By: PASTOR E.A ADEBOYE Let us lift our hands to the most High God and begin to bless His holy name. Let us give Him glory; let us give Him honour; let us give Him adoration because He is great. He is worthy to be praised. Magnify His holy name. Worship the King of kings, the Lord of lords, the Ancient of days. He is great and greatly to be praised. He is worthy, worthy of our worship, worthy of our praise, worthy of adoration. Let us bless His holy name. Let us give Him glory, give Him honour, give Him adoration. Praise Him because He is worthy, He is worthy to be praise. Magnify His holy name because there is no one like Him. Praise Him. Thank Him for answered prayers. Give Him glory that we called on Him and He answered us. Let us give Him glory, give Him honour, give Him adoration for all He did for us in the month of June. Bless His holy name for answered prayers in January and February. Praise Him for the miracles of March and April. Give Him glory for His support and faithfulness in the month of May. And worship for Him for everything He has done for you since the beginning of the year – praise His holy name. Thank You my Father. You are worthy to be praise. In Jesus mighty name we have prayed. Brethren, because we want to pray some serious prayers, we want you to start by asking God to cover you in His blood. So, lift your voice to Him and say: Father, both myself and my family cover us in Your blood now. Open your mouth and cry to the Almighty. Myself, my family, those who are special to me Lord, cover us in Your blood right now, right now, right now Father. Your blood, Your blood that conquered Satan, cover me in Your blood; cover every member of my family in Your blood; cover my relatives in Your blood; cover my friends in Your blood; cover all those who are precious to me in Your blood; cover Your church in Your blood Lord; cover us in Your blood Father; cover us in Your blood Daddy. Thank You Father. In Jesus mighty name we have prayed. I want you to call on God with all your heart and say: Father, thank You for answered prayers, but we are not talking about king pin kidnappers alone, we are talking about every kidnapers in Nigeria, root them out. Every kidnapper in Nigeria root them out; not just a king pin, every kidnappers – small or big, in the entire nation, root them out, root them out Father; root them out in the month of July. Every kidnapper in Nigeria, big or small, wherever they may be, Father root them out; just uproot them Daddy; uproot everyone of them, everyone of them, everyone of them, root them out without a single exception; don’t let anyone of them escape; it is either the repent or You root them out Lord; root them out. Thank You Father. In Jesus mighty name we have prayed. We want to commit every society or cult that is shedding the blood of the innocent into the hand of God. So, lift your voice and say: Father, every society or cult shedding the blood of the innocent, send down Your fire and consume them. Go ahead lift your voice and cry to the Almighty God. Every society, every cult by whatever name they are called that are shedding innocent blood, wherever they may be, Father, send down Your fire; Almighty God send down Your fire to consume them. Every evil society, every cult that is shedding innocent blood, wherever they maybe, Father, send down Your fire and consume them. Whether it is in institution of learning or in the society as a whole, wherever they maybe, every society, every cult that is shedding innocent blood, wherever they maybe my Father and my God, send down Your fire and consume them. Thank You Father. In Jesus mighty name we have prayed. We want to commit into God’s hands people or organizations that are making life tough for the common man. I want you to lift your voice to the Almighty God and say: Father, every person or organization making life difficult for the common man, Father, expose them and dislodge them. Go ahead, lift your voice to the Almighty God and cry to God. Every person or organization making life difficult for the common man, Lord God Almighty, expose them and dislodge them; expose them and dislodge them. Please my Father and my God every person or organization making life difficult for the common man, O Lord God Almighty, wherever they maybe expose them and dislodge them. Thank You Father. Glory be to God. In Jesus mighty name we have prayed. Now, we want to pray, we want to rebuke the spirit of sudden death. We want to rebuke spirit of infirmities. We want to rebuke spirit called cancer. We want to rebuke the spirit called hypertension. Lift your voice to the Almighty God with all your heart and say: Father, Abba Father, we Your children today rebuke the spirit of death and of infirmities, of cancer, of hypertension, of stroke in the life of Your children. Open your mouth and cry to the Almighty God. Father, Abba Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, we Your people rebuke every spirit of sudden death, every spirit of infirmities, every spirit of cancer, every spirit of hypertension, every spirit of stroke. Almighty God, we Your children are in one accord tonight and we rebuke every evil spirit, every spirit of sudden death; every spirit of infirmities, of cancer, of heart disease, of stroke, of hypertension, of memory loss; every evil spirit tormenting children of God, we rebuke them tonight in the mighty name of Jesus. Thank You Father. In Jesus mighty name we have prayed. Now, this last prayer is optional; you do not need to pray it if does not apply to you. But there are some of us who are tired of suffering; some of us are tired of struggling and for such people let them lift up their voices to the Almighty God now and say: Father, open the door to my breakthrough tonight. Go ahead talk to the Almighty God. Father, I am tired of struggling, I am tired of suffering, I am tired of fruitless efforts, Almighty God, this very night, open the door to my breakthrough tonight. Thank You Father. Open the door Daddy that Your name might be glorified. Open the door; open the door; open the door. Thank You Father. In Jesus mighty name we have prayed. Now, finally please join hand together; you are going to pray for you neighbour now and say: Father, this my neighbour that I am holding, prosper him/prosper her. Go ahead talk to the Almighty God. This my neighbour because he is a child of God, a child of my Daddy, prosper him/prosper her, do it Daddy; do it Almighty God. Blessed be Your holy name. Thank You Father. You are the mighty God The great I AM Hallelujah Hallelujah Almighty God we want to bless Your holy name. King of kings and Lord of lords, the great Abba Father, blessed be Your holy name Lord. Thank You for all the testimonies we have already heard, please accept our worship in Jesus’ name. Tonight like never before visit Your children. Those who are here, those who are in the viewing centers all over the world: those who are watching on the internet; those who are watching by television, Father, visit them all in Jesus’ name. All the prayers that Your children have prayed, just as You answer the prayer of last month, answer the one of this month by fire also and glorify Your holy name. In Jesus mighty name we have prayed. Amen. Let somebody shout hallelujah. Shake hand with one or two and tell them God will surprise you tonight and then you may please be seated. Now, tonight, before we discuss our major point which is Abba Father Part 6 which is going to deal with our God being the God of prosperity. I want to spend some view minutes talking to those of you who are not yet born-again; so that you don’t miss what God want to do tonight. You see God is love: 1John chapter 4 verse 8 says God is love. And He loves you according to John chapter 3 verse 16: the Bible says, for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believe in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. He loves you because you are part of the world. It is because He loves you that is why you are either hear tonight or listening to me in the various viewing centres all over the world. I know He loves you. I know He loves you because in John chapter 6 verse 44, Jesus Christ says no man can come unto me except My Father draws him. You are here tonight because God is drawing you, drawing you, drawing you to salvation. Now, because He loves you, He is not going to prosper you why you still living in sin – He loves you more than that. If you are still living in sin, He is not going to prosper you because He loves you. You will say, ha ha, wait a minute! - He loves me! and yet He won’t prosper me if I am living in sin! O yes! You will say but there are many people out there in the world who are rich, wealthy and without Christ! Well, listen to Psalm 92 verse 7 and you will know why He will not prosper you while you are still living in sin. Psalm 92 verse 7: the Bible says, when the wicked spring forth as grass, when all workers of iniquity do flourish, it is that they shall be destroyed forever. If you are living in sin and you are flourishing and you are prospering, I pity you because you are like a ram for the slaughter. You see people of the other faith celebrating not too long ago and they buy rams days before the celebration and the children will begin to take care of the ram, washing it, feeding it and the ram will be wandering when did I became so important But you know the reason why, it is being prepared for the slaughter. When you see sinners flourishing, when you see people who are workers of iniquity prospering, the Bible says it is because their destruction is near. God loves you so much that He will not want to heal you when you are still living in sin. John chapter 5 verse 2 to 14 tells us that a man had been sick for thirty-eight years, then Jesus healed him but then told him I have done this for you on credit, go and sin no more or else something else will come upon you - something worse than thirty-eight years of sickness. What that passage is saying: is saying if you are sick and you do not want to say bye-bye to life of sin, it is better that you remain sick, manage that one than that you should be healed and continue in sin and get something worse than before. So, in Mark chapter 2 verse 1 to 12, when they brought a man who was paralyzed from neck downwards to Jesus Christ through the roof, the first thing He said was: He said to the fellow, okay, because of the demonstration of your faith, thy sins be forgiven thee, before He now said, get up, take your bed and go; He had to forgive him first before the healing. Sin must go first! Before prosperity, before you ask God to prosper you, you must let go a life of sin. Jeremiah 17 verse 11 says: as the partridge sits on egg and hatch them not, so he that get riches and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days and at his end shall be a fool. God is saying, the man who is getting rich and who is not a child of God, who has not forsaken the way of sin is a fool because he is going to die in the middle of his days. Proverbs chapter verse 32 says: the prosperity of fools will destroy them. God says if I prosper a fool, that fool is going for destruction. Now, the question is who is a fool? According to the definition of God, a fool according to Psalm 14 verse 1 - is the one who says there is no God. You will say, no, I never say there is no God. You may not say so with your mouth but you might be saying so with your action. A fool is someone who ignores heaven Luke 12 verse 16 to 21, it tells us the story of a man who prosper mightily but he forgot everything about heaven, God said to him you are a fool, you will die tonight. A fool is someone who says there is no God, who say there is no heaven or ignores heaven and so he says there will be no judgment. He is a rich man no regard for God, no regard for heaven, they call him Ajekuaye Baba You know what that means just enjoy and die; you just enjoy this world and die. He will be feeling big but they are telling him the truth, enjoy and perish. Whether you believe it or not, there is judgment when we leave this world. Hebrews 9:27 says, it is appointed unto man once to die and after that one judgment. So, if you want to become rich, you want to prosper why you are still in sin, is like you are telling God there is no God, there is no heaven, there is no judgment that everything ends here and that is not true. The reason sinners continue to toil with sin according to proverb 10 verse 23 is because they are fools. I believe you are not a fool. I believe you know there is God; I believe you know there is heaven; I believe you know that all does not end here; I believe you know there is judgment coming. I tell you a story and then I give you an opportunity to surrender you life to Jesus. True story! Some of you have heard it before. A man came to the church at the Headquarters several years. What was is problem? He swallowed a charm that it supposed to produce money. He reached an agreement with the herbalist: you swallow this charm, you will become stinkingly rich but you will die after seven years. And said, no problem, at least I will enjoy seven years. He swallowed the thing and no money came and whatever it is he swallowed began to bit from the inside and everyday they say happy new year, he knew the seven years will soon began. Few days he was to die, he came to the church, he heard the sermon, he surrendered his life to Jesus, we prayed for him, he vomited what he swallowed and then we all rejoice. He came to church for some weeks and we did not see him again, so we decided to follow-up By the time we got to him he said haa, they told me I swallowed the first on wrongly which means he had swallowed the second one now. And this time around, oh money came; I mean the devil brought the money. When the seven years was about to end, he had a brain way: he said the demons that suppose to kill me is in Nigeria; I will run to England, they won’t be able to catch me there. He died on the plane. I appeal to you tonight, because tonight is special night: the door of prosperity is going to open for some people tonight. But if you have not yet given your life to Jesus Christ, run forward now and come and surrender your life to Jesus; because if prosperity come to you while you are in sin, you are dawn fall. But if you come to Him, the blood of Jesus Christ will cleanse your sins, you will become the child of the Living God and then God will be free to prosper you. I am going to count from one to ten; if you want to give your life to Jesus Christ before I say ten, I want you to be standing before me and then I will pray for your salvation. I am counting now. One… And those of you who are watching at the various viewing centers go towards the altar now; there are men of God there who will attend to you for salvation. Two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine Thank you those of you who are clapping, God bless you; your hands will always prosper. Amen. Now, those of you who have come forward and those of you who are on the way, talk to the Jesus Christ now: ask Him to have mercy on you and save your soul; ask Him to wash away your sins with His blood; ask Him that you don’t want to prosper while in sin, you want your sins gone, ask Him to please save your souls tonight. Go ahead talk to the Almighty. Listen counselors, come over and attend to this people. The rest of us let us stretch our hands towards this people and intercede for them that the One who saved our souls will save their own souls also. Pray for them brethren. Pray that the Almighty God will wipe away their sins with His blood and make them true children of the Living God. Pray for them brethren. Thank You Father. In Jesus mighty name we have prayed. Saviour I just want to say thank You. Thank You for Your words and thank You for these people who have decided to say bye-bye to a life of sin and they have decided to come over to You, please receive them in Jesus’ name; let Your blood wash away their sins; save their souls; give them a brand new beginning; admit them into the family of God. Father, in every way possible prosper them also. As You write their names in the Book of Life, give them the grace to serve You till the end. Thank You my Father. In Jesus mighty name we have prayed. Amen. Now those of you who have come forward let me hear shout hallelujah. I rejoice with you; from now on I will be praying for you; so I am going to need your names, your address and your prayer request. The Counselors will give you a card which you should fill very quickly. Give me your name, your address and your prayer request and I promise you I will be praying for you. We will give you to two to three minutes to fill the card and wait for you before we continue. Congratulations Thank You Father. Now, I want you to stand on your feet and pray a prayer Just stretch your hands towards me and say: Father, just help Your son tonight. Go ahead, open your mouth; pray the prayer. Abba Father, help Your son tonight. Thank You my Father. Help me tonight. Thank You Father. In Jesus mighty name we have prayed. So shall it be in Jesus’ name. Thank you. Please be seated. Job chapter 36… The reason I asked you to pray for me is so that I will deliver the message for you accurately. There is nothing wrong with me but I want to make sure that what you hear tonight will change your live forever. Job chapter 36 verse 11 and 12: 11 “If they obey and serve Him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures. 12 But if they obey not, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge.” Pastors are at times classified into categories. Some are called Prosperity Preachers because they are always preaching about prosperity. Some are called Faith Preachers because they focus on faith. Some are called Grace Preachers because they focus on grace. Few, very few are called Holiness Preachers Which group do you think I belong to? Thank you. The reasons Pastors are categorized like this, it is because in that section they decided to focus on, at times they go to extreme. Prosperity Preachers preach prosperity in such a manner that at times they have to twist the word of God to fit their message. Faith Preachers at times do the same. Grace Preachers, Oh my God! There is nothing wrong with faith; without faith you cannot please God. I am a man of faith; I live by faith but I am not a faith preacher. It takes faith to come and live in this jungle with my family when it was headquarters of highway robbers and pythons - It takes faith. There are Grace Preachers who talk about grace to such an extent that it becomes ridiculous. I know that is by grace that we are saved. I know I am what I am today by the grace of God but I am not a grace preacher; because they preach Grace in such a manner that they say: once you are born-again you can keep on committing adultery and robbery that grace will still take you to heaven – that is a lie. I am a Holiness Preacher and I make no apology. Cut me to one thousand pieces; each piece will shout be holy. You say Oh you too, don’t you go to extreme with holiness. Extreme! All that the Angels are crying from eternity to eternity is what? Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty I am Holiness Preacher because I discovered that long ago that holiness is the master key. If you believe that let me hear you shout hallelujah. I know some of you have becoming a bit uncomfortable; wondering what is coming tonight. No, relax! Tonight, I am not a prosperity preacher that is what I am trying to say. I am going to talk about prosperity because Abba Father, my Dad and I hope your Dad is enormously wealthy – enormously wealthy. The first time He introduced Himself to human being in Genesis 17 verse 1: He said, I AM Jehovah El-Shaddai - the God who is more than enough. Oh, enormously wealthy! I was talking to some of my senior Pastors yesterday and I gave them a Proverb, the saying of the elders in Africa. I said it in Africa language before I translated it. It says, (and I am going to translate it to you later so let me just say it the way the elders say it.) Ajanakun ko bi rara, omo erin baabi erin lonjo. What does that mean in English? An Elephant will never produce a dwarf, any baby born by an Elephant is going to end up like an Elephant. Abba Father is enormously wealthy – like father like son. Lift your hand to the Almighty God and say, I refuse to die poor. I thank God for my son who gave the first lecture and you know him very well, he did an excellent job. Now, your Daddy is not just…, sorry, our Daddy let me put all of us; …our Daddy is not only enormously wealthy, I mean so wealthy that when they wanted to tie His own street, He tied it with gold. The street in heaven is gold. That which you say you are wearing as ornament now, they walk on it in heaven. The houses there are built with pure gold that is how wealthy He is. But He is not just wealthy, He is very generous. Because the next time we hear Him introducing us to another of His names in Genesis 22 - He calls Himself Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides. He is wealthy, He is generous, and there is absolutely no reason why a child of God must die poor. Psalm 35 verse 27 – God said or the word of God tells us, God had pleasure in the prosperity of His servant – He wants you to prosper. Don’t let anybody deceive you; that was why I started at the beginning, God help me tonight because I am going to section that I am not specialist in it. But it is true your Father is enormously wealthy; your Father is very generous; your Father has pleasure in your prosperity. I decree tonight to every one of you who are true children of my Father, you will not die poor. However, haven’t said that much let me quickly add that true prosperity is not limited to material wealth alone Because the moment we begin to talk about prosperity people will begin to talk about money and clothes and cars and houses – that is wealth; that is not necessarily true prosperity. True prosperity consist of several things, I will be only to mention five of them tonight because of time. Number one) True prosperity, it contains or includes Material wealth: Abba Father wants you rich. Why? Proverbs 22 verse 7 says the rich rules over the poor and the borrower is servant to the lender. God does want you to be the servant of any lender, He want you to be lender alone. I decree in the Name that is above every other name, God will help you clear your debt. The rich is the head; the borrower is the tail. Tell your neighbour I refuse to be tail. Because one thing you notice about tail is that you can take away the tail from any animal, the animal would die I refuse to be tail. How many of you would like to be head? In the Name that is above every other name, you will be the head. Reason number two why God want you to be rich, want you to be wealthy, it is because Ecclesiastes chapter 7 verse 12 says money is a defense – money is a defense; and you are destined to be secure; you are destined to be secure. Psalm 23 verse 5 tells us: thou prepareth a table before me in the presence of my enemy. Security is supposed to be your portion. Money can be a defense against several things including death. You say what! May be if you read your newspaper, you will heard about student in one of the Higher Institution of learning who felt sick and they took the child to a hospital and the Doctor asked for some money to be deposited; before the student could gather the money, the fellow died because they won’t attend to him because there is no money. He did not die because he was sick; he died because he was poor. Money is a defense. God wants you to be wealthy. I will give you just one more reason because of time …because it helps you to build His kingdom. Zachariah chapter 1 verse 17: He said, my cities shall yet be build and spread abroad – true prosperity. There are many of us who want to do mighty things for God, what is holding us back is money. Are my right? Years ago when we are at the first auditorium; when we come for convention like we are coming in August, we always task everybody coming: you must bring so much so that we can bring the money together to buy food for everybody. It got to a stage my people began to complain: we don’t have the money. You don’t have the money! How are we going to eat? And they were complaining, they were grumbling. And so one day, I said to them, I said, God who has made your father that I am feeding you spiritually, He will help so that I will be feeding you physically also. They all said amen. Eh en, that is what we want. After the program, I got into my prayer room and I was thanking Him for the programme and God spoke to me and said son: you want to be feeding the people physically? I said yes, one day. He said, when do you want that day to come? One of these days because I didn’t know He was listening. He said, tomorrow, tell these people that as from next year we won’t task you, come, you will be feed for free. Haa! Father! Who is going to do that? You now! I have no business, I am Pastor! Where will the money come from? So, when they came the following day, I say, Father, forgive me ooo; I have never disobeyed You but my faith cannot handle this one. I did not tell the people at all; I kept my mouth shut. The following month the people came for Holy Ghost service and God told me son, tell these people, from next year, we won’t task you; come and you will be fed for free. I said Lord, I can’t. Then He said, son, you are about to lose a miracle. I pray for all of you here tonight, you will never miss your miracle. And so I said, well, I know what I will do; I will tell the people, next year, will are going to try something, you are not going to bring anything because I calculated: if I sell my car and my wife’s car…; we are not very many then, probably about ten thousand people; …whenever will finish that money I will just tell the people God has answered your prayers, go home. I am an ordinary human being like yourself. So, I told the people, as from next year, next year we are going to try something, you won’t bring any money, my Father and I will feed you. That is more than thirty years ago, He has not failed yet. You said, Pastor how? How did He do it? He just kept on sending people. You never can tell you might be the one He would send for the next convention. Stand on your feet; lift your voice to the Almighty God and say: Father, everything I need to serve You give me abundantly, give me abundantly. Go ahead talk to the Almighty God. The money I need to serve You adequately give me abundantly; give me. I don’t want to die poor, there is Your work to be done; there is work to be done; I want to be able to sponsor the convention; I want to be able go to my Daddy-in-the-lord and say, Daddy, how much will it cost, just tell me. Everything I need to serve You adequately, give me O Lord; give me mightily, give me abundantly, give me more than I can even think possible. Thank You my Father. Thank You Saviour. Everything I need to serve You, to serve You adequately, give to me Lord, don’t let me lack, don’t let me lack, please Lord don’t let me lack. Wealth has no meaning without good health. You will say take your money and give me good health. In 2Kings chapter 5 for example; 2Kings chapter 5 verse 1 to 5, the Bible text tells us about Naaman – he was a successful man, he was a wealthy man but he was a leper. When he heard that there is an opportunity for him to be healed. Look at what he brought: He brought ten talents of silver, six thousand pieces of gold, ten changes of raiment; he came loaded to pay for healing. Ecclesiastes chapter 6 verse 2 tells us that if a man is wealthy and he cannot eat, it said, it is terrible disease. There are a lot of people who have money but they cannot eat. In Ecclesiastes chapter 5 verse 19 says if God give you wealth and then give you the power to eat from it, it said, it is a gift from God. It is a gift – you have the food and you have the stomach in which to eat. And you know what 1 Timothy 6 verse 17 says Abba Father wants to give you things that you can richly enjoy them. He does not just want to give you wealth, He wants to give you the ability to enjoy what He gives you. I know a friend of mine, gone now, who was one of the richest men in Nigeria. One of the richest men – I mean by the time he died far away Australia, he had $256million not to talk of closer home and yet the only food he can eat is milk; he cannot he pounded yam God have mercy. That is why I laugh when some people said they heard that Pastor Adeboye does not eat. I said me! Oh! Invite me to your house Prepare pounded yam; get plenty of bush meat; get combination okro soup and right in your sitting room, you will see the glory of God. Let somebody shout hallelujah. It may sound like a joke but it is a good thing to be able eat - that is part of prosperity. I told you the story of my friend that I visited and spend a night with him and it was breakfast time; he spent thirty minutes deciding on what he will eat for breakfast. Thirty minutes! I don’t want to start telling you to waste your time, you have heard about him before. When the cook finally finished with him…; and he was rich; haa, God have mercy; …the cook turned to me and said, sir, what do you want? I said, everything you have just put the thing on the table. How long does it take me to decide what I will eat? One minute I just tell my wife whatever you want give me, just make sure it is plenty. Stand on your feet; lift your voice to the Almighty God and say: Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, give me divine health so that I can enjoy my wealth. Go ahead, talk to the Almighty God. Give me divine health so that I can enjoy my wealth. What is the use of having money if you cannot enjoy it; what is the use of wealth when your stomach cannot take food? What kind of life is that? What kind of wealth is that? Give me divine health Lord, let me be healthy; let me be able to eat; let me be able to enjoy. Thank You Father. Don’t just make me rich Daddy, give me divine health so that I can enjoy it; give me divine health so that I can enjoy it. In the mighty name of Jesus, give me divine wealth in addition to wealth so that I can enjoy it; so that I can enjoy it. Thank You my Father. In Jesus mighty name we have prayed. So shall it be in Jesus’ name. Amen. Please be seated. I mean, I always have problem with people who tell you don’t eat this one, don’t eat that one… Leave me alone I can understand those of you who are young, if they say don’t eat this one, don’t eat that because very soon they will come round. There was a time they say, an apple a-day keeps the Doctor away. Now, they say that there is something under skin of the apple Sometimes they say don’t eat don’t touch egg, if you want to eat egg, eat only the white. Now they come round and say you can eat an egg a-day. Which one are we going to believe? In any case, those of you who are young you can obey them. If you are already seventy and over, eat anything you want. Do you want to live forever? Let somebody shout hallelujah. Thank You my Father. I think God is already answering your prayers. Daddy says, there is someone here tonight, He said, the Doctor said you have zero sperm count, He ask me to tell you, go for another test. Oh thank You Father. Daddy says there is someone here tonight, He asked me to tell you, I will reposition you. Prosperity includes Material wealth; it includes Health, so you can enjoy wealth and it includes peace of mind. Wealth is meaningless to someone who has no peace of mind. Wealth is meaningless to someone who is living in fear. 1John chapter 4 verse 18 says fear is a tormentor – fear torment. In 2Timothy chapter 1 verse 7 says, my Father does not give you the spirit of fear, He gives you the spirit of a sound mind. Wealth is meaningless to somebody who cannot sleep. Whether you believe it or not a lot of rich people cannot sleep: the bed is comfortable, some bed are water bed, electrically controlled - when they want it to be cold it will be cold; when they want it to be warm it will be warm; and yet they cannot sleep for two hours in one night. People like me I can sleep standing up O yes, I am telling you the truth. When I am praying, that is why I don’t stand on one stop otherwise I will fall asleep. You say, hey, you? I am telling you the truth. How many of you can sleep any time you want? Let me hear you shout hallelujah. Because Psalm 127 verse 2 says He gives His beloveth sleep. Sleep is a blessing I mean you see these people: messengers in offices, labourers have work from morning till evening, when they get home some of them don’t even have a bed, they will spread a mat, before they hit the ground they have sleep. What is the use of having money and you have no rest of mind. I knew a friend of mine who said that every time he closed his eyes he will be seeing dead bodies; so, he is afraid to sleep. Thank God when I close my eyes I see angels. Psalm 23 verses 1 and 2: says the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want; He maketh me to lie down in green pastures. Not only does He give me plenty of food to eat, He gives me sleep also. I told you about a man, I don’t want to…, you already know the fellow; … a man who had fourteen houses in Ibadan but could not sleep for one hour a-day. He asks me, Pastor, if you pray for me and I begin to sleep, I will give you the fourteen houses. I say, haa, keep your fourteen houses; I want to enjoy my sleep. I 1Samuel chapter 16 verse 14 to 23 – the Bible tells us that an evil spirit from the Lord troubled King Saul. He was a king but a demon was giving him trouble What is the use of his wealth as a king when demon won’t let him sleep? Whereas is John 14 verse 27, the Bible said, peace I give unto you; My peace I live with you. All of you who have been troubled up till this moment, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, receive peace now. In Philippians 4 verse 7 says, God will you the peace of God that passes all understanding. If you have wealth and you don’t have peace of mind, you are poor mind. A man who has peace of mind is prosperous man. If a man has problems, even when the food is there he won’t be able to eat. I told you the story of a relation of mine, an in-law. We went to preach to him, my wife and I and he called me, follow me He was the chairman of a very big company or MD of a very big company. In a very big mansion; money everywhere; took me round; these rooms full of freezers; this one roasted goats; that one roasted ram, that one roasted turkey; took me round the whole place. When we came back to the living room, he said in-law I said, Sir He said, you have Jesus, do you have all these? I said, no sir He said, go and talk to the poor; they are the ones who need it I said, yes sir. Some six month later, I came home from University, I was lecturing at the University of Lagos then and I saw my in-law or somebody that look like my in-law In-law! He said, yes it is me. What happen? Two of his workers – one typist and one accountant or the other, they form some check and ask him to sign; after he signed they forged the thing; took away 100million or some naira at the time when the naira was almost equal to the pound and they disappear. And the owner of the company said, this is your signature? He said yes Not only is it that they are looking for the money now, they want to throw him to jail. Trouble came and then he came to me and asks me to pray for him. I said, haa! in whose name? He said, in the name of Jesus. But you don’t need him. He said, that was then, this is now. We prayed; after he gave his life to Jesus, and then I ask him to go and eat part of the food on the table, he said, he could not eat pepper. Why? He said, he has stomach ulcer You don’t have peace of mind, you won’t be able to eat; it is only small part of prosperity, peace of mind must be included Father, don’t take away your peace away from me. O God don’t take away your peace away from me. I don’t want the kind of wealth that will take away Your peace away from me ; don’t take Your peace away from me; please Lord, don’t take Your peace away from me; don’t take Your peace for me; I don’t want the kind of money that will rob me of Your peace, don’t take Your peace away from me Lord God Almighty; don’t take Your peace away from me; I want Your peace, the peace of God that passes all understanding that is what I want, I want that peace Daddy; don’t take it away from me Daddy. Don’t take Your peace away from me; when I sleep, let me sleep in peace Daddy; when I wake up let me wake up in peace; when I go out let me go out in peace Lord; don’t take away Your peace from me; don’t take away Your peace from me please Lord; the peace of God that passeth all understanding let it rule my body, my spirit, don’t take away Your peace from me Lord. Thank You Father. In Jesus mighty name we have prayed. And so shall it be in Jesus’ name. Please be seated. True prosperity also includes Joy. Wealth has no meaning if there is no joy. Wealth is meaningless to somebody who is drowning in sorrow. Thank You Father. The Lord said there is someone here tonight, He said, you would soon join the club of the four runners. Haa! Thank You Father. Let me say amen to this before I tell you. Daddy says there is someone here tonight; He said very soon you will testify that I have more than I need. Proverbs chapter 10 verse 22 says it is the blessing of the Lord that maketh rich and added no sorrows. Why? Because sorrow is a killer Proverbs 15 verse 13 says the sorrow of heart breaks the spirit. Whereas Proverbs 17 verse 22 says a merry heart does good as a medicine whereas a broken spirit will dry bones. That is why in Philippians chapter 4 verse 4, the Bible says rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice, rejoice, rejoice in the Lord; rejoice in the Lord. He did not say rejoice in your cars; He did not say rejoice in the number of houses, He say rejoice in the Lord. True prosperity includes joy, peace of mind, good health. I told you the story before, one of the saddest stories you have ever heard me tell, of a wealthy woman who sent her son abroad to go and study. In those days they travel by boat, go by the ocean and the boy had gone for years; because when you sent somebody abroad, he stay abroad till they finish before they come back home. The boy has finished; graduated; and has he returned, the mother was there, gorgeously dress, waiting to receive the son after so many years. And the boy was coming down the grand way of the ship and saw the mother and mother was excited and son was excited; in the excitement the son fell into the ocean and they never saw his body. The sorrow so overwhelmed the woman… Peace in Jesus’ name. The sorrow so overwhelmed the woman that for the rest of her life she will wake up every day and go to the ocean with a little container in her hand bailing out the water of the Atlantic ocean And when they ask her what are you doing and she said, she was looking for her son. Stand on your feet; lift your voice to the Almighty God and say: Father, for the rest of my life don’t let me no sorrow. Go ahead cry to the Almighty God. Don’t let me know sorrow. The prosperity I am asking for is the prosperity that will include joy, don’t let me know sorrow; don’t let me know sorrow; don’t let me know sorrow Lord God Almighty; of what use is wealth if there is no joy, don’t let me know sorrow; don’t let me know sorrow; O Almighty God please help, don’t let me know sorrow; don’t let me know sorrow again; for the rest of my life don’t let me know sorrow again; don’t let me know sorrow again Daddy; please don’t let me know sorrow again; Almighty God don’t let me know sorrow again; for the rest of my life don’t let me know sorrow again; don’t let me know sorrow again; have mercy on me Lord, don’t let me know sorrow again; for the rest of my life don’t let me know sorrow again. Thank You Father. Thank You Father. Don’t let me know sorrow again. Hallelujah Father. In Jesus mighty name we have prayed. The Almighty God will keep sorrow far away from you. Please be seated. Number five) True prosperity must include Hope. Amen and amen The Lord says there is someone here tonight, He says your own will not be double grace but triple grace. If a man is rich and he has not got the hope of ending well, the wealth is even a curse. When a man is hopeless, when he has no hope of ending in heaven, of what use is wealth. Years ago we went to preach to a very wealthy man in a town in Osun State. After the preaching he said haa, my children…, we were younger, much younger than himself; …thank you for what you have said, the message you have brought. He said, take all my children to Jesus Christ. He said for me it is too late. I pray that it will not be too late for you. Ecclesiastes chapter 9 verse 4 says to him that is joined to all the living, there is hope. And then it says, a living dog is better than a dead lion. Even if a man is poor and he has hope that tomorrow will be alright – that is a glorious thing. Colossians chapter 1 verse 27 says Christ in you the hope of glory. I have been saying my tomorrow will be alright, my tomorrow will be alright years ago. My wife and I will be seating down, we will be eating, we will be struggling over Pomo (cow hide) and we will say that one is too thick you cannot eat alone let us cut into two. That tells you how tough things were then. But at the end, I will say don’t worry my darling tomorrow will be alright. How many of you believe that your tomorrow will be alright? Let me hear shout hallelujah. In John chapter 14 verse 1 to 3, Jesus said, let not your heart be troubled. If you a true child of Abba Father let not your heart be troubled – believe in God; believe also in Him – He said in my Father’s house there are many mansions. You see, if it were not so I will have told He said, I AM going to prepare a place for you; when I finish preparing I AM coming back for you. Every true child of God, everyone who can call God Daddy, there is hope for us – a glorious hope. In fact, 1Peter chapter 1 verse 3 says that God has through His abundant mercy begotten us again unto lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ - we have hope. 1John chapter 3 verse 1 to 3… Haa, again there is somebody who is (almost always we found them) saying God speak to me, speak to me; He has been speaking. Daddy says there is somebody in particular who has been saying You must speak to me tonight, You must speak to me tonight. He asked me to tell you, let there be light. 1John chapter 3 verse 1 to 3, the Bible says, beloveth, behold, what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us that we should be called the son of God And it on saying, one day we are going to be exactly like Jesus Christ – that is our blessed hope. One day is coming no one will be able to stop you when you want to pass through One day when the trumpet shall sound you will be able to travel right through the roof without any obstruction There is hope for us Anyone who is truly committed to Jesus Christ will have a glorious tomorrow. I don’t want you to be afraid. In the name that is above every other name, you are going to finish well. I heard a story, true story, God allowed me to hear at a time when I was concerned, I was concerned because I saw so many of my colleagues, people that we started this race together. People that we were always fasting and praying, going to camps together, seeking the face of the Lord – praying, asking God to use us for His glory; then we were very little. And then as soon as success came, many of them began to fall away. Work came, so no more fasting, no more praying and all manners of things began to happen. And I was a bit concerned about myself. Father, help me. Those of you who were here when I turned seventy, you would remember the prayer I asked you to pray for me, that I will finish well and finish strong. Then, I heard a story that settled the matter for me. Many of you have watched a film called ‘Ben Hur’. How many of you have not watched the film called Ben Hur? Hey, sorry ooo. May be I will try and see if I can get it, if I can get it, then, may be one evening during the convention, I will just show it to you. In the film, the main actor has to take part in a chariot race, you know chariot pulled by horses. He has to take part in a chariot race and win. So for weeks, they taught him how to ride a chariot. After several hours of learning how to ride, he came to the producer of the film, the director and said – I can ride a chariot now, but I am not sure I can win the race. The producer said to him, sir, you stay in the race, I will see to it that you win. Ahh, ahhh….I don’t know if you understand. Abba Father is saying to somebody here tonight, stay in the race; I will see to it that you win. Stand on your feet and lift your voice to the Almighty God and say, Father, my hope is in You, let me finish well. Open your mouth and cry to the Almighty God. My hope is in You, Lord, let me finish well. Let me finish well. My hope is in You, Lord, let me finish well. Let me finish well. By Your grace I will stay in the race, help me to win, help me to win, help me to win. Help me to win. My hope is in You, Lord, help me to win. Help me to win. Help me to win. My hope is in You, Almighty God, my hope is in You. Help me to win. Help me to win. Help me to finish well. Please Daddy, help me to finish well. Thank You Daddy. Glory be to Your Holy name. Help me to finish well. In Jesus mighty name we have prayed. And you will finish well in Jesus name. Please be seated. Conclusion We have discovered now that true prosperity includes wealth, and you are not going to die poor. Whatever method God wants to use, including transferring the wealth of sinners to you, you won’t die poor. It includes not just wealth but good health; and my Father will keep you healthy in Jesus name. It includes peace of mind; the Almighty God will not take His peace from you. It includes joy; and for the rest of your life you will not know sorrow. It includes hope; a hope of a better tomorrow, of finishing well; and you will finish well. Now, what does God the Father wants from you to get all round prosperity? The text I read to you, Job 36 verse 11…it says if you obey Him. What is the condition? Obey Him and serve Him. Then you will spend your days in prosperity and your years in pleasures. Obey Him and serve Him. I have told you again and again, nothing goes for nothing. He said I can give you wealth. Deuteronomy 28 if you read verses 1, 11 and 12; It said if you will hearken diligently to the voice of the Lord your God to observe and to do all His commandments, it said God will set you high on high above all nations. Verse 2 says and then blessings will be pursuing you and overtaking you. And then it went on to verse 11 and 12 and says God will so prosper you that you will be lending to nations. Obey Him, serve Him, He will make you enormously rich. Check all our forefathers in the faith. Abraham: He was very rich in gold, very rich in silver, rich in cattle, rich in flocks. If wealth is going to send somebody to hell, then Abraham will never get to heaven. But Abraham is in heaven. What about Isaac? He became so rich, a whole nation envied him. He’s in heaven. What about Jacob? He is so rich that the Bible says he was exceedingly great; and he’s in heaven. I am going to be in heaven too, and I am not going to die poor; but the condition is, you obey Him and serve Him. What about good health? Exodus 15 verse 26 – it said again, if you would hearken diligently to the voice of the Lord your God and will do what is right in His sight, you will give hear to His commandments, which is another word saying you obey Him, it said I won’t even allow sickness to come upon you. I will be the Lord that healeth thee. I will be your physician. Obey Him and serve Him. What about peace? In Isaiah 48 verse 18 - it said if only you will hearken to Me, if only you will do what I say, He said then your peace will be like a river. Obey Him, serve Him. He will make you rich, He will make you healthy, He will give you peace like a river. Psalm 32 verse 11, talking about joy now, Psalm 32 verse 11 - the Bible says be glad in the Lord and rejoice, ye righteous. Shout for joy, all ye upright in heart if you will obey Him and serve Him, you will constantly be shouting for joy. Ecclesiastes 2 verse 26 puts it in another way; Ecclesiastes 2 verse 26 it said God gives to a man that is good in His sight wisdom, knowledge and joy. Obey Him, serve Him, He would give you wisdom, He would give you knowledge, He would give you joy. What about hope? Hope that one day He will come back for you and take you to be with Him where He is, so that you will be like Him. Ah, obey Him. John 15 verse 14, says you are my friend if you do whatsoever I command you. Obey Him, serve Him. Obey Him, He is your Daddy. Obey Him, make Him happy and He will surprise you. Obey Him even when it is difficult for you, obey Him. Obey Him, He will meet all your needs, obey. But then it went on to say if you now refuse to obey, if you are a child that will be disobedient to his Father. They don’t just call me Abba Father, if you are not going to obey me, get away. Because He said if you won’t obey, destruction waits. I want you to pray one more prayer and then we will close, stand on your feet. And say: Father, give me the grace to obey and serve You; and then give me all round prosperity. Go ahead, talk to the Almighty God. Give me the grace from now on to obey You, to serve You, and then give me all round prosperity. I will obey You, I will serve You. Give me all round prosperity. Thank You Father. Give me the grace from now on to serve You, to obey You in all things. Whatever You ask me to do, give me the grace to do it. Give me the grace to win souls for You. Give me the grace to follow up converts for You. Give me the grace Lord to build churches for You. Give me grace Lord God Almighty to serve You, to do Your work. Anytime I hear there is work of God to be done, let me become excited. Give me the grace Lord to obey You, to serve You and then give me all round prosperity. Thank You Father. In Jesus mighty name we have prayed. So shall it be in Jesus name. Very soon I will be praying for you, at that time I will be praying for the disciples who are having their convention this weekend. But I want to do the praying together as we round up, and at that time I am going to ask you to ask God for whatever you want.
