
stand on our feet. Let's give God one more shout of Alleluia! (Alleluia!)
What a glorious night! I
know your children will never be average again. (Amen!) I know from now on we
will be number one. (Amen!) Glory be to Your Holy Name Lord! As Your children
are going Lord go with them (Amen!) Bless them. (Amen!) Prosper them. (Amen!)
