Almighty God, Jehovah El-shaddai; the One who is greater than the greatest, higher than the highest, stronger than the strongest, richer than the richest, holier than the holiest, older than the oldest, wiser than the wisest, glory be to Your holy name. Thank You for what You did yesterday, thank You for what You are going to do right now. Thank You. Glory be to Your holy name. All we are asking is that tonight You will prove Yourself. Show the world that truly You are the Lord of host. In the lives of all those who are here and all those who are watching all over the world, prove Yourself tonight; put a new song in our mouth. By the time we leave here in the morning my Father and my God, let everyone of us sing the song of victory. Thank You my Father and my God; Glory be to Your holy name. And open your Bible to Exodus 15, I will read only verse 1 to 3; even though it should go all the way to verse 11. Well, let us read verse 1 to 3 (Exodus 15 verse 1 to 3): 1Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the Lord, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the Lord, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea. 2 The Lord is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt him. 3 The Lord is a man of war: the Lord is his name. Verse 11 would have led us singing another song: 11 Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? We are talking about Songs of Victory - two important words here: Songs and Victory. Song: when God created man, the original plan of God is that man will sing the praises of God. As a matter of fact everything God created, He created them to make music to Him. In Revelation chapter 4 verse 11, says, He has created all things that were created for His pleasure. He created everything to give Him pleasure. Birds are to sing. Even trees, according to the word of God, are to clap their hands. Isaiah 55 verse 12: one great man of God said that in Genesis chapter 1 verse 31, when God has created everything, He looked round there is nobody to praise Him, so, He decided He will praise Himself. He looked at everything and said well, if there is nobody to tell me, then I want to say: it is very good. You know the Igbos have a proverb; you know that headed lizard, when that lizard jumped down from an iroko tree, he nods his head three times and say, if nobody praises me I will praise myself. God created you to praise Him and that is why you find that man is a singing animal. So that by listening to the song that a man is singing constantly, you can tell what is going on in his life. When you hear a man singing: “we will overcome We will overcome We will overcome one day”
That fellow has just lost a battle. If somebody is in the midst of a tough battle; his song will change. You will hear him singing: “Let God arise and His enemies be scatter Let God arise and His enemies be scatter …………………………………………” You will know he is fighting. When somebody is having problem in the office and the boss is giving him tough time; his song is likely to be: “In Jesus name every knees must bow In Jesus name every knee must bow” So if you are boss and your worker is singing that song constantly, it is likely you need to check your relationship with him. When somebody has just won a victory, the song becomes different: “Now the battle is over Now the battle is over Now the battle is over I am more than a conqueror” How many of you want to sing that song tonight? In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, on your way home that is the song you will be singing. Now, Victory has been explained to you by the mighty men of God who spoke before me: to win, to overcome in a contest or war. The only thing is that in war (like I told you last month) there is no question of drawn game – it is either you win or you lose. You are either a victim or a victory. I thought I explained last month that when I was a boxer if you find a champion that you know you can defeat and he does not want to fight you, you will make him an offer: ‘You will say, let us fight, whatever money that comes in during the fight let the winner take it - We call it winner takes all. In war it is winner takes all. Goliath said, I am a Philistine; you are Israelis, send me your champion; let us fight and whoever wins takes over all of us. Now, as a child of God you need to know you have a determined enemy – he wants to take all: he wants to steal, he wants to kill, he wants to destroy. But thank God you have been told you have an Ally and that Ally is also determined. In John chapter 10 verse 10, the Bible says the thief cometh not but for to steal, to kill and to destroy; but Jesus said, I have come that you may have life and have it more abundantly. Your enemy the devil is well organized; he has an army that is well organized. According to Ephesians chapter 6 verse 12, the Bible says in his army he has principalities, powers, rulers of darkness of this world, spiritual wickedness in high places - He is highly organized. But the good news is your ally is far superior to him. In Psalm 24 verse 7 to 10, the Bible calls Him the Lord of host, the Commander of all the host – in heaven, on earth and underneath the earth.; even the devil himself have to take permission from Him as to how far he can go. So, I have good news for you today, by the time you are living here your victory will be settled. And so, I am not going to take too much time because the mere fact that you are here as already guaranteed your freedom in Jesus’ name. But I want to spend some few minutes to talk to you about the techniques of this your adversary the devil, so that when it is time to pray you will be able to pray correctly. Number One) When the devil wants to attack the time he loves most to attack is when you are celebrating. He knows when you are celebrating you relax, so, that is time he loves most to bring his attack. In 1Samuel 18 verse 5 to 11, the Bible says when David was returning from the conquest of Goliath and everybody was celebrating him that was when the devil arrange for an emergency choir and they began to sing his praise; and they said Saul has killed his thousands and David has killed his ten thousands. The Bible says from that day onward David was in trouble. In Joshua chapter 7, Joshua was rejoicing: haa, we have defeated Jericho, the great is falling Unknown to Joshua that very moment, Achan has stolen something God said should not be stolen and brought sin to the camp. The next attempt Joshua made to take a little city they met with defeat. In 2Kings chapter 2, you can read from verse 9 to 24 (2Kings chapter 2 verse 9 to 24), Elisha requested for double portion anointing of Elijah, he got it. Jordan parted for him; the sons of the prophets came to bow down before him; he started using his anointing to destroy the curse upon Jericho; he was glad that now I have power. Immediately, Satan arranged for some children to begin to mock this man… You know the story The point I am trying to make for you tonight is that whenever you have a celebration keep on praying. There is a song that says: Christian seeks not yet repose; hear your guardian angel saying, you are in the midst of foes; watch and pray. Thank God you have an Ally. Some of you will remember the story of a young man: He gained admission into a University in Britain and celebrated before he departed and while they were rejoicing an enemy of his father said: haa, the son of so and so is going abroad; by the time he returns he will buy a car for his father. He said I will give him something to carry along and he charmed the poor boy. The boy got to America and began to feel a terrible pain in his body. The Doctors examined everything, they said, boy you are normal. He said, I know I am in pain. To cut the long story short, he was there for six years, in pain for six years. Then he came back to Nigeria and he heard that we have a congress at Ibadan Grammar school and decided he must attend. The devil did everything to block his way. He arrived on the last day. Just as I was ministering and the power of God hit him and the pain disappeared and he began to shout: it is gone; it is gone. Tonight, if there is anything the enemy has planted in you, it will be gone tonight in Jesus’ name. Number two) When the devil wants to attack, when he wants to attack directly, he does it massively – not little bit by bit. In Exodus 14 from verse 5 to 28, the Bible tells us that when Pharaoh was coming against the children of Israel, he came with a mighty host – he came massively. But thank God, as massive as they were the Almighty God drowned them massively. In 2Chronicles chapter 20 verse 1 to 25, it took three combined king to attack Jehoshaphat. One of them would have been big enough but the devil brought three. Thank God that at the end of the day, they all lost their lives. You see, Almighty God made a promise in Isaiah 59 verse 19… Thank You Father. The Lord says there is someone here tonight that the Doctors have said to you that your system is dying steadily; the Lord asked me to tell you, I have turned that report of the Doctors. Isaiah 59 verse 19, the Bible says when the enemies shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will rise up a standard against them. He does not matter how many enemies may come against you now, not one of them will remain tomorrow morning. We held a programme in 1994 in Lagos at the Race Court; we call it the Battles of the gods. A man came to that meeting suffering from four killer diseases: He had hypertension; he was diabetics; he had meningitis; and then he had heart problem. The Doctors told him in the East, this is too much for us; you better go abroad. He was travelling abroad when he heard about the programmeand chooses to attend. In the single move of the most High God, God healed all the four diseases. I don’t know who God is talking to now; I don’t know how many sickness or disease that you may have; in the Name that is above every other name, not one of them will follow you out of here. Number three) At times the devil does not attack directly, he will attack in a subtle way. Ephesians chapter 6 verse 11 says you have to put on the whole armour of God to be able to withstand the wiles of the devil. So, at times when he wants to attack he will attack in a manner that it will be difficult for you to even fight. Many at times the one who is fighting you is somebody you don’t even know how to fight the fellow; he comes in like cancer and the Doctors will tell you if they are treating cancer, as they are killing the cancer they are killing you also. Thank God for the testimony of that young man; by the time the Doctor say you are in stage four, there is no hope but like I told you on Tuesday, Daddy told me He is not a Doctor, He is a Healer. The Doctors are wonderful people, wonderful mechanics but my Father is the Manufacturer – He can replace what has been damaged, He can give you spare parts and He will do that tonight. Now, when the devil discovered that he sent the lion against David, the boy killed the lion; he sent a bear, the boy killed the bear; he sent Goliath, the boy cut off his head. He decided, if I cannot fight him directly, let me use wisdom. And he raised up an enemy that is the father in-law. How do you fight your father in-law? When your father in-law is the one throwing the spear at you; how do you handle this case? Not only is he your father in-law, he was an anointed man of God? In 1Samuel 24 verse 1 to 6, David had an opportunity to kill Saul… Those with him said, haa, the day you have been waiting for has come – one blow and that will be the end. David said, how can I? He is not just my father in-law; he is an anointed man of God. As a matter of fact he cut just a little bit of the dress and the Bible said for doing that alone, he almost had a heart attack. What do you do if the one the devil is using against you is your pastor - If he is the one who brought you to Christ? How do you fight such battles? David told us in 1Samuel 25 verse 1 to 11, he says, I won’t raise my hand against him, God will do it Himself. I have good news for somebody hear today, if you are fighting a battle, if you are being attacked by somebody you cannot fight, God will fight the battles for you. Some of you will remember the case of a young man who was getting good reports in his place of work, never a query but all of a sudden they sacked him. And he came to the Holy Ghost and the word of God came and said, there is someone here in the following week somebody close to you is going to die, don’t mourn because he is the one standing in your way. The following week his father died. They recall him in his place of work and promoted him. Any relative blocking your way, if they don’t repent, I decree they won’t see the New Year. I don’t want to tell you other stories that you already know maybe. You know the case of the mother who will not allow the daughter to marry. And when she heard that she was going to die within a week, she came and decided to release the daughter. Anyone close to you who is the one blocking the way of your destiny, the Lord of host will deal with such a fellow. Number four) When the devil wants to fight at times, he will use a combination of forces. Thank You Father. The Lord asks me to tell somebody relax, He said, I already know what I AM going do. Oh thank You Father. I think I will say amen to this one before… You remember the story in the Bible, when Jesus had to walk on water to get to the disciples? I told you before when discussing that story that Jesus suspended the law of gravity for Him to be able to walk on water. After he helped the people He needed to help, the law came back into effect. Now, the Lord asks me to tell someone here tonight, He said, every law that must be suspended for you to receive your breakthrough will be suspended tonight. I was saying devil will use combine forces: internal enemies plus external enemies. You know the Bible says in Mathew chapter 10 verse 36… Haa, thank You Father The Lord says there is a family here that everything in the family is chaos right now; He asked me to tell you, beginning from tomorrow morning everything will begin to return normal. Daddy asks me to tell someone, (this is exactly how He says it)He said, leave them to me I will deal with all your falseaccuser. In Matthew 10:36, the Bible says a man’s foes will be they of his own household. And when you read Judges 15 from verse 1 to 19, it was the enemies of Samson within his own family – three thousand of them – who went to bind and then hand him over to the Philistines. You know the elders have a proverb; they say if the enemy within will not kill you, the enemy from outside will not be able to kill you. Three thousands family members handed him over to the external enemies! But thank God there is an anointing that can destroy yokes; that will cause the internal enemies to be disappointed and destroy the external enemies. I don’t know why God is leading us in this direction tonight. You see, many of us have been living with family enemies for too long and for our victory to be complete God has to deal with them. I know some of you will remember the story of a brother that will call Sam: Gave his life to Jesus; he was on fire for God and the mother happen to be the head of a secret cult. So, one day the boy gathered all the idols, charm, of the mother and destroys them. When the mother came she was furious and went to the cult and told them: he is my son, I cannot kill him myself, help me kill him. You know the story. So, mama stays away that night. Sam locked all doors, all windows and when he was about to sleep he decided to pray. As he kneel down to pray, a huge dog, totally black, covered from head to toes with charms came right through the door that was locked. But Sam was on his knees, when he saw the dog coming he shouted only one name. When he shouted Jesus, something like a thunder from heaven descended, hit the dog and killed it. The following morning the mother came expecting to see Sam dead and met Sam burning the dog. Every family member that is expecting you to die, from now on they will be frustrated. Every external enemy if they don’t run they will die also. Number five) … Thank You Father. I think this one is for me Because the Lord says there is someone here tonight, He said the time for Me to fulfill all My previous promises to you is now. Number five) One of the most sinister method of attack of the devil… Thank You Daddy. The Lord says there is someone here, He said, as you enter the new year you will steadily climb the hill of joy. Number five: If the devil tries direct attack and he fails; if hetries to come in quietly like cancer and he fails; if he combines internal enemies with external ones and he fails; then he tries to turn God Himself against you. And what do you do when the only Ally you have becomes an enemy? In Numbers 23… Haa, thank You Father. Amen and amen If you have writing something, write this one down. I know it is for me but it is for somebody else also. Because the Almighty God says, your greatness is about to begin. In Numbers 23 you can read from verse 1 to 23, a king hired a prophet to come and curse the nation of Israel. But as the Prophet will open his mouth instead of a curse, blessing kept coming. And he gave the reason why. He said, God had looked at these people there is no iniquity in them, there is no perverseness in them; He says, there is no curse, no enchantment that will work against them; no divination that can work against them because they are holy. Haa! the devil said, fine! If my technique cannot work because they are holy, then, let us encourage them to sin. I thank God for the message of Otabil of last night because some people now have been saying grace allows you to sin as much as you want - that is the devil talking. So, the Prophet went to the king and said this is what you should do: Invite these people to your parties and when they come let you daughter dressed scantily; let them expose what they should not expose; He said that is all; leave the rest. God Himself is the One who is defending them will destroy them. And so the king took the advice and said to the children of Israel we are friends no problem come to our celebrations. So, they came; they saw the girls; they said how now to the girls and the girls said, haa, you are welcome. So they began to fornicate. And the Almighty God who had been defending them against evil forces turned against them. Numbers 25 verse 1 to 9, when God turned against them, He sent a plague and the Bible said twenty four thousands of them died. If God is for you nobody can be against you except for yourself; but if God is against you then who is going to help. And one of the prayers you are going to pray tonight with all your heart is Lord God Almighty don’t let me be my own enemy. If God is defending you - if He is defending - He can take care of internal enemies; He can take care of external enemies; He can take care of any method the devil may want to use. That is why I keep on crying day and night; day and night - Be Holy! Be Holy! Be holy! As long as God is on your side you have nothing to fear. If God is against you, then you have a problem. Let me close so that we can have time to pray; tonight should not be a time for long sermon. There is something called the Final Victory. The Bible tells us that the last enemy to be destroyed is death. Your victory is not complete until you make it to heaven. Paul said in 2Timohty chapter 4 verse 7 to 8, he said I have finished well; I have fought a good fight; I have finished my course; I have kept the faith. Revelation chapter 15 verse 2 to 3 tells us of the Assembly of the Overcomers before the throne of God. He said they sang the song of Moses. The same song that we read as our text, they sang the song of Moses and the song of the Lamb. Our victory is only total, absolute, when we make it home. One of my sons was what we called Yoyo Christian: he’s hot today, he’s down tomorrow. Then he became sick; so sick that he was at the point of death; he was actually almost in a coma and then his wife came to call us and I went there. You could see that he was far gone but the wife shouted so he could hear: Daddy G.O is here! Daddy G.O is here! He opened his eyes, saw me and smiled. I saw he wanted to speak to me he has not got strength; so I held is hand and I bend close to him and he whispered: Daddy, I have made it. Haa! Tears were coming to my eyes but the wife was standing by so I kept back the tears. So, I just prayed for him, encouraged the wife and began to come home. In those days mobile phone was not as common as it is now; we used a land-line. By the time I was getting home the phone was ringing; it was the wife and said my husband is gone. I told her I am sorry, I knew it. And now, I was free to cry. I was crying for joy and sorrow. I was crying for joy that he made it and I am the one still left in the battle. The greatest victory; most important victory of all is to finish well. This year I have lost a couple of souls of my sons but I know they finish well. Death took them suddenly so I cannot negotiate. If only you could see them today they will be laughing and smiling saying we finished well. My prayer for somebody here today is that it does not matter what the devil may try, may you finish well. If you are sick and we pray and get healed; sooner or later you will soon die. Jesus raised Lazarus from the death but he still died. If you are poor and will pray for you and become rich, sooner or later you will still die. We came with nothing, we will go with nothing. If you are barren and we pray for you and you become fruitful, sooner or later you will die and you won’t even want to go with the children, you want to leave them behind. But if you finish well, if you end it well in Christ, then you will be the undefeated champion. In a moment we are going to pray. I thank God for the great ministration of Reverend Joe Olaiya; I thank God for all those who gave their live to Jesus. But even as I was coming when he finished, I still saw several people trouping in. So, if you were not here when he made that altar call or you were here you did not take him seriously but now you want to really surrender your life to Jesus; I will spare you two minutes - there may be only one or two of you; but the issue of heaven is too important for me to ignore. So, if there is anyone here and you are not sure of your salvation and you want to be sure; I will count from one to ten rapidly. You might be the only one, come and stand before me so that I can pray for your salvation before we begin to pray. I am counting now: One, two, Now, I won’t waste time because there may be nobody; so, if I get to ten and you are not standing before me then I know we are all settled. Three, And those of you in the old auditorium just go and stand at the altar; there are men of God there who will attend to you. Four, five, six, Am not talking about those who have already come tonight; I am talking about those of you who are just coming to surrender your live to Jesus now. Seven, eight, nine, Now, those of you who are on the way just keep coming and pray along those who are already in the front. Tell the Almighty Jesus Christ that you have come to surrender your life to Him. Ask Him to save your soul so that when you leave this world you will go to heaven not to hell. Ask Him to please forgive all your sins and wash you absolutely clean from all your sins. Promise Him you will serve Him from now on. Go ahead talk to the Almighty God. And please the rest of us let us stretch our hands towards this people, let us intercede for them that the One who saved our souls will save their souls too. Pray for them. Pray that the power in the blood of Jesus Christ will wipe away all their sins and their names will be written in the Book of Life today. Pray that they will become members of the family of God. Please pray for them for another one minute. Those of you who are still on the way you have to hurry up nowbecause I want to pray for salvation now. Thank You Father. In Jesus mighty name we have prayed. Saviour I just want to give You all glory and honour; thank You for Your word. As for these people who have come forward, please receive them; save their souls; wash them clean with Your blood; write their names in the Book of Life and let them do Your will from now on. In Jesus mighty name we have prayed. Amen. Now, I want to rejoice with those of you who have come forward because from now on I will be praying for you. So I am going to need your names, your address, and you prayer request. They will give you a card now which I want you to fill very quickly. As soon as you finish, give it back to the counselors and then go back to your seat. God bless you. We will wait for you before we continue. Thank You Father. In Jesus mighty name we have prayed. Amen. I want you to please stand on your feet, don’t go back yet. I want you to join hands together; your victory is not complete without mine. Because the Bible says you are to weep with those who weep. So you must pray for your neighbour; join your hands together and lift your voice to the Almighty God and say: Father, this Your child that I am holding, give him victory also. Go ahead talk to the Almighty - Pray for your neighbour. This Your child that I am holding Lord God Almighty give him victory also; give him victory also; complete and total victory; give him victory, give him victory; give this Your child victory O Lord. This Your child that I am holding, even has You are giving me victory today, give him victory also, give him victory also. Almighty God, give Your child victory also. Give him victory; total victory; complete victory; give him victory Almighty God; give him victory, give him victory today; in every area of his life give him victory; give him victory; give him victory Almighty. Give him absolute and complete victory. Give him victory Lord. In Jesus mighty name we have prayed. The Lord of host Himself will give you victory. In your body you will have victory. In your homes you will have victory. In your places of work you will have victory. Anyone trying to seat on your victory shall be uprooted. Any enemy that is pretending to be a friend shall be dealt with. The Almighty God will build a wall of fire around about you. In the presence of your enemy you will be promoted. From tonight onward you will walk in victory. And you will not offend God. It shall be well with you. In Jesus mighty name we have prayed. Amen. Praise the Lord.
