The Bible says there were several kings in Israel but up till today if you ask a Jew, he will tell you the greatest king they ever had was David.

David was shepherd boy, but even Bartimaeus called him the father of the King of kings.

What is it that makes David so special?

What make is greatness so unforgettable?

It is because he said I will bless the Lord at all times, His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

There is somebody here today who is destined for greatness, the kind of greatness they have never seen in your family, the kind of the greatness that is one of a kind in a generation, and that fellow will show it by the way he or she will praise the Lord.

So, go ahead and show the Almighty God that you will bless Him at all times, you will magnify His name all the days of your life; you will show that you appreciate Him.

Open your mouth and praise Him.

Praise the King of kings, praise the Lord of lords, magnify His holy name, worship Him, worship Him.

He is the author of greatness.

Praise Him like you have never done.

Magnify His holy name.

Thank You Daddy.

Thank You Jesus.

Take all the glory Lord.

Thank You Father.

King of kings, Lord of lords, the Ancient of days, the Unchangeable changer, the Alpha, the Omega, the Beginning and the Ending, the Lion of the Tribe of Juday, the Holy One of Israel, our Father, our Maker, our Origin, our End, glory be to Your holy name.

Thank You for January, thank You for February, thank you for March, thank You for April, thank You for May, and now thank You for June, glory be to Your holy name Lord; please accept our worship in Jesus’ name.

Thank You for what you are already done tonight, thank You for what You will yet do, please accept our worship in Jesus’ name. All we asking tonight is that You just glorify Your holy name in any way You want to glory Your name.

In Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

Amen.

Let someone shout hallelujah.

I want you to shake hand with one or two people and tell him or her: brother, sister, I have a rough idea that you are going to be great.

Go ahead tell two or three people.

And then I want you to turn to two or three other people and prophesied with all your heart and say: brother or sister, I have the assurance I am going to be great.

Now, if you believe that put your hands together for the Almighty God and then you may please be seated.

Tonight, I will just talk briefly on Destined for Greatness (Part II), subtitled: The Power of Destiny.

Psalm 33 verse 11 says the counsel of God stands forever.

Destiny is an extremely powerful force because it comes from that God who once He speaks it is done.

Destiny is far far more powerful than death; and I thank God for the testimonies we have heard tonight.

I thought everybody would have been on their feet jumping and clapping when that lady was giving a testimony of a child that died three times, and God brought her back to life again, and again, and again.

That child is destined for greatness! And the devil tried to see if the baby can be killed.

There was a word already on the life of the child because God said there was a woman here, no more miscarriage.

No more miscarriage! The devil said alright, if there is not going to be miscarriage, I can kill the child as soon as the child was born.

And there is a God who is far far beyond death; more powerful than death.

You will notice when Jesus Christ raised people from the dead, He never mentioned the word death – Lazarus come forth

He did not say death released Lazarus; He ignored death.

When you go through the scriptures in the case of Peter for example in Matthew 16 verse 13 to 19 , which we discussed during the Holy Communion service yesterday.

God showed Peter you are destined to lead the church.

When you now jumped to Acts of Apostle 12 verse 1 to 11, the Bible says Herod killed James, one of the Apostles,

But the night before he will bring forth Peter to kill him an angel stepped him.

You cannot kill somebody that God says he is going to be the leader of My church.

If you look at the case of Joseph, the brother said here comes the dreamer, let us kill him and see what will become of his dream –

Genesis chapter 37 verse 18 to 24, if you read it, they decided finally to throw him into a pit, and the pit has no water in it.

Bible scholars said what happened was that before Joseph got to the bottom of the pit the water dried up.

You consider the case of Daniel in Daniel chapter 6 from verse 1 to the end.

God has made up His mind that Daniel is going to be number one man in the state and the enemy said okay we will throw him into the den of lion and seal it up, b

But destiny was there to make sure this man won’t die; it was those who threw him into the den of lion, who would become food for the lions.

You see, when God has destined you for greatness you cannot die! Destiny won’t let you die!

You know, some of you will probably would have heard the story, I have told it long time ago when I was a very small of boy and my village was still real village; thank God we are a city now.

And in those days white men were in-charge in Nigeria and they were mining for gold because my village was seating on probably the best gold in Africa.

And then, the white man will come in his jeep; the road was narrow but he would come,

And in those days if the white man killed your child, you know, if motor crushes your child, you better pick up your child and run;

Because you could be accused of careless; if you have lost your child and you may be locked up for doing so.

In those days, the white man in my village was called ‘Alapadupe’ – that is when he kills your child, you better pick the child and begin to say thank you thank you and run.

So, my sister and I we were returning from the farm and we were enjoying ourselves, you know, village life; singing and …,

And all of a sudden, the sound of a vehicle coming, and before we know what was happening, we turn back and the white man jeep was already on us,

My sister grabbed me, jumped out of the road, and we landed in a pit, one of the abandoned miner pit.

And the Alapadupe has gone, and my heart was pounding, pounding, pounding, I just escaped death,

And all of a sudden, we heard a sound because into the pit that we had jumped there was a snake, one of these very poisonous snakes, extremely black, and we have come to disturbed it, and it was hissing badly,

When I saw the snake, the heart that was pounding before, stop breathing; and you cannot fly you are the one in the pit with a snake.

But somehow the snake discovered that we are not really after him, so crawled out of the pit.

I escaped alapadupe, I escaped the poisonous snake, but the trauma led me to series of nightmares,

Every night, it is either I dreamt of alapadupe or I dreamt of the snake, and because of so many nights without sleep I develop high fever,

And you know, in those days when your son had high fever and he is shaking you believe the best cure is to put the child on your back and rap him with very heavy cloth.

The temperature was already high and now I am rapped in thick cloth, and the temperature over shot and I became unconscious.

But I survived because it is in my destiny that one day I will seat in front you like this and tell you that whether the devil likes it or not, you will live, you will not die, you will fulfil the purpose of God.

Destiny can nullify death!

It can even do more, destiny can reverse the irreversible.

You know the story of Sarah, in Genesis 17 you can read from verse 1 to 17, …

Thank You Father.

The Lord asked me to tell someone, He said you will understand, He asked me to tell you I will strengthen you.

Genesis 17 from verse 1 to 17, the Almighty God tells us Sarah you are going to be the mother of nations.

But by the time God finally showed up, the Bible says in Romans chapter 4 from verse 17 to 22 that the womb of Sarah was dead

Dead wombs don’t bring forth children, but because there was a destiny that this woman would become the mother of nations

Destiny reversed the irreversible, because we are serving the God with whom nothing shall be impossible.

You know, the Bible says in Proverbs 19 verse 21, he said there are many devices in the heart of men but the counsel of God shall stand.

I know in the process of waiting for a baby to come, Sarah had maneuver that the husband should go in to the servant, leading to the servant becoming pregnant, and then becoming arrogant, etcetera etcetera

But the destiny over Sarah was there; and when God was ready, He even brought the dead back to life.

It does not matter what may be the various plans enemy had put in place concerning you; it does not matter how hopeless your situation may be, I am to tell you, the counsel of God concerning your life shall come to pass.

Do you know dry bones can live again?

The God who did it before will do it again.

And in many occasions, you find yourself in a situation that unless God intervenes there is no way you can become what God wants you to become; but leave that God

And I believe there is someone here who is listening to me now, the situations around you will clearly show that let us forget it, the enemy has won,

But I decree to you once again, you shall laugh last.

Let me say once again, you shall laugh last.

You remember, some of you probably may not, you will remember something that happen in 1982 or so,

I went to our church in Ilorin and then as I was about to leave, the midwives came to me and say Daddy thank you are here,

There is a woman who said the day she delivers is the day she is going to die.

She had come here; and we have told her since you have made up your mind to die the day you deliver, why are you here? You want to us responsible?

But she is here now; and thank God you are here.

And so, I went to her; sister, is it true that you are going to die on the day of your delivery?

She said yes.

Why are you here?

I am not sure I don’t want die any more.

Haa!

So, I prayed and I left.

Three days later, Brethren came from Ilorin, Daddy you prayed for, as soon as you left, she gave birth.

I said, good, praise God.

That’s not the story.

After she gave birth, we discovered there is another baby in her womb and for three days we have been praying and the other baby has not come;

We begged this woman, let us take you to the hospital she said no, I am not going.

But said you don’t want to die anymore!

And she said that is while I am not going, I am staying here, and so that is while we have come.

I looked at them, I am telling you, I trembled: Taiwo has come, and we waited for three days for Kehinde;

But put up a bold face; is that why you have come? After all the God in Lagos is the same God in Ilorin; go back, before you get home Kehinde would have come

I said it only by faith o, and gave them some coke and they left.

As soon as they left, I ran upstairs to my prayer, fell on my face, and said God you promised me to call upon you in the day of trouble, today is the day of trouble

I know you are all men and women of faith; nothing shakes you at all, I am happy to hear that,

And God spoke to me, haa, you mean you did not believe what you said; you told them to go home that before they get home the other child would have come!

Father, I believe and that is while I am here praying!

How many of you believe that you are going to be great?

Let me hear you shout hallelujah.

And it was a Saturday, usually at least in those days I usually fasted before Sunday service,

And God said to me son, if you believe go and eat.

I said Daddy you know tomorrow is Sunday, I am fasting.

He said if you believe go and eat.

I ate; and up till today, I don’t know whether the food went through or through somewhere else

But before they got home, not only has Kehinde come, a third child also came.

Imagine being in your mother womb and your mum dies, what can you do?

You have no control, but the Almighty God has a purpose for the triplets.

The last time I saw them, they are already adults, wonderful people, doing very well.

I decree to somebody here today, every irreversible in your life because you are destined to be great shall be reverse.

Still talking about the power of destiny…,

I told you I won’t be long because my children have done very good work.

There is something about destiny, it clings to you like your shadow; it stays permanently with you.

Take Joseph for example:

By the time you read Genesis chapter 37, you can read it from verse 3 onward,

You will find that Joseph was the favorite of the father, why?

There is no particular reason; or they said he is a child of old again.

But there was someone else who came after him.

And then when Joseph landed in Potiphar’s house, Genesis 39 from verse 1 to 6, the Bible says he practically took over.

The great man who bought has a slave handed over everything to him

Why?

He was destined for greatness.

By the time you get to Genesis 39 from verse…

Thank You Father.

Maybe I will say amen to this one because the Lord says you will soon discover your high way to sweatless success.

By the time they lied against Joseph and they threw him to prison, Genesis 39 verse 20 to 23, as soon as he landed in prison, destiny will not allow him to be an ordinary prisoner, the jailer handed over everything to him.

And like somebody said, jail cannot be that bad if you are the one in control; Joseph was the one in charge of who will eat, what they will eat, when they will eat; he was a prisoner, but he was still a great prisoner because destiny clings to you.

If you are destiny to be great, from tonight onward for example now, you will discover that wherever you go, you will enjoy extraordinary favour.

I am trying to see what to jump and what not to jump.

Well, let me say this one, when we talk about destiny, it is just a matter of time,

Habbakuk chapter 2 verse 3, tells me that the vision might for an appointed time, even if it tarries, wait for it.

From the day you where boy, like one of my boys said, the day a lion is born is already a king.

If a goat sees a baby lion, the goat will run even though he is a baby.

God who decides what you are going to become, He is also the One who controls times and seasons.

If you look at the case of Joshua or Caleb, in Numbers chapter 14 from verse 6 to 38, when they were the two who said, hey, don’t be afraid of the people let us go and possess the land, and God made some pronouncement.

By the time we got to Joshua chapter 14 from verse 6 to 15,

Haa! thank You Father.

The Lord says He wants to address your dreams. He says there is someone listening to me tonight, that you have been dreaming of almost drowning and the Lord asked to tell you, He will dry up the river of the enemy.

He says there is someone who have been dreaming of going back to primary school; you will dream you are back in primary school; the Lord asked me to tell you I assure you, you will never be less than you are now.

The Lord said there is someone here, you have been dreaming of climbing a slippery mountain; as you are trying to climb you are sliding down, trying to climb you are sliding down; Daddy asked me to tell you He will carry over the mountain.

All manners of dreams

The Lord said there is someone here, anytime you are about to succeed you will dream and see red thing – red pepper, red oil, red dress; He asked me to tell you, all the dangers ahead of you had been diverted.

Thank You Father.

May I decree to every one of us, from this night onward you will be having pleasant dream.

Is a matter of time for the fulfilment of God’s purpose for your life.

By the time we got to Joshua 14 verse 6 to 15, Caleb came to Joshua and said sir, you were there some forty-five years when it was prophesied through Moses that you and I will take over this land;

Give me this mountain, I am still as strong today as I was so many years ago.

You know, destiny not only will prevent you from dying, he practically prevents you from getting ‘old’,

So, there might one or two people here tonight who think that I had a prophesy concerning my future about thirty years ago and now I am old, it does not look like that prophesy will be fulfill, before the end of this year you will testify.

I mean you know the story of David from 1Samuel 16 verse 11 to 13 that was the time he was practically the king, David you are king;

But time went one, instead of becoming king, the present king was trying to kill him,

You know how many time the king threw javelins at David, but the javelins kept on missing?

Then David moved on, 1samuel 22 verse 1 to 2, he became a leader of people you could called vagabonds,

And later, little by little, 2Samuel chapter 2 verse 4, he became the king Judah.

And then by the time we got to 2Samuel chapter from verse 1 to 5 he became the king of Israel.

He was destined to be king of Israel.

And because it is a matter of time, I have a funny fulling that God brought up this topic: Destined for Greatness, after a hundred days fast, I have a sneaking feeling that as it is written, thou will arise and have mercy on Zion because the time to favour her, yea the set time has come.

And then my son was preaching and then he said, it is all a matter of mercy.

I said, I see!

There is somebody here, your time for greatness has come.

Let me begin to round up.

Don’t worry, next month if the Lord tarries we will be doing part three; but there is one thing about destiny that you need to know straight away:

It creates in you a hunger for God; somehow there will be a hunger in you for God.

Joseph said in Genesis 39 from verse 7 to 9, when the wife of the owner said come and committee adultery with me, nobody will know,

He said God will know; I cannot do what you are asking me to do and sin again God.

He was not talking about sinning against his master; he was talking about sinning against God.

Joshua, you heard him, in Joshua 24 verse 15: as for me and my house we will serve the Lord

As for David like I told you at the beginning, he was the one who said in Psalm 34 verse 1, he said I will bless the Lord at all times, His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

If you know that name that David called God you will know that this boy is not ordinary.

In Psalm 18 verse 1 to 2: You are my strength, You are my rock, You are my fortress, You are my deliverer, You are my trust, You are my buckler, You are the horn of my salvation, You are my high tower, haha!

In Matthew chapter 14 verse 23 to 33, that one of my children mentioned, everybody was seating on the boat when that storm was there and Jesus was walking on the sea, and it was only Peter who said, if it is you ask me to come?

There is something about destiny, it links you with God; you just want to be where God is, you want to please Him, you want to serve Him whatever it cost.

Let me tell just one story and it will be time to pray; true story.

There was a man, a relation of mine, we grow up together, we were almost inseparable as friends, we were very little;

But somehow, he loved God, he demonstrated it; me I was a little bit of a rascal (we don’t want to tell a story about tonight)

But somehow when we go hunting, we hunt for birds, and fish, and so on; he can bring down any birds with the cater port; and we go for fishing he will always catch the biggest fish.

He was Roman Catholic and I was Anglican; he was the one who thought me so funny funny things when I did not mean I go to church, but he was, and you could see that this boy loves God.

One of the funny things he thought me for example is that if you are walking along the way and you strike you toe against rock, stop, and do like this in the name of the Father, and of the son, and of the Holy Spirit, and then you can continue.

I said why?

When you strike your foot against a stone, God is saying danger ahead, so, stop.

I am talking about when we are very very little; I am talking about the 1950s.

And so, because everybody saw that this boy was inclined towards God, he went to the Convent and became a Reverend father,

I mean the day he became a reverend father, my wife and I we were probably the only relatives who were there, and he was, I mean this man was close to God; at least, in his own way.

And he rose in hierarchy so fast that a time came that the want to select a Bishop, himself and another fellow had probably contested for it, and the other fellow was chosen,

And this my relative, my friend, became so disappointed that he decided to leave the ministry.

He told me, he was not disappointed because he lost, but because of the way he lost. We leave that out of the story.

So, he left priesthood, got married and began to have children.

Somewhere along the line, me the bad boy I had become born again, I have become a pastor.

And one day this my friend heard that somebody is coming to hold a crusade in a church in Ile-Ife, and he asked who?

And they mentioned Adeboye, because we have not seen for some time; could it be the same Adeboye?

So, he came; he came to find out if that boy he knew can ever become a pastor, and he heard me preach;

I don’t know what I said but that day he gave his life to Jesus, and joined the Redeemed Christian Church of God, and became a worker, became a deacon, became an assistant pastor, became a pastor, and ended up an elder.

He was destined to serve God; he was going one way, the enemy thought he would truncate his destiny but God moved him and brought him through another way, and he ended up serving God.

Some of the elders here they know him; they know him to be a very wonderful man of God.

Now, the reason I am telling you that story is for one particular person here tonight because the Lord wants me to tell you whoever you are, He said you are destined to serve Me, and whether you like it or not you will serve Me.

He asked me to tell you to stop resisting you are destined to serve Me.

Now, you might be there in the crowd and you know that you know that you know that this message is for you, I beg you in the Name that is above every other name, stop resisting, surrender to God because God won’t let you go until you surrender to Him.

Apart from that particular person, there are some of you who are here and you have been pretending to be a Christian don’t truncate your own destiny.

One of my sons here had gone ahead and said something about what is coming next month.

When we talk of destiny helpers you are going to learn next month by the grace of God, that one of the greatest helpers of destiny that you can ever have, is yourself.

So, if you are already here tonight, don’t waste time.

If you know you have not really really surrendered your life to Jesus, do so tonight; God want to do something remarkable this year and it is already beginning, don’t be left out.

So, if you want to surrender your life to Jesus Christ, and I mean really surrender your life to Jesus Christ, I am going to count from one to ten, before I say ten, please come and stand before the altar and let us pray for the salvation.

Because if you do not surrender to the Almighty, if it ever gets to a stage and says I leave you to yourself, you will be sad that you came to life without achieving your purpose.

So, if you want to give your life to Jesus Christ come very quickly now, I am counting from one to ten, and before ten, please come and stand before us here.

And if you are that fellow that has been resisting God, come out too, stop the resistance so that things can begin to move in the right direction for you.

I am counting now,

One, two, three,

Destiny is very powerful; it might be pulling you now towards your maker, don’t resist the pull.

four, five,

And some of you are very far away you better begin to move and move very fast.

Six, seven, eight,

You cannot afford to be walking slowly it is your destiny that is at stack; hurry up now because we are about to pray for salvation.

Nine,

Now, those of you on the way keep coming, but those of us in the front and even those of you on the way, it is time to pray now,

Cry unto God and tell Him please save my soul, I cannot live my life without You, You are the only One who can help my destiny, become my Lord, become my Saviour, l will do Your will from now, just have mercy on me.

Go ahead and cry unto the Almighty God.

And the rest of us lets stretch our hands towards this people and intercede for them. Pray that the One who saved your soul will save their own soul also.

Intercede for them.

And if you are on the way hurry up because time has gone; and this is the time, this is your day of salvation, it is a day of mercy, this is your set time; so, if you are not yet saved and you are still on the way, hurry up and come very quickly.

Let us intercede for them for one more minute and then we will pray.

Thank You Father.

Glory be to Your holy name.

In Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

Amen

My Father and my God I want to bless Your name, I want to give all glory and honour for all these who have come forward to surrender their lives to You, Father, please have mercy on them, let Your blood wash away their sins, write their names in the book of life; please Lord God Almighty receive them into the family God, and from now on anytime they cry unto for help, answer them by fire.

And that force on who had been resisting You but who had decided to surrender now, Father, I pray that in a very specific manner, accelerate his promotion; take him back and put him back on track; and that purpose for his life, fulfil rapidly.

And let all there Your children begin to experience a pull towards that special you have for them in Jesus.

Thank You Father. Glory be to Your holy name.

In Jesus mighty name we prayed.

Amen.

Now, those of you in front let me hear you shout hallelujah.

The Almighty God will see to it that from now on there will be rapid fulfilment of His purpose for your life in Jesus’ name.

I promise that from now on I will be praying for you, but I need your names, I need you address and your prayer request and I promise you I will be praying for you.

The counselors will be attending to you very quickly, and counselors please hurry up; and as soon as they have attended to you, go back to your seat because we need to pray now, and we are running out of time.

We thank you choir you can minister while we get down their details.

Thank you, choir.

You may want to write down your prayer points

Number one, you want to thank God that in Him mercy He has kept you alive; and the fact that you are live is that your tomorrow is going to be alright. So, thank Him that He has kept you alive.

And then number two, we will cry unto Him and say Father, everything good in my life that the enemy had killed, Father, resurrect tonight. Because of Your destiny for my life, everything good in my life, including my ability to pray, my ability to win souls, my ability to hear from you, including ability to pray once and get answers immediately, everything good in my life that the enemy had killed Father bring it back to life.

Number three, you will say Father, since destiny can reverse the irreversible, stop the laughter of my enemies and let me laugh last.

Number four, since destiny grant favour, wherever I go from now, in every situation, let me enjoy uncommon favour.

Number five, since there is a timetable associated with destiny, let my day of favour begin today.

Number six, since it is not by power nor might but by Your mercy, Lord God Almighty have mercy on my husband, just have mercy on me.

And then number seven, your own private prayer.

Yes, I know time has gone a bit, but there are some prayers that you cannot talk about time when you are praying them, as these prayers of tonight are such.

So, come to the altar and begin to talk to the Almighty, and I will stop you as soon as the Holy Spirit says you can stop.

But right now, hold on to the Almighty God and say thank You You have kept me alive; thank You for everything that have been said about destiny like raising the dead, reversing the irreversible, etcetera; but more than anything else, just have mercy on me.

Go ahead talk to the Lord.

Thank You Father.

In Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

In the Name that is above every other name, your request shall be granted. The power of God’s destiny for your life will conquer death for you. In other that you might reach the goal that God destined you for, every irreversible in your life shall be reversed. From today onward, where you had been hated you will be favour. The doors that had been shut against you shall be open. God will have mercy on you. The One who is rich in mercy shall show you mercy. Before the end of this month, you will testify, and you will serve God. It shall be well with you. You will live, you will not die, you will reach your goal.

And Father, my very special request for all these Your children is that You will revive them. Physically revive them; materially revive them, maritally revive them, emotionally revive them, spiritually revive them. Father let it be well with them and let Your name be glorified.

In Jesus mighty name we have prayed.
