Thank You for all He has done for you since January one.

Praise Him for journey mercies; for sleeping and waking up, for answered prayers, for victories He has given you that you did not even know about,

Magnify His holy name; He is worthy to be praised; He is worthy to be adored; magnify His holy name.

Almighty God, King of kings and Lord of lords, the Lord of glory, the Lord of hosts, the Alpha, the Omega, the Beginning, the One who is, the One who was, the One who is to come, the Almighty. Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace, glory be to Your holy; Father, glory be to Your holy name.

Thank You for all You have done for us, thank You for what you are doing right now, thank You for what You about to do tonight, accept our thanks in Jesus’ name.

All we are asking for tonight is that You just glorify Your holy name.

In Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

Amen!

Well, let someone shout hallelujah.

I want you to shake hands with two or three people and say, God will bless you tonight.

And then you may please be seated.

We are talking about a Brand-new Beginning, and we have done part one last month, we are moving on to part two, and then we will be reading Daniel chapter 4 verse 34 to 37:

34And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, who dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation:

35And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him Wha doest thou?

36At the same time my reason returned unto me; and for the glory of my kingdom, mine honour and brightness returned unto me; and my counsellors and my lords sought unto me; and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added unto me.

37Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgement: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.

When we are talking about a new beginning, last month we talked about Naaman, and earlier today my son spoke about Job;

But there is hardly any example of a new beginning that can be greater than that of Nebuchadnezzar.

You know his story

For a king, a king of practically the whole world at that time to become a madman, that was a very serious crisis.

For that king to eat grass like animal for seven years, that’s a very serious situation.

For the tide then to turn and for that king to turn from being animal and become a king again- wow! That is a new beginning.

There are some lessons we want to learn from this story and I want you to pay close attention.

The first one you will notice if you read the story of Daniel chapter 4 and you read verse 1 to 4,

Nebuchadnezzar was writing to all people, all nations, all languages, all the people that dwell in all the earth, that man was influential.

And he said he wants to tell them something; he wants to tell them about God.

In verse 4 he said something that need attention, he said “I Nebuchadnezzar was at rest in mine house, and flourishing in my palace” and then, all of a sudden, a storm came.

The first we need to know is that storms are not respecter of persons; anybody can get into trouble.

According to John 16 verse 33, Jesus Christ even to us, He said in the earth, you shall have tribulation; He did not say ‘you may’, He said ‘you shall’; fortunately, He added, “be of good cheer, I have overcome the world”.

In Isaiah 43 verse 1 to 3, He says when you are passing through the fire (not “if” but “when”)

In other words, Jesus is saying trouble can come but I have goodnews for you: He said when you have passing through you are passing through, He said I will be by you.

So, those of you who are already passing through your own storms, congratulations, you will soon come out.

Many of us that you are looking now that are looking so syringe, we have been through storms, God is faithful.

And the better news God has the ability to divert storm; that when the storm is coming, He has the abilities to say “go in another direction”.

I pray for everyone of us tonight, even the storm is already at your door, the Almighty God will divert it.

The second thing we noticed in this story is that storms most of the time don’t give notice.

If you know that trouble is coming, you mighty prepare for it.

But at times some problems come suddenly, that is while a child of God must be ready all the time.

Because the Bible says in 1Thessalonians 5 verse 3, he says when they are saying peace, peace, then sudden destruction can come.

In Daniel chapter 2 if you read the whole chapter, Daniel and co, they were sleeping in their own house and a king had a dream, woke up and forgot the dream, and decreed that if they don’t tell him the dream which he had forgotten and the interpretation, he said, all so-called wise men will be killed.

These people were sleeping in their own houses and this king had a dream in his own house;

You know, we are living in the world and many at times we don’t even remember to say thank You to the Lord and there are no problems.

One crazy head of state can turn your life upside down because of something he did in his house while you are sleeping in your own.

You are sleeping in your home, some storms don’t give notice.

I have told you the story of one of my pastors; the wife was pregnant, they just finished service in the church, came home and they were eating and all of a sudden, the wife shouted.

It was time for her to deliver, alrighty, but she just shouted, and before the husband can say: what is going on? From the dining table she just fell down and died.

I mean it happened so suddenly, and by the time they rushed her to the hospital, the baby inside her was still moving, and mama was dead.

Now, that is what is called a storm; and I am sure you know the rest of the story.

I mean the Doctors still saw the babies still moving and they said, well, let us cut this woman open and see if we can still reach the baby at least.

And because the thing happened so sudden and they saw the situation, you don’t to put somebody to sleep who is already dead; they just opened her up and fortunately there were able to reach the baby.

Only the husband was praying, God, don’t just save my baby, save my wife also.

And you know the rest of the story.

The Doctors said, well, at least let us sew her up so that she can be tidy for the burial, but as they finished sewing her up, she came back to life.

May I issue a decree tonight, any storm that is coming your way shall be diverted.

Another thing that we can learn from the story of Nebuchadnezzar is that it is a terrible thing to be called x this, x that.

It is a terrible to have been great and then become nothing.

Just think of it!

One morning he was a king, by evening he was eating grass with the animals.

It means he woke up seating on his throne, and his wife said your majesty, good morning; and instead of him saying good morning, he said maa.

And the wife said, that is a new one your majesty.

What will you have for breakfast?

Maa!

While the wife was watching and saying what was going on, kabiesi remove his clothes, went to the flower pot and began to eat the flower.

Kabiesi what is happening?

Before the wife could call anybody to come and help, kabiesi has removed all his dress and he was already going to the field because he felt the grass out there is greener than the one who had been in the pot.

Anything that is called “I was good, once upon a time”, “I was rich, once upon a time”, “I was great once upon a time”, it will never happen to you.

You know, when I read the story in Mark chapter 8 from verse 22 to 25, the story about a man who was blind and they brought him to the Lord Jesus, and He spat on his eyes and touched him and ask him: can you see?

And he said, I see men like trees.

It tells you straight away that this man used to see; he has seen trees before, he has seen men before; and then something happened and he could not see anymore.

I decree in the Name that is above every other name, in the Name that is above every other name anything that has gone missing in your body, my Father will give you brand new parts.

And in the example that my son gave of Job, you say what is about Job?

He used to be rich, now he is nothing;

He used to have ten children, suddenly not a single one remains.

He used to be a leader in a town, now people don’t even what call his name loudly.

What do you want to say about a woman in Luke chapter 7 from verse 11 to 16, the widow whose only son died.

I told you that widow used to know joy, she was glad the day she got married, she was glad the day the son was born.

And then the enemy attacked, killed the husband, he was not satisfied with that, killed the only son, before the Lord stepped in to the situation.

In the Name that is above every other name, everything that killed your joy shall be reversed.

You will remember the story of a man who had a quarrel with his wife, and the wife said to him that by the time I finish with you, you will be trekking in Lagos.

The husband laughed!

Trek! Me trek!

He was talking to a man who has a flit of cars but he did not know the kind of woman he was married to,

And one by one everything disappeared until it remains only one car, and then fifty kobo (fifty kobo was a lot of money in those days) that was all he had left.

And he said, what do I do? He was hungry.

If I use these fifty kobo to buy food, what will I use to buy petrol for my car?

And if there is no petrol for my car, I will trek like that woman said, that was when he ran to church to surrender his life to Jesus, and Jesus took over.

And when he testifying, he was dedicating two houses in one day.

Let me pray one more time for somebody, everything good that the devil has stollen from you shall be fully restored.

And then, I am trying to be quick because there are quite a few things I want mention.

And then came the dream, you know, God is rich in mercy, Nebuchadnezzar was an idol worshipper but God just out of mercy decided to show him a glimpse of what is to come.

You know I said many storms don’t give any notice, in the case of Nebuchadnezzar God showed him in a dream.

And the important point here is that the higher you are the more you must be grateful to God for His mercy.

Because when you read Roman chapter 19 verse 17

Thank You Daddy.

The Lord asked me to tell you, He has given spare parts before, He will do so tonight.

In Romans chapter 9 verse 17, the Bible says the reason He made Pharoah great is so that when He drowns him the world will know.

The reason you are great could be for any reason; you have to watch it.

You know, the elders have a saying, if a cockroach falls you don’t hear the sound, if an ant falls, the ground does not shake, but if an elephant falls, those in the bush and those in the hut they will feel the tremor.

So, those of you who are great, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ you shall remain great.

But be careful!

Out of mercy God showed Nebuchadnezzar what was coming; showed him a dream that is not a kind of dream that he can forget; so that somebody can come and warned him that there is a danger ahead.

When all is well with you, learn to be grateful to God every day; remember you are not the one who made yourself; remember God that can lift up can bring down.

Those of you who are already great, in the Name that is above every other name, may you remain great; may you become greater.

But watch it o and be careful.

Because when Daniel came in, as you read from Daniel 4 verse 19 to 27, the interpretation of the dream was freight that for a whole hour Daniel could not open his mouth to speak.

What is this that is about to happen?

At the end of the day, he said to the king, you are the one, you are the tree, you are the one something terrible is about to happen to, but there may be a way out, if you do this, do that, humble yourself, God might change His mind.

He had the warming, but he did nothing about it.

You remember last December during the Congress, God gave us a message that has gone all over the world transforming lives, and that message was ‘jonah must go’.

One of the Jonah that must live your life today is pride.

Pride must go!

Because Proverbs 16 verse 18 says pride goes before destruction.

James 4 verse 6 says God gives grace to the humble but He resists the proud.

You don’t want God to fight you.

When God is fighting somebody; who are you that you even want to fight God anyway.

Some time to time I hear some people say, not too long ago I think towards the end of last, one of the big gone as far as ministry is concern came from the Europe, he came, somebody took him round before they brought him to the house, he saw everywhere, came her, saw;

And he came back to me and said there is one thing I just can’t understand,

I said what is it?

How can God do this much for you and you remain humbled.

I laughed.

You think I want to fight God!

I pray for every one of you, whatever may be happening, may the Almighty God never resist you.

Pride must go!

And then, I am trying to move a little fast.

Do you know that all time that Nebuchadnezzar was mad, he did not know?

Mad people never knew they are mad you know?

That is while they laugh at us; they are walking naked in the street and they see you wearing a suit with tie on and they look at you: in the very heat, you are wearing cloth! They laugh.

They think you are the one who must be crazy.

When I was young in my little home time, there was one crazy man, crazy but not violent, and then, new police came to town and did not know this man, saw him wandering around in the night and arrested him, put him in a cell,

And the following day everybody was looking for him they could not find him.

Finally, somebody said they should check the police station and they find him there

And they said to him (his name was Peter), Peter so you are here?

And they explained to the police man, please let us take him home, he is not very well.

They told Peter, let us go home

Peter said, home! Where is home?

Let us go to your house.

He said, I thought I was the one they said something is wrong with, now I know you are the crazy people.

Since I got here, I have been eating for free; the roofing sheet is iron, when it was raining last night, I was just earing the sound of the rain and now, you want me to leave here and follow…!

He said you are the crazy one.

Crazy people don’t know they are crazy.

Now, let us takes it close.

People who are sleeping don’t know they are sleeping until somebody wakes them up or something wake them up.

When you read Revelation chapter 3 from verse 17 to 19, the Bible tells us that there are some of us who think that we have everything, that we don’t need anything: we are rich, we are prosperous, we need nothing, and God says whereas you are miserable, wretched, poor, and blind.

Occasionally, there are areas in our lives when we are fully asleep, at a time when God expects us to be fully awake.

I am praying for you today, in all the areas that you are at sleep the Almighty will wake you up.

This man did not know that he was mad, and for seven years, he was walking around naked, eating like animals.

There are some who used to be serious prayer warriors, but now it is difficult for them to pray.

There was a time, at least around the time when I got born again, when it is time to pray and we are asked to pray, they have to ring a bell to stop us.

Now, when the pastor asks you to pray, by the time you have prayed for ten minutes you are wandering why is the pastor not stopping the praying.

And is when you are sleeping that you are in the greatest danger.

All of us who have falling asleep, particularly spiritually, may the Almighty God wake us up today.

Let me move on to more positive things.

All the time he was crazy, his kingdom was preserved.

In a era when kings go to war with other kings to snatched their kingdom to add to their own, nobody touched the kingdom of Nebuchadnezzar.

I have goodnews for you, I believe that up till this moment your destiny is still preserved.

Thank You Father.

The Lord says there is someone here tonight, He says your healing will become a wonder to medical science.

The Lord asks me to tell someone He said from now your testimony will steady and steadfast.

Thank You Father.

The Lord is saying someone is saying ‘speak to me Lord’. He asked me to tell you, He as not finished with you yet.

Now, one of the beauties of the story of Nebuchadnezzar, his kingdom was preserved; his period of humiliation was for a season.

Meaning, those of you who had been going through one problem or the other, in Name that is above every other name, a new season begins now.

You know, in Psalm 102 verse 13, the Bible says God will arise and have mercy on Zion because the time to favour her, yea the set has come.

That the Almighty God chose to make this year a year of new beginning it is goodnews for all of us.

The woman with the issue of blood was for twelve years; twelve years came to an end.

There was a case of woman in Luke 13 from verse 10 to 17 who had been double for eighteen years, one day eighteen years were over.

In John chapter 5 verse 2 to 14, there was a man by the pool of Bethesda who had been for there for thirty-eight years, but one day, thirty-eight years came to an end.

In Acts of the Apostle chapter 3 from verse 1 to 8, in the case of the man born lame by the beautiful gate, according to the Bible this man was over forty years old, but one day, forty years came to an end.

In the name of the God you have come to meet tonight, it does not matter how long you have been suffering, your suffering will end tonight.

If you believe me, because the Bible says it shall be unto you according to your faith;

It does not matter how long you have been suffering in the Name that is above every other name, your suffering end tonight.

Let me go on to another point, probably one of the biggest lessons in the story of Nebuchadnezzar is that he doesn’t matter how big the hole that the enemy has dug for you, God can still bring you out.

Because according to Deuteronomy 33 verse 27, the Bible says underneath are the everlasting arms.

If a man was in a hole, Nebuchadnezzar was in a very deep whole, but my God brought him out.

I don’t know how deep your whole is, but the God will all serve, the God that we sing about, the God that can do anything, the God of all flesh, the One whose arms are underneath, that God will bring you out today.

I think it was 1980, there was this very brilliant lawyer and he had a problem and the problem started as if it was an ordinary headache, but then gradually things got worse,

Little by little, little by little, by the end of the day, he was paralyzed neck downwards – every part of his body, from the neck, all the way down –

The only thing that was remained alive was the head; he can still see, he can still talk, he can hear, but the rest of the body gone.

I mean, imagine a lawyer, he cannot move, he cannot dress himself, he cannot go to the toilet by himself, just like that; until the Lord of host intervened.

That God that I serve will intervene in your affairs today.

Oh! my Father, thank You.

The Lord asks me to tell somebody, He says the plan to humiliate you will backfire.

And then, just like I heard Mummy prayed, our God is a God of restoration

Because not only was Nebuchadnezzar healed, his health came back; his brain began to work; his government, his kingdom was restored to him, and nobody asked question, suddenly they just came: your majesty, let us go home.

And suddenly, he looked at himself, the hair on his body was like the feathers of birds; his nails as become like claws,

And suddenly he saw this people coming, these are my chiefs, what is going on chief? What has happened?

They said, your majesty let’s go home first; and they washed him, cut his nail, put him back on his throne.

In the name of the One who called us together all this past forty years to be meeting with Him, in a service, the kind of service that have never held, before all over the world, the service He himself gave us, a service He decided to call Holy Ghost Service, in the name of that Person, everything you have lost shall be fully restored.

Let me conclude with this because I have decided tonight, I am going to give you time to pray.

Because at the beginning of Holy Ghost service after I have preached, we prayed.

In those early days, we could pray for three hours nonstop, we were few then – maybe between eight and ten thousand.

I remember very well in those early days, I used to lay hands on everybody who would come.

We will start at 7:00pm, and at times we may end at 8:00am; but then we began to cause traffic jam on the express way that’s while we reduce the time.

But tonight, being the eve of the anniversary, tonight being a night when God wants to do something for us that He did for Nebuchadnezzar, I think we should pray, how may of you agree.

You don’t agree? It is up to you.

Not only was his government, his kingdom, restore to him, He now added one thing ‘excellent majesty’ was added.

One thing I know about God is this, He is very generous God; when He decides to favour you, you will beg Him to stop.

Thou anointed my head with oil, my cup does what? (it runs over).

I believe God spoke through my son when he spoke about ‘oversize miracles’.

Yes, when I gave him that suit, I knew he was too small for it, I wanted him to grow into it, and I thank my God, is not where he used to be

He got the suit in those days when probably people only living in around Abule-odu knew him, now, they know him throughout the world, and he still growing and he keep on growing.

How many of you want God to give you overside miracles?

Let me hear you shout hallelujah.

Let me conclude this from the story of Nebuchadnezzar, the greater the problem, the greater the testimony.

That man had an oversized problem and he got an oversized miracle.

So, if your problems are big, get ready what will happen the day you are sharing your testimony.

You must have noticed that by now; somebody gets up, I have been married for ten years now I have a child;

Oh congratulation!

Many at times you couldn’t even shout.

But when somebody said I have been married for twenty-five years, now look at me; and now, she is carrying a baby, the husband is carrying a baby, two other people is helping them to carry the extra

You know that kind of testimony that nobody would be able to seat on their chair when they hear, the Almighty God will give you one.

Thank You my Father.

The Lord says I should tell somebody and this one is very good one because He has set the time limit. He said there is somebody here He said before the end of March you will singing hope raising again.

The conclusion of the matter is simple; it is a child who will lift up his hand that can be carried.

Nebuchadnezzar said I returned to my sense; I lift up my eyes and say, Almighty God, how great thou art.

Many of you have been coming, and when we talk about salvation, some of you will think we are joking, you have heard it before, because you don’t know that storms don’t give notice.

I have seen some of you who says you are coming for salvation and you come with your mobile phone., when you are supposed to be crying to Jesus for mercy, you are taking the picture of the G.O.

Don’t wait till you have trouble, because if God loves you, if He really loves you and He knows you are sleeping in sin, He will give you a storm big enough to cause you to run to Him.

I have told you my own story before; I was already a lecturer in the University; nobody could have drag me to salvation if God had not given me problem too big for my mathematics to handle.

When I came to the Redeemed Christian Church of God and I saw the church built with Budoff;

Me! A lecturer of a prestigious university of Lagos; and if I go to church at all, I go to the Cathedral, now you asked me to come…, but when I heard a problem,

And then I came, the preachers will say surrender your life to Jesus, forsake your sin,

I looked at them, what is wrong with this people? Somebody told me that if I come here, you will pray and my problem will be solved.

Tell me how much I will pay and let us settle the matter.

They said we are not talking about your money, give your life to Jesus Christ.

Pride nearly robbed me of my salvation.

Until one day, God came through: He said you are educated, aren’t you stupid? This people you called ignorance, look at their faces, see the peace, see the joy, and you with all your education, with all your position, you know you are in trouble.

And they are only asking you to surrender to God, your God.

Thank God one day I gave my life to Jesus; thank God I am still grateful today.

I am telling someone here tonight, and you know you are the one God is talking to; and you are pretending to be a Christian and you are not, you know you have not surrendered your life to Jesus.

Stop pretending! Come and give your life to Him now because you never can tell the storm might already be at your door; but if you come to Him now, He has the ability to deal with all storms.

So, if you want to give your life to Jesus, I am going to count from one to ten, by the time I say ten if you are not already in front, I will pray for salvation and the rest of us will continue.

So, if you want to give your life to Jesus Christ you come now as I am counting:

One, two,

And if you claim no, I am already born again and you are still leaving in sin, who is deceiving who? When you are in Christ you are brand new creature that what the Bible says, old things have passed away all things have become new.

Three, four, five, six, seven,

Is a moment of decision and the decision is yours, hurry up now.

Eight, nine,

Hurry up, hurry up.

Okay.

Now those of you on the way keep coming, those of you already in front you are going to begin to pray now, you will cry unto the Almighty God for mercy and say Lord, have mercy on me, forgive all my sin, save my soul Lord, be my Lord, be my Saviour, I open my heart to you come, come and dwell in me, and I will obey You for the rest of my life, I will do Your will, but please have mercy on me today and save my soul.

And the rest of us lets stretch our hands towards this people and intercede for them. Pray that the one who saved your soul will save their own souls also. Pray that God will have mercy on them. Pray that God will give them genuine salvation.

Go ahead intercede for them.

And those of you who are still on the way, hurry up, hurry up, pray as you come too. Pray that God will have mercy on you, that He will forgive all your sins, that He will watch clean with His blood. Pray that He will become your Lord, that He will become your Saviour; promise Him that you will serve Him for the rest of your life.

Go ahead, call on Him.

Now, those of you who are still on the way, keep coming, we have to pray now, make sure you get here before we finish praying.

In Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

My Father and my God I want to bless Your holy name for Your word. I want to thank You especially for this night, because I believe it is going to be a night of complete restoration; please accept our thanks in Jesus’ name.

As for those who have come surrender their lives to You, Father, I pray You will have mercy on them, You will forgive them, You will wash away their sins, that You will give them a brand new beginning. Father, I pray that from now on You will receive them into the family of God, and they will begin to serve You, they will begin to do Your will and don’t let them backslide. Anytime they call on You from now, please answer them by fire, and let them serve You till the end.

In Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

Amen. Amen.

Now those of you who have come forward to give your life to Jesus let me hear you shout hallelujah.

I did not hear your hallelujah.

I want to assure that from now on by the grace of God I will be praying for you; and so, I am going to need your names, need your address, and your prayer requests.

The counselors will attend to you; they will collect the information I need before you go back to your seat.

God bless you.

We wait few minutes for you before we proceed.

Thank you very much.

Now, maybe we want to write down our prayer points now.

Number one, we want to say thank You to the Almighty God for everything He has done in our lives thus far.

Number two, we are going to pray with all our heart that He should please divert any storm that is already coming our way. He has done it before; He can do it again.

Number three, we are going to ask Him for the grace to be forever humble.

Number four, we ask God to please in all areas where we may be sleeping, He should wake us up urgently.

And then we will call on Him to please restore all that we have lost. Say, Father, restore to me, all that I have lost.

Number six, you will pray and say, Father, let Your everlasting arms pick me up and keep raising me, higher and higher.

Number seven, Father, let my testimony shake the world.

Number eight, Father, let my commitment to serve You be absolute. Let my commitment to serve You be absolute.

And then, number nine, pray that at the anniversary of the Holy Ghost service God will do much more than we can hope for.

And then finally, your own personal requests.

The altar is open, and you are going to pray at least for thirty, at the very least.

Thank You Jesus.

Thank You Father.

In Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

The Almighty God will grant your request. This very night He will grant your request. Whatever storms maybe coming your way He will divert them all. He will give you grace to be humble. In all areas where you are sleeping, He will wake you up. None of you will sleep the sleep of death. Everything you have lost; He will give you spare parts. Anything the devil has stolen from you God will get them back. His everlasting arm will pick you up and He will take you higher and higher. You will never know a better yesterday.

Anything called ‘I have been rich, now I am poor’, ‘I have been well, now I am sick’, ‘I have been important, now I am nothing’ that will never come your way. And God will preserve your destiny; He will preserve your destiny. No matter how hard they try, the enemy will not steal your destiny. It shall be well with you. God will give you a new beginning. Beginning from now, there will be a new beginning for you – of joy, of victory, of anointing, of power, of strength, of glory; God will give you a brand-new beginning. Those of you who are already great, you will be greater still. Those of you who are not yet great, you will become great now.

Your future will be alright. And in the mighty name of Jesus, when God is distributing anniversary gift, He will give you your own. He will answer all your prayers, and it shall be well before.

And like never before like no one else, you will serve the Lord. Your testimonies will shake the world. Your testimonies will bring millions into the kingdom. It shall be well with you. So shall it be.
