LET GOD ARISE 5th of June, 2009

I want to share with you the greatest secret of David, why no enemy ever succeeded over him, why he rose from nothing to becoming the greatest King in Israel.  Why even the Lord Jesus Christ is called the son of David. 

You will find it in Psalm 18 v 1-3, he said: "I will love thee, oh! LORD my strength. The LORD is my rock, and my fortress and my deliverer; my God, my strength in whom I will trust; my bucker, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from my enemies."

He kept on calling God by some very special names; my LORD, my strength, my rock, my glory,  my fortress, my deliverer, my trust, my buckler, the horn of my salvation, my high tower. 

He knew how to speak to God, until God will be compelled to say I must do something for this boy.

 I want you to do that now for just about five minutes. Whatever you think God is to you, tell  Him, my LORD , my saviour, my healer, my provider, the lover of my soul, my King, my teacher, my help, my supporter, my deliverer, my hope, you are all in all to me.

 There is no body like you; in my Life, you are the greatest, in my life, you are the best, in my life, oh LORD! You are my LORD. You are the one I trust. You are my horn of salvation, you are my rock and I will lift you high, I will praise you, I will lift you high, I will adore you, I will magnify your name. 

Because I have no one else but you, you are my friend, you are my supporter, you are my back bone, you are my hope, and you are the pillar that holds my life. 

You are the reason why I am happy, wherever I am today is because of you and I will continue to tell the world that you are greater than the greatest, that you better than the best, that you are stronger, than the strongest, that you are richer than the richest, that you are wiser than the wisest, that you are older than the oldest. 

I will tell the world that:  you are Lamb of God, you are Word of God, you are the Way, you are the Truth, you are the Resurrection, you are the Light, I will tell the whole world that:  you are Wonderful, that you are Kind, that you are Loving, that you are Faithful, that you are gentle.

 I will tell the world; that you are reliable, I will tell the world that you can never fail, that you can never lie, that you can never disappoint. I will tell the whole world that there is no Father like you, that there is no friend like you, that you are the only one who can go with me through the valley of the shadow of death, that you are the only one who can walk through deep  waters  with me, that you are the only one who can be with me even in fire, I will tell the whole world that you are with me, I will tell the whole world that you always speak the truth because you are the Truth. 

I will tell the whole world that you have never lied before, that you have never failed before, that you have never disappointed before.

You are the Rock of Ages, you are the Ancient of Days, I will tell the world, that you have no beginning, that you have no ending, I will tell the world, that you are the richest, that the earth is yours, that the fullness thereof is yours, I will let them know that silver is yours, gold is yours, that cattle upon a thousand hills are yours 

I will tell the world that you made all things, that in the beginning, you are the word and you had  always be there and I can always rely on you, I will praise you, I will adore you, I will magnify your name, just go ahead and tell Him, open your mouth…

… In Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

There is something we have not done for a long time, I feel the spirit leading me that we should do it tonight, I want you to think of your own song, I will think of my own, you will sing your own song to Him, I will sing my own to Him, we will combine it and it will be one big noise to the Almighty, begin to sing your song to the Almighty….

… In Jesus mighty name we worship.

Thank you Daddy, the LORD said there is someone here tonight; He said the plan to reduce you to nothing shall fail.

The LORD said there is someone here tonight; He said not only will I expose your enemy, He said everything they have taken form you I will restore.

The LORD said there is someone here tonight; He said very soon, you will shout for victory.

The LORD said there is someone here tonight; He said some recent happenings have shut your mouth, He asked me to tell you, your voice will soon be heard again loud and clear.

Hallelujah! The LORD said there is someone here tonight; He said, very soon, your song will be; how great is my God!

Daddy asked me to tell you, He said because you praise Him tonight, He is given you an opportunity to ask for three things. So go ahead and ask Him for three major things…

… So shall it be in Jesus name.

 Everything you have asked for receive it now in Jesus name.

 This night will be a night you will never forgot in Jesus name, your joy has just started in Jesus name. So shall it be in Jesus name we have prayed.

Put your hands together for the Almighty God.

 Praise Him, thank you Jesus, glory be to your holy name, glory be to your holy name. Thank you Jesus, Thank you LORD. Thank you Jesus, blessed be your holy name, in Jesus mighty name we worship. 

I want you to pray only one prayer tonight , tonight, lift your voice  to the LORD and say father , in this month please give me a pleasant surprise. Let's talk to the Almighty God… in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

Now I want you to please pray for Nigeria; say father, in this country give us a new beginning. A new beginning of progress, of success, of prosperity, of stability, of Joy, give us a new beginning in this new level of prosperity…

…In Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

Now let's go before our maker, the Almighty God, let's join the host of heaven as we worship the LORD.

Angels are singing, you are worthy oh LORD.

Eternal rock of ages we want to worship you tonight, King of glory, the LORD, the LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle, the unchangeable changer, the beginning of all things, the end of everything, glory be to your holy name.

We thank you because we know you are greater than the greatest, you are better than the best. You are older than the oldest. You are wiser than the wisest, glory be to your holy name. Accept our worship in Jesus name.

Tonight, in the lives of everybody here, do something new, do something powerful, do something glorious, save souls tonight, heal tonight, deliver tonight, set free tonight, glorify your name tonight, do more than we dare hope for tonight. 

At the end of everything tonight, let your name and your name alone be glorified. Thank you Daddy, glory be to your holy name, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed. Amen.

Shake hands with someone and say joy to the wise; that means joy to me, because I refuse to be a fool. You then put your hands together for the Almighty God and you may please be seated.

For those who are born in the month of June please stand and let me hear you shout hallelujah!

Father I want to commit all your children born in the month of June into your hands. I thank you on their behalf; that you are bringing them to another year in their lives.

 On their behalf, LORD, accept our thanks in Jesus name. As there are beginning a new milestone in their lives, send help to them. Prosper them, defend them. Fight their battles for them, in all areas of their lives. Let it be well with them, in their new year, let it be better than the old, in this their new year let them serve you more than before. In Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

Children of June congratulations! God will keep on blessing you.

Next month by the grace of God we are having the disciple's convention beginning from the 1st Thursday to 1st Saturday of July and the theme which is also the theme for the Holy Ghost service is "BORN TO BE A BLESSING".

I am born to be a blessing not a curse, and I am born to be a blessing to my family, a blessing to my town, a blessing to my country, and a blessing to the kingdom of God. 

BORN TO BE A BLESSING!  That is next month which will be an extremely glorious month in Jesus name.

I want to thank God for all those who had already ministered tonight, they all did very well, and they did better than the last time. From the beginning to the end all the preachers did well. The various choirs also tried but then as you know we have this kind of meeting  once in a  while so that you  can perfect  things, it is my duty as your coach to point out areas, where things would have been better. I have already been saying you all did well and I thought you would at least give yourself a round of applause.

The first zone, they sang choruses only, they didn't give us any song, any hymn after that, I think they need to take note of that for next time. The preaching was good, very powerful, and very beneficial but there wasn't enough time for people to pray, we need to pray in what we hear.

Second zone, they started with a hymn, then they moved to choruses and came back to hymn. I don't know exactly what is going on here. If you want to start with choruses, start with choruses and then end with hymn and in any case one hymn would have been enough for the time slot that you have. The preaching was good and very beneficial, and everything was within time.

Third zone, the choir was super, they carried all of us in their choruses, even though we might not know the wordings of the song, we were dancing along with them and then the song they sang was very touching, even though we don't know the meaning. The preaching was good and timing was okay, again they didn't give us enough time or people to pray. 

The last zone, the choir did well, but the first song has too much pepper in it. I have said before that there are songs you sing in a concert, which you don't sing in an outreach or a crusade. In a concert, people are seating down, relaxed, they just more or less want to be entertained. In an outreach, in a crusade like this one, the people want to be involved in everything that is going on. They prefer songs that either they know it or they can easily fit into it. So why the song is very good, it might not be too appropriate for the occasion. 

The preaching was good, beneficial, timing is okay but there wasn't enough time again for the people to pray.

Now for all of us, all the preachers in an attempt to cover so much ground within your limited time, you didn't give enough time for the interpreter. And you did not repeat your bible passage.

 We need… (People shouting in agreement) you can see for yourself, the people are saying you didn't give them enough time to write down those bible passages. We need time to write down the bible passages. Because it doesn't matter what you say, the most important thing is the word of God… for ever oh LORD, the word is settled in heaven.

 But having said all these; I want all those who preached tonight to know that I am very proud of you. You did very, very well. You make me feel comfortable; that I have people I can hand over to if the time is ready for me to depart. I am not going yet. When I am ready I will give you a hint.

Judges 15 v 9 – 15 "Then the Philistines went up and pitched in Judah, and spread themselves in Lehi. And the men of Judah said, why have you come up against us? And they answered, to bind Samson are we come up, to do to him as he hath done to us. Then three thousand men of Judah went to the top of the rock Etam, and said to Samson, Knowest thou not that the Philistines are rulers over us? What is this that thou hast done unto us? And he said unto them, as they did unto me, so have I done unto them. And they said unto him we have come down to bind thee that we may deliver thee into the hand of the Philistines. And Samson said unto them, Swear unto me that you will not fall upon me yourselves. And they spake unto him, saying, No; but we will bind thee fast and deliver thee into their hand: but surely we will not kill thee. And they bind him with two new cords and brought him up from the rock. And when he came unto Lehi, the Philistines shouted against him: and the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and the cords that were upon his arms become as flax that was burnt with fire, and his bands loosed from off his hands. And he found a new jaw bone of an ass, and put forth his hand and took it and slew a thousand men therewith."

I want you to shake hands with the fellow next to you and say get ready for a new beginning and then put those hands together for God. 

That is not part of the preaching, it is just something from the LORD...

The story we have just read is about Samson, after the Philistines, had cheated and he fought back and then he went to hide himself on a rock and his relatives came to him, and they said we have come to bind you and to hand you over to the enemy.

And they bound him, brought him back from the rock, and handed him over to the enemy.

Then the enemies began to rejoice and God heard the rejoicing of the enemies and He arose. And when He arose, things began to happen. God is about to arise for someone tonight. Because of the numerous sermons you have already heard tonight and because time had already gone, I will be brief.

The first thing we see in this story is that usually the biggest enemy is the enemy within. It is the relatives of Samson that bound him, not the enemies without, it is the enemy within. The elders will say; If the enemy within does not kill you, the enemies without will not be able to kill you.

But I have good news for you tonight, both the enemies within and the enemies without, God will take care of them tonight, the LORD said in Matthew 10v36, He said  a man's foes will be people o his own household. The enemies within bound Samson and handed him over to the enemy without.

Almost invariably, there are people within you, who are only too ready to hand you over to the enemies without. But if God is for you, then there is nobody who can be against you.

In Genesis 37 v 28 The Bible says the brothers of Joseph saw him coming and they say, oh! Behold the dreamer comes, let us kill him and see what will become of his dreams. 

Well they didn't succeed in killing him, because God was with him, yet they sold him to the enemies, but all they did was to help him to reach his destiny. All those who are trying to kill your dreams, they are going to be disappointed, because the dreams that God has given you, they will all come to pass. 

When they were bringing Samson from the mountain, God was silent, he was looking at them and just smiling, he is asking them to do whatever they want to do first; because God has his time table.

There are some of us who are here today, we have been praying and we haven't gotten an answer yet, but I believe God, that you will get the answer tonight.

 In Psalm 2 v 1-5 The Bible tells us that the heathens may be raging, they might be making their own plans concerning the anointed of God, we will do this to him, we will do that to him, and the Bible says He that seats in the heaven shall laugh.

 I have a rough idea why God choose the theme, "LET GOD ARISE" for this particular month, is that He is about to laugh at your enemies.

 In Psalm 115 v 1-3 The Bible tell us that when people are beginning to ask, where is your God? It is then that God will say, I am here, I am still seating in my heaven doing whatsoever pleases me. 

I want to encourage somebody here today, I know God may be silent, it may appear as if you haven't heard anything from him, but I want you to be sure of one thing, God is not dead, God is not asleep, God has not travelled, right now, He is in the heavens and He is waiting for a particular moment tonight, to arise for you, if you are the one I am speaking to, let me hear you say Amen loud and clear.

Almost three times tonight, one preacher after the other had read Psalm 102 v 13 and they didn't know it is in my note because I didn't show them my note.

But Psalm 102 v 13 says: "Thou shall arise and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea the said time has come"

I am sure, that there are at least three of us here tonight, myself, my wife and at least one fellow, I have the confident that the time to favor us has come. 

The LORD says there is someone here; He says the regular tragedies among the men in your family, come to an end tonight.

The LORD says that there is someone here, you may not know it, but there is an age old curse that says the people in your family must always beg for help. The LORD asked me to tell you, that curse is broken now.

Thank you Daddy, the LORD said there is someone here tonight, He says things have been particularly difficult since the beginning of this year, He asked me to tell you, the siege is over.

The LORD says there is someone here tonight; He said the door I promised you is opened at last.

So they brought Samson down, bound by enemies within, handed over to enemies without and the enemies began to rejoice. It is wrong for anybody to rejoice over me, when I am not yet dead.

So those who are rejoicing over you, when you are not yet dead, they are rejoicing prematurely, because Micah 7 v 8 says "rejoice not against me o my enemy: when I fall I shall arise". Tell your neighbor, I am going to arise you know! 

You cannot bury a man who is not yet dead. As long as you are still breathing there is still hope for you.

Ecclesiast 9 v 4 says to him that is joined to the all living there is hope. He said because a living dog is better than a dead lion.

I may be like an ordinary dog, I may be nobody, I may be a messenger now, nobody may know my name, but I am still living, so don't rejoice over me yet, because I know my tomorrow will be alright.

Tell your neighbor, whether the enemies like it or not, I am going to rise.

When an enemy begins to rejoice over you, it is a good sign, it is a good sign because it means God is about to arise for you, but God doesn't like enemies rejoicing over His children at all.

 You will remember very well, when the children of Israel were in Egypt and God sent Moses to go and bring them out. In Exodus 5v2 Pharaoh said, who is God, I don't know him, so I am not going to let Israel go.

God heard and smiled, by the time we got to Exodus 12 you can read it from beginning to verse 33, Pharaoh who said who is God? And why would I let Israel go, I won't let Israel go. The same Pharaoh, begged Israel to depart.

 I decree to someone here tonight, all those who have been holding you down, they will release you urgently tonight in Jesus name

In this story there is something I found very interesting, that is that God arose, but He arose just in time. When they were bringing Samson down from the mountain, he said nothing, he did nothing, he was watching as they were binding him, he did nothing he said nothing. Even when they brought him before the enemy, he sat down comfortably. In fact when they began to shout, he still wasn't doing anything, because he wanted to rejoice a little. But he arose just in time.

There are many of us who think God is late, he is never late. He is always on time and I am rejoicing with somebody here today, because you are going to have a new beginning.

 Psalm 46 v 1 says our God is the ever present help in trouble. Just when you think, even you don't do something now, I am done for, He will step in.

Isaiah 59 v 19 says that when the enemy tries to come in like a flood, the Spirit of God will raise up a standard against them, in other words, He is not going to allow the flood to swallow you. I know some of you who think maybe now you may not survive. I have good news for you; your testimony will be great.

You remember in the case of Sheldrake, Meshach and Abednego, when they were binding them, the LORD didn't say anything, when they were hitting the furnace, making it seven times better than normal, He didn't do anything, He was just watching, when they were carrying them to throw them into fire, He didn't say anything, but the moment they were about to land in the fire, He was there waiting. And I have good news for you; He is already waiting for you.

But then, God arose in time things began to happen. The Spirit of God rest upon Samson and the Spirit of God is going to come on someone tonight.

The ropes binding him were burnt as if it has caught fire and the weapon he needed to kill a thousand of his enemies have been strategically positioned by the Almighty God. 

In Isaiah 41v 11- 14, the Almighty God said there, He said I am going to help you  and He said it three times, He said by the time I finish helping you, He said you will search for your enemies you will not find them.

You see the passage that almost all the preachers have used, "LET GOD ARISE AND HIS ENEMIES BE SCATERED". It is written for you, why I know it is written for you is this; the only enemies that God have, are the enemies of His children.

Nobody is strong enough to fight with God and in any case the one you are going to fight is somebody you can see. You can't see God, you can't travel to where He is seated, and you don't even know His address. So when we talk of the enemies of God, we are talking about the enemies of the children of God and it says, whenever God arise; the enemies of God which are the enemies of the children of God they will all be scattered.

 Now in the case of Samson, some of them did not run fast enough, about a thousand were slow and those who are slow, they died, those who are wise they fled.

I have good news for you, the enemies that will not flee from you, you will attend their funerals.

 Let me say that one again, those enemies that will not run from you, even before the end of this month, you will attend their funerals. Because when God says, you will seek them and you will not find them, it means it is either they run away from you, or they have buried them so that you won't see them again. I am believing God for you tonight, before this day is out, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, you will be free and free indeed.

Probably the most important aspect of this story is the jaw bone, it is jaw bone, not the leg bone. What does that tells us? The jaw bone is the controller of the mouth. You may not have the jaw bone of an ass, but you have your own jaw bone. 

One of the preachers mentioned two keys by which you can cause God to arise. He said one is by prayer, he said the other by praise. He is correct, but the truth of the matter is this, when you pray God will send an angel to go and give you your miracle, it is when you praise Him, that you cause Him to stand. 

When you use your jaw bone, to praise God, you cause him to arise.

Before you are born again, you used to attend parties and you know how the musicians behave, you gather at the party and you are eating, drinking, seating beside the gutter somewhere in Lagos and you light mosquitoes killer and eating, drinking beer. 

The musicians comes round and they begin to collect your name and some little, little details, many at times, I am talking of Lagos in the olden days, things might have changed now; you go to theses party with a borrowed dress, so that you will appear big, all your salary is in your pocket.

Now the time come and the musicians begin to sing and they begin to take you one by one, they mentioned your name, and they begin to call you things that it is not even yours. So they begin to call you managing director, when you are a messenger; when you have no job, they call you emergency contractor, and so on. And as they begin to call you names, things that you are not, your head will begin to swell. 

And then you get up, now as you get up, something deep within you begins to warn you, where are you going? I am going to spray the musician that is the only money you have, you borrowed the money. But the musicians keep on calling you and you tell the voice shut up, when we get home we will sought that out. So you came to the party with all your salary, you go home with nothing. Now that is you!

But God is everything you can call Him and much, much more, so when you begin to call Him; King of kings, LORD of lords, I AM that I AM, Ancient of Days, Lion of the Tribe of Judah, Holy one of Israel, Unchangeable Changer, the Almighty, the Most High, the Greatest, the Best, the Strongest, the Wisest, and He will seat down in the heavens and will look at the angels,

 Because all that the angels knows is holy, holy, holy, the Lord God Almighty, the earth is full of your glory, that is all, then God hears from redemption camp, voices rises up to Him saying, you are the Truth, you are the Way, you are the Resurrection, you are the Life, you are one who never lost a battle, you are the LORD, Strong and Mighty in battle, you are the LORD of Host, you are the King of Glory, you are the Great Physician, you are the Great Provider, you are the Great  Healer.

 He gets up from His throne and says, I must pay these people a visit and the angels will say where are you going LORD? He will say I am going to visit Adeboye tonight, there is somebody here calling me, calling me by my names, there is somebody here who knows me, who knows what I want, I want to pay him a visit.. And when He gets up, the earth begins to tremble. When He takes the right leg, the earth shakes to the right, when he takes another leg to the left, the earth begins to shake to the left.

 By the time He arrives, there will be an earthquake prison doors will be forced opens, yoke will begin to break, jailers will begin to bow down, those who are holding you captives will become your servant, is there anybody here tonight, who is ready to praise the Almighty God, let me first of all hear you shout hallelujah.

We are going to spend some time praising Him tonight, but before we do that one, let us be fair, to all those who don't know Him yet, because God wants to do something tonight which He has not done before, and those who are not born again you can't have part in it, unless you come and surrender your life to him.

 If you say you are praising Him when we are praising Him and you are not yet born again; His word says the sacrifices of the wicked is an abomination to God, in other words if you want to praise Him when you are not yet born again , but if you will give your life to Him tonight, His blood will wash away your sins, you will become a member of the family of God and your praise will become acceptable to Him, so if you have not given your life to Jesus, I will give you some minute to come forward and give your life to him…

I want to thank you for your word, thank you because the time has come that you want to set your children free, thank you because the time has come that you want to favor us, please accept our thanks in Jesus name.

I am thanking you for these your children who have come forward tonight, receive them in Jesus name, and forgive them in Jesus name. Let your blood wipe away all their sins in Jesus name, save their souls tonight in Jesus name, write their names in the book of life and anytime they call on you from now, please answer them in Jesus name, thank you Father, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.
