ARISE AND SHINE 6th of January, 2006

Thank You Father! Alleluia! Thank You Lord!  Thank You Lord! Alleluia! If you are grateful to God that you have seen the New Year Let me hear you shout Alleluia!’ (Alleluia!) Thank You Lord! Thank You Lord! Alleluia! Thank You Lord! If you are confident that by the special grace of God, the God who brought you into this year will also see you through, Let me hear you shout Alleluia! (Alleluia!) Amen!

In Psalm 107:15-16 the Bible says Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! [16] For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron asunder. No matter how rich a man may be, no matter how strong a man is, no matter how famous, if he is in prison it is useless. Adam was a powerful man. He alone was put in a garden the size of Lagos State. He was a very wise man. He named all animals in the world but when God imprisoned him, he became useless. Up to December last year, many of us were imprisoned by the enemy but the Almighty God has broken the gates of brass. He broke the gates of brass and cut the bars of iron asunder. That is why we can say our breakthroughs have come.

I want you to praise Him! Adore Him! Magnify His holy Name! He is worthy to be praised! Magnify Him! He has released you from prison! Your breakthrough has come! Your glory will begin to shine now! Praise Him! Magnify His Holy Name! He is worthy to be praised! He is worthy! He is worthy to be praised! He is worthy to be adored! He is worthy to be magnified! Praise Him! Lift Him high! Lord, I thank You, I’m free at last! The gates of brass have been broken! The bars of iron have been cut!! I’m free! My breakthrough has come! I bless Your Holy Name! I bless Your Holy Name! I want to give you all glory; I want to give you all honour; I want to give you all adoration! Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! Ancient of Days! Thank You! Rock of Ages! Thank You! The “I AM that I AM”, Thank You! the Unchangeable changer! Thank You!! Alpha and Omega, beginning, ending, the One who is, the One who was, the One who is to come,  Almighty God! Thank You! Wonderful, counselor! Mighty God! Everlasting Father! Prince of Peace! Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! for breakthrough Lord! O Lord! I want to bless Your Holy Name! I want to give You all glory! I want to give You all honour from the bottom of my heart I say Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! Almighty God I give You all honour! I give You all adoration!  I adore You! I bless Your Holy Name! Thank You Lord! Thank You Lord! Thank You Father! In Jesus’ mighty Name we worship! (Amen!)

In all the prophecies of this year, whether to Nigeria, to His Church, to individuals, internationally, something keeps occurring, intense prayer! Intense prayer! Brethren, every prayer you pray this year, pray it intensely! Lift your voice to the Almighty and say, Father; I don’t want to remain where I was last year. Please take me to the next level! Let’s talk to the Almighty! Father, I don’t want to remain where I was last year, physically, materially, spiritually take me to the next level! Take me to the next level… In Jesus’ mighty Name we have prayed! (Amen!)

Lift your voice to Him and say, Father; I don’t want to be stagnant. From now on let my progress be rapid! Let’s talk to the Almighty God! From now on let my progress be rapid! I don’t want to be stagnant Lord! let my progress be rapid… In Jesus’ mighty Name we have prayed! (Amen!)

Lift your voice to Him And say Father, anything or anyone that will not allow me to serve you this year, remove O Lord! Let’s talk to the Almighty. Anything or anyone who will not allow me to serve You this year removes O Lord! Remove! Thank You Father… In Jesus’ mighty Name we have prayed! (Amen!)

I want you to lift your voice to the Almighty God and say, Father, I know this is going to be a special year, don’t’ let me miss my time of visitation! Go ahead, talk to the Almighty! Don’t let me miss my own time of visitation…. In Jesus’ mighty Name we have prayed! (Amen!)

The Bible says, you shall decree a thing and it shall be established unto you. I want you to lift your voice to the Almighty and say, Father, I decree, every wall of Jericho in my path, fall tonight! Talk to the Almighty… In Jesus’ mighty Name we have prayed! (Amen!)

Remember this is the first Holy Ghost Service in this year. God is here I want you to talk to Him now. Whatever you want Him to do for you this year talk to Him intensely. Talk to Him now.  Alleluia!! Father Glory be to God!  In Jesus’ mighty Name we have prayed! (Amen!)

Now let’s go before our Maker and worship the God of breakthroughs: Holy, holy, holy, holy, holy, holy, holy, Holy is the Lord, You are high and lifted up, there is no one like You. Jehovah, You are the most high Eternal Rock of Ages, King of Kings!, Lord of Lords!, I AM that I AM, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah!, Glory be to Your Holy Name! Father, Glory be to Your Holy Name!! Almighty God Glory be to Your Holy Name! Accept our worship in Jesus’ name!

Thank You for last year. Thank You for the Congress! Thank You for breakthrough! Thank You for setting us free! Thank You for bringing us into the New Year! Thank You! for life! Thank You! for joy! Thank You! for salvation! Thank You for healing! Thank You for deliverance! Thank You for Jesus! Glory be to Your Holy Name! Lord. Accept our thanks in Jesus’ Name! Father, in the life of Your children gathered here tonight and the families they represent, Father, do something special tonight! (Amen!) Do something special this year! (Amen!) Let our promotion be rapid O Lord, and Father, even before this night is out let us have something to glorify Your Name about! Thank You Father! for In Jesus’ mighty Name we have prayed! (Amen!)

Let somebody shout Alleluia! And then find two or three people you have not seen this year and say, Happy New Year! God Bless you this year! Happy New Year! God Bless you this year! Thank You Jesus! If you believe that this year is going to be glorious for you let me hear you shout Alleluia!! So shall it be In Jesus’ Name! (Amen!)

Isaiah 60:1-5 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.  I think this passage is for me. I take it against Isaiah 60:1-5     Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. (Amen!)[2] For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. (Amen!) [3] And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. (Amen!) [4] Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side. [5] Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, (Amen!) the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee (Amen!).If you are the one this passage is talking about say Amen!’  loud and clear! When I was praying to the Almighty, saying what shall be the theme of the first Holy Ghost Service of this year, He said, Arise and Shine, Arise and Shine.

Now, every statement in the Bible could be an advice, an appeal or a command - an advice, an appeal or a command. For example in Deuteronomy 30:19 the Lord says, I lay before you blessings and curses, life and death, He says, choose life that you and your seed may live! That’s an advice. In Isaiah 1:18-19 when He says  Come now,  let us reason together, He says even though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; He said, If ye be willing and obedient, I say you will eat the good of the land, that’s an appeal. Come, come. Let’s reason together .And then in Mark 16:15 where He says, Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel, that’s not advice, it’s not an appeal, it’s a command. Go! That is a command. Now Arise and shine is a command. The Almighty God is commanding somebody here tonight that beginning from now - arise and shine, arise and shine, arise and shine! Who is going to obey that commandment? Say, Amen! Loud and clear! (Amen!)And what is the meaning of Arise? Arise means move on to the next level, which is the same thing as God’s definition of a breakthrough. Arise!, move on to the next level. So Arise!’ means different things to different people depending on which level you are on. For example when we are talking about promotion; that is when we are talking about upward movement, Arise!’ could mean to somebody who is in a pit to come to the level ground.

In Psalm 40:1-3 David said I cried to God from the miry pit and He brought me onto a rock to stay. When we talk to somebody who is heavily in debt, whose account is reading minus, when we say, Arise!’ we are simply saying get out from debt. And that’s why I decree tonight everybody who owes, in a way that I don’t know how; very, very soon you will be debt free. (Amen!)

For the one who is on level ground, Arise’ means move on to the hill top. Move to the hilltop. Psalm 121:1-2 David said, I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills from whence cometh my help, my help cometh from the Lord who maketh heaven and earth. The hill top is a place of power, a place of help.

In 2 King 1:9-12 Elijah was sitting on a hill top when the enemy came to arrest him. And it was easy from that hill top to call down fire on the enemy below. So those of you who are on the level ground, Arise’ is go to the hilltop, go to the position of power; go to where you can deal with the enemy, that is why I’m decreeing, beginning from now on, those of you who have been struggling with the enemy, wrestling with the enemies, from tonight, you’ll be sitting above them and you’ll be decreeing what will happen to them from the hill top. (Amen!)What about some who are already sitting on the hill top? Arise’ means move to the mountain top. You see there are hills and there are mountains. In Matthew 17:1-9 the Bible says One day, Jesus brought the 12 disciples to a certain level and told 9 of them to wait there and took 3 to the mountain top and on the mountain top they were transfigured before them. They saw His glory. Not only did they see His glory, He told them: Don’t tell the others. Don’t tell them. It’s not for them!

The mountain top is where you see the glory of God. The mountain top is where you receive miracles that you can’t tell others. I am decreeing tonight that there is someone here this year you will see the glory of God! (Amen!) I didn’t say everybody. In the time of Jesus He took three out of twelve. There are at least three people tonight who will see the glory of God. (Amen!)

I said that the mountain top is where you see miracles that you can’t tell others. And I’ve told you before, one of my sons, a big man of God came to see me. He said, Daddy Oh!, God has been so good to me. He has done this, He has done this, He has done this and while He was talking I was .glory be to God! Thank You Jesus! Blessed be the Name of the Lord! At a stage, he said Daddy, I’m the only one talking. You haven’t told me what He has done for you! I said, my son, if I tell you what God has done for me, you will say God is partial; that’s why I keep my mouth shut. The kind of miracles, so big that you can’t tell others it’s going to happen to somebody this year! (Amen!)And then what about those who are already on the mountain top, those who have seen His glory? Those who have received miracles they can’t even share?  Arise’ means, move on to the sky.

In 2 King 2:11 the Bible said while Elijah and Elisha were speaking, suddenly the heaven opened and there were horses and chariots of fire that parted the two of them asunder and Elijah went by whirlwind to the heaven. For those who are on the mountain top Arise!’ means, number one, the heaven will open; number two, there will be a divine visitation; number three there would be an unusual promotion. So I don’t know who I’m talking to but for somebody tonight this year your heavens will open. (Amen!) The Almighty God will visit you and your promotion will be very, very rapid. What about another example. Let’s take the case of progress.

Thank You Father! The Lord says there’s someone here, one eye was almost completely gone. The Lord asked me to tell you the eye is clearing up fast. (Amen!)

Thank You Father! The Lord says there’s someone here tonight they thought that they have sealed you in. The Lord asked me to tell you I will make a hole in the sealing! (Amen!)

I want to encourage us this year, when God sends a word to us like this, a powerful Word like that, let us appreciate Him; let us appreciate Him; let us show Him we appreciate what He has done for us! Let’s appreciate Him. O Thank You Father! Glory be to God! Amen! It is not a joking thing for the enemy to seal you in that is another way of saying they have decided you cannot go higher than where you are. And when God says, I will drill a hole through the ceiling that is something to rejoice about! That’s something to rejoice about. That’s something to rejoice about! It is something to rejoice about. Thank You Father! You see because once God opens a hole in that sealing nobody can seal it again! Some of us know, we know what it is to work, to struggle so hard to go up but just remain where you are but with the hole, with the hole, with the hole in the ceiling.

Let somebody shout Alleluia! Shake hands with one or two people! Tell them, I will see you at the top! I will see you at the top! I will see you at the top! Thank You Father!

Now when we are talking about Arise’ and we are considering progress.  Arise!’ to the dead means come back to life’. In Mark 5:35-42 when Jesus got to the house of Jarius, after He had driven out all those who were weeping and in the mighty name of Jesus Christ mourners will not have a place in your home (Amen!) . Those who are thinking that they will come to your house to weep Jesus will drive them out! (Amen!).

After Jesus drove out the mourners and He entered into the house where the little girl who died was laying, He took her by the hand and said unto her, Little girl I say unto you Arise!’ Arise to the dead means, come back to life. That is why I am decreeing in the name of the One who sent me, every dead project, arise! (Amen!) Every dead hope, arise! (Amen!) Every dead womb, arise! (Amen!) Every dead brain, arise! (Amen!) Every dead marriage, arise! (Amen!) O Thank You Father! Glory be to Your Holy Name!

To the one who is sleeping, Arise!’ means, wake up! Wake up! You see the danger in sleeping is that you don’t know when the enemies are closing in. A man who is sleeping doesn’t know when the enemies are moving in. Before he wakes up the enemy has killed all his children!  Arise!’  Means to the one who is sleeping, wake up! In Mathew 2:13-14 Joseph was sleeping. He didn’t know that a king had already sent soldiers to go and kill all small children but God spoke to him “eh-eh-eh Joseph, wake up, wake up! Take the child and run until the enemies are dead. How many giants are here tonight? Many giants! Giant businessmen, students who could be giant professors? People who could be giant leaders of tomorrow but because they are sleeping they don’t know.. I command tonight every giant sleeping here; wake up in Jesus’ Name! (Amen!)

Thank You my Father! Daddy says There’s someone here it is as if your body is in pieces, the Lord asked me to tell you He is reassembling it in Jesus’ Name! (Amen!)

Ah! Thank You Father! Daddy says There’s someone here tonight this year you will meet your divinely appointed partner. (Amen!)

Thank You Father! Go ahead! Give the Lord a big round of applause. Thank You Lord! Thank You Lord! That’s a good one. So to the dead, Arise!’ means come back to life. To the sleeping, Arise’ means wake up. To the one who is seated, Arise!’ means stand up! In John 14:30-31 the Lord had been talking to the disciples. They were seated and He was talking to them. When they finished talking, He said, Arise, let us go!  Arise!’ to the seated means stand up and let us go.

Do you know that in every congregation when we are all seated like this, there are hidden talents? Because they are seated, they are hidden. Take the example of the choir. When all the choir is seated we don’t know who can sing solo; we don’t know who has the best voice because they are all seated. It is only if/when they begin to stand up one by one, one by one, that you suddenly say, oh-oh, you mean such a talent is here! In that Name that is above every other name, I command every hidden talent Arise!’ (Amen!) Stand up! (Amen!) Stand out! (Amen!) Become outstanding in the mighty Name of Jesus! (Amen!) Glory be to God!

I remember as a young Christian, I’ve been in the church serving my God, doing whatever I’m asked to do. One day the General Overseer asked me to interpret for somebody. I have never done it before. I broke out in sweat and because even though I was a lecturer in the University, I didn’t know where the Thessalonians and Colossians can be found in the Bible. Anyway things moved on and I began to study the Bible privately saying that if these market women can know this Bible, I can know it too. Then one day it came, in morning prayer meeting (we used to have prayer meeting 5.30am - 6.00am in those days) the preacher was absent so they looked around and said, Okay, you go and preach. And suddenly something unexpected happened. And the people heard a sermon, the kind they have never heard before. Somehow a hidden talent began to surface. I command tonight all the talents that have been hidden in your life arise in Jesus’ Name! (Amen!)

What about the fellow who is already standing? What is the meaning of  Arise!’ to the one who is already standing?  Arise!’ to the one who is standing means jump into action; begin to move! In 1 Sam. 16:11-13 the Bible tells us that when Samuel had examined all the sons of Jesse and couldn’t find a king among them. He asked is there no other one? And the father said, oh!, there remains one boy. Emm! He can’t be a king! Samuel said, Go and get him because we will not sit down until he comes. So Samuel was standing, Jesse was standing when they brought in David and as David came in God said to Samuel, This is he.  Arise and anoint him!’ They were already standing but God still said Arise!’ So Arise!’ to the one who is standing means jump into action, hurry up, don’t waste any more time! I command all of you who have been waiting for an opportunity, an opportunity to succeed, an opportunity to be great, an opportunity to serve God, Arise!’ (Amen!) Go out and grab the opportunity in Jesus’ Name! (Amen!) O Thank You Father! Blessed be the Name of the Lord!

The Lord says there’s someone here for a long time you have been suffering from waist pain. The Lord asked me to tell you that is over now! (Amen!)

Thank You Jesus! That’s over now. Amen! Amen!

The Lord says there’s someone here and I know it must be me,! He said, I will pour fresh oil on the engine of your life. Fresh oil on the engine of your life. (Amen!)

Maybe you don’t understand, maybe you don’t understand; let me explain that one to you. When an engine is running, if it has no oil it will break down completely and become completely useless. When an engine has been working for a long time and you take it to your mechanic for servicing, they remove the old oil and put in fresh so the engine will begin to sound like new. I believe that what God is saying is that physically, somebody is getting an overhaul right now! (Amen!) But even more importantly it means the one who is getting tired, God is revitalizing them! (Amen!) If I were you I would really shout Alleluia!(Alleluia!)

So Arise’ to the one who is standing is jump to action. Then what about those who have already been working, Arise!’ means begin to run. In 1 Samuel 17:48 when David saw Goliath coming he arose and ran to battle. He hit Goliath before Goliath could even move at all. You see, the word intercede or intercession means the enemy wants to somebody who is precious to you and you decide to stand between the enemy and the precious one so that the blow that the enemy wanted to hit your precious one with might hit you instead of your precious one. That is the meaning of intercession but the beauty of it is if you move fast, before the enemy can move then you will be able to hit the enemy before he can hit anybody at all. So when you run to battle like David did, before Goliath could draw his sword or take his spear the blow had already landed Goliath. That is why I’m decreeing this year, anyone who has any evil plan concerning those precious to you; God will hit them before they can move! (Amen!)

What about those who are already running, what is the meaning of Arise?  Arise!’ to the one who is running means fly ,fly! In Isaiah 40:31 the Bible says they that wait upon the Lord shall mount with wings like eagles. Anyone who is flying can fly over any mountain. I think I have discussed it here before, several years ago, that there are various ways of dealing with a mountain. If you find a mountain blocking your way, you can turn back, or you can walk round it. The problem with walking round it is that after walking and walking, you may come back to where you started. Or you can climb it. The problem with climbing a mountain is that you can slip and fall right back to the bottom. Or you can drill a hole through it. And the problem with that is that is takes a lot of time and energy. Or you can sit on top of it.

The problem with that is you have to climb it first before you can sit on it. Or you can dynamite it like they dynamited the wall of Jericho with a shout but the best way to deal with a mountain is to fly over it. The mountain is there, it doesn’t concern you. In fact you can be looking down on it from where you are. This year every mountain in your way, you will fly over them (Amen!) So, Arise!’ to the one who is running, is fly’. You’ve been making progress. Now let’s take him through the air, let’s fly! When you fly you cover a lot of distance in a short time. Can you imagine someone running from here to Sokoto? You know how long it will take him whereas if you take a plane, within one and a half hours you are already there. The progress of somebody will be rapid this year in Jesus’ Name! (Amen!)And to the one who is flying, Thank You Father!

The Lord says there’s someone here you have complained to your doctor that you feel very sluggish and the doctor said the problem is with your blood. The Lord asked me to tell you He has changed your blood. (Amen!)

O Thank You Father! Glory be to God!

The Lord says there’s someone here who has just asked God for double promotion. Ah! if my promotion is going to be rapid, give me double promotion! The Lord asked me to tell you It will not be double, it will be triple. (Amen!)

I can say Amen to that one! Then what about the one who is already flying? What is the meaning of Arise!’ to the one who is already flying. It means move on to higher heights.  When you are flying there are levels and levels and levels. If you are travelling say by plane and you are going from Lagos to Ibadan, since Ibadan is not far from Lagos, they will tell your plane not to go too high because very soon you will be coming to land. But if you are going from here to London, they ask you to go far, far, up and the higher you go, the more you can see! I decree tonight that all the opportunities that had been hidden to you, as you rise they will become available to you. (Amen!) Alleluia! Example three where Arise!’ could mean different things to different people..

Thank You Father! The Lord said there is someone who has been having problem with the knee caps. The Lord asked me to tell you he has given you brand new kneecaps. (Amen!)

The Lord says there’s someone here; in spite of the expectation of the enemies the grave will not swallow you this year! (Amen!)

I can say Amen!   to that one also. O Thank You Father! Shake hands with somebody and tell them that I will see you in 2007! I will still be around in 2007! God has said that the grave is not going to swallow me!  Thank You my Father! Thank You Lord! Go ahead give the Lord a big round of applause! Alleluia!

Now example 3 of Arise!’ meaning different things to different people is In the area of prosperity. There is a level called the poverty level. That is the level of never enough. It’s a terrible level. It’s a level of suffering; it’s a level of unnecessary hatred. Proverbs 14:20 says the poor is hated by his neighbors. Proverbs 19:7 Says all the brothers of the poor hate him. Why? Because he’s poor? Because he’s a burden. When they see him coming they know he is coming to take a little of their money away. They said even his friends begin to run from him so that he won’t borrow more money. Poverty is a curse. I decree, in that Name that is above every other name, you will not remain in that level! (Amen!)

So Arise!’ to someone who is in poverty level is get away! Get away from that level! There is another level, a higher level called a comfortable level; it’s the level of just enough. Proverbs 30:7-9 it says, give me neither riches nor poverty so that I won’t steal and So that I won’t become too comfortable and then forget you. And in 1 Timothy 6:6-8 the Bible said godliness with contentment is great gain. So that level is a good level - but Arise!’ is saying to the one in the comfortable level, move on to the next level, there is a higher level! You see because the problem with this comfortable level is that if there is something big that will cost money happening to you, suddenly, you move into debt. That second level is still too close to the poverty level. And then there are several things that your heart will want to do for God you can’t do it because you are just at the comfortable level. I decree all of you who are in the border line you will Arise and Shine this year in Jesus’ Name! (Amen!)

 Thank You Father!

The Lord said somebody sprained his or her ankle during the end-of-year festivities. The Lord said He has healed that one. (Amen!)

O Thank You Lord! Thank You Lord!

The Lord says there’s someone here tonight, He said I have released to you the gift of faith and you can now move mountains. (Amen!)

I think you should say Amen!’ to that one!

So when the fellow in the comfortable level arises, he moves on to the rich level. This is the level where you have enough and to spare. This is the level where you begin to exercise some dominion. This is the level with an element of security. Proverbs 22:7, the Bible says the rich ruleth over the poor. So when you are on the rich level you have an element of dominion. Ecclesiastes 7:12 the Bible says, money is a defense. There is an element of security when you are rich; that is why in the Name that is above every other name, you will be far from the level of poverty in Jesus Name! (Amen!). (Amen!)But even those who are in the level of the rich, Arise!’ still means move on to the next level.

Thank You Father! The Lord says, the one who says he will take your crown will lose his own head. (Amen!)

I think you should give God a big round of applause for that Thank You Father! So you know I don’t need to explain that one, it’s clear! There is a level called the wealthy level. This is the level of abundance, the level of the very rich, I know many Christians don’t want us to talk about that - some Christians don’t want us to talk about that but Genesis 13:2 said Abraham was very rich in cattle, in silver and in gold. And the Bible said every Christian is of the seed of Abraham. The Bible says in Galatians 3:13-14 that the blessings of Abraham are meant for the Gentiles. Now if I am of the seed of Abraham that means I’m on the same category as Isaac and Genesis 26:12-14 said Isaac became so wealthy that the whole nation envied him.

There is somebody here tonight, by the time God finishes with you the whole nation of Nigeria will envy you! (Amen!)

And yet the one who is in the wealthy level Arise!’ is still saying to him, move to the next. Thank You Lord! I want to say  Amen!’ to this one before I say something on it,

The Lord says there’s someone here tonight; He said your children will make you great! (Amen!)

Now if I were you I will stand up and shout Alleluia! I will glorify God for that; I will praise Him for that! He said your children will make you great! You better say Amen!’ to that You better say Amen!’ to that and give a round of applause to the Lord! He said your children will make you great! (Amen!) Amen! Thank You Lord! Now Arise!’ to the one who is wealthy, means move to the next level, that is the level of the flourishing.

The Bible says in Deuteronomy 28:11-12, it said God will prosper you so much you will be lending to nations. That’s flourishing. And God said in Psalm 92:12-14, the Bible says they that are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish like palm trees, they will just keep on flourishing. In Job 22:23-25 the Bible says if you will just do the will of God you will lay up gold as dust! Do you know in 1 Chronicles 29:1-5 that the beautiful temple of Solomon, that was one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, was completely financed by his father David? You have to be rich to be able to build a temple that is almost 50% gold. But in 2 Chronicles 1:6-15 the Bible says Solomon became so rich to the extent that silver and gold became as common as ordinary stone. I have good news for somebody who had been praying, God I want to serve You! Give me what to use! Very soon you will come to me, you will come to me and say, Daddy, how much will the Congress cost? (Amen!) Don’t tell anybody, just tell me Daddy and I will give you the cheque. Who am I talking to? Let me hear you shout Alleluia!

Some nine years ago now we started the Holy Ghost Service in London and in those days oh! If we got 4,000, we say my what a crowd! because there was nothing as big as that in London then. An all-night prayer meeting in London! 4,000 people! It’s a miracle! But it was costly. At that time it was costing us about £70,000, every one! And suddenly I discovered that because my children over there were making some little contributions they didn’t want the Holy Ghost Service in London any more.

And I know God told me to go. I told them don’t worry, don’t contribute anything, don’t worry at all. I know you think Nigeria is poor but we have made up our minds that we will lend to nations. Don’t contribute. Leave it to God and to those who want to do it. Suddenly we began to grow. The last one we held we rented 40,000 chairs and it was not enough! The cost of the last one is more than £300,000! But there is a God in Nigeria who can take people to the flourishing level where they can lend to nations. How many of you are believing God that very soon you will be one of them? And you will be the one to come and see me anytime we are holding Holy Ghost Service anywhere in the world, tell me how much it will cost and I will write a cheque! How many of you believe God for that? You better tell Him Amen! loud and clear! (Amen!)

Ah! Thank You Lord! The Lord says there’s someone here He said very soon you will say thank God, peace at last! Thank God peace at last. (Amen!) Alleluia!

The Lord says there’s someone here; He said you have lost a lot of ground to the enemy. The Lord asked me to tell you, He said cooperate with me and we will recover all. (Amen!)

Let me go to example 4 where Arise!’ can mean different things to different people. And we want talk in the example of health. There is a level called the sickness level. I don’t need to describe that one but you know it is a level of ache and pain. Sickness is evil; it’s a curse, it’s a bondage. In Luke 13:11-17 the Bible tells us about a woman who was bent for years and Jesus healed her. He called the sickness bondage of the devil. Every one of you in any form of sickness or disease, in the Name that is above every other name, tonight will be the end of that in Jesus mighty Name! (Amen!)

So to the sick Arise!’ means be healed, get well, get out of the level of sickness. But there is a level called the divine health level. Healing is good but to be healthy is better. Never to be sick is good Exodus 15:26 the Bible says if you will obey God completely He will not allow you to be sick at all. It is possible never again to be sick. Hospital is not a very good place to go if they carry you there. If you are a doctor, well that is your place of work, if you are a Pastor you may go there to go and pray and evangelize but to lie on a hospital bed it will never happen to you again in Jesus’ Name! (Amen!).

Deuteronomy 34:7 said, even at the age of 120 Moses was still strong, healthy, his eyes as clear as anything. Those of you who think well I’m getting old, that is why I have this ache, this pain, its old age! Don’t accept that from the devil. From today onwards, in the Name that is above every other name, no more aches, no more pain, you will be healthy in Jesus’ Name! (Amen!)This January by the special grace of God I am celebrating 32 years of divine health. Your own testimony will be like that very soon in Jesus' Name

The Lord says there’s someone here, you spent the whole of January 1 in sorrow. Everybody is saying Happy New Year! Happy New Year!! You say what is there to be happy about? The Lord asked me to tell you I will turn the table against your enemies. (Amen!)

So whoever you are - congratulations! The one who is healthy If you want to clap for the Lord, go ahead! Give Him a big round of applause. Thank You Lord! Thank You Lord! For the one who is healthy, no sickness, no disease, Arise!’ means move to the next level. What is the next level?  The next level is that you will be able to heal others by touching them. Health is good but healthy and useful is better.

In Mark 16:17-18 the Bible says you shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. There is somebody here tonight, even by Saturday morning; anyone you lay hands upon shall be healed in Jesus’ Name! (Amen!)I remember the first time I laid hand on one child and she recovered immediately, I was frightened. The mother brought the child and said this child had never spoken. I don’t remember the age but the child was fairly tall and I wanted to pray because they said I should pray. I wasn’t expecting anything to happen. But then as I lay hands on the child and I said, In the Name of Jesus, that’s all I said! And the child said Amen!’ I nearly jumped out of the window! There is a miracle that frightens, that kind of miracle is going to begin in your life now. (Amen!)And for the one who can heal by touching, Arise!’ means go to the next level. Oh! Thank You my Father! I knew that tonight will be a special night. But You are really exceeding my expectation Lord, Thank You!!

The Lord says there’s someone here tonight He said, I should tell you, the one who brought the problem shall take it away. (Amen!)

Ah! Thank You my Father! Thank You Lord! Go ahead give the Lord a big round of applause!

The one who brought the problem will take the problem away. Arise!’ to the one who is already healing by touch means, go to the next level. What is the next level? That’s the level when you can heal with your handkerchiefs. In Acts 19:11-12 the Bible says, God performed special miracles by the hand of Paul so that from his body aprons, handkerchiefs were taken to the sick and the sickness departed from them and demons even fled from them. In other words this man was so anointed that even his sweat carried power. Beginning from today when you wash your hand in water, there’ll be power in that water. (Amen!)

Somebody shared a testimony; I think it was January last year. I went to visit a friend of mine and it was time to eat and I saw this man struggling to sit next to me and I saw his wife struggling to sit next to me. I was wondering, what’s going on but since I was a visitor, I couldn’t say much so I sat down and I began to eat and they gave me the leg of a chicken. And it was very well prepared. I finished it and I crushed the bone. And I saw the man looking disappointed. I didn’t know what was happening but my hostess saw the way I dealt with the leg of that chicken and she said Daddy do you want more? I said if you don’t mind. So she gave me the second one, that’s a warning to you by the way. If you know you are not going to feed me very well don’t invite me to your house! Because the Bible says whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might. That includes eating chicken! You invite me to your house and you will see. Alleluia!! So they gave me a second. This time I couldn’t finish it. As soon as I stopped the man who was sitting next to me grabbed my plate and as soon as he grabbed the plate the wife began to struggle with him and I was wondering why. And these are big people, they are not poor, so I said what’s going on?

So they said let’s tell you the story now. The husband said, the year before they told me that the enemy had concluded to wipe me and my family out. I said what can I do? They said there’s nothing I can do. Then at that time you came to visit this family and I thought that was my opportunity. The bone you left at that time I collected them. I went home. I ate part of it. I gave part of it to all my children. The only fellow who didn’t eat was my wife and she nearly died. We spent millions before she could recover. I and my children, nothing touched us, that’s why my wife is struggling.

I am saying to every one of you here tonight every plan of the enemy concerning you and your family this year; I cancel them in Jesus’ Name! (Amen!)

Now somebody who is already healing with handkerchiefs and aprons, what does Arise!’ mean to him?  Arise!’ to him means move to the next level. And what is the next level? That is the level where you can heal without physical contact at all. Acts 5:12-16 tells us that while the other apostles were performing miracles, Peter’s shadow was healing people. He didn’t touch them but his shadow healed them. In Matthew 8:5-8 the centurion came to Jesus and said You don’t need to come to my house. Speak the Word only. There is a level where you can speak the Word only. The Almighty God will take you to that level. (Amen!)

There was a time when we were few in the old auditorium when we were less than six thousand. When we come for the Convention and we have what we call the Holy Ghost Night, I alone will lay hands on everybody. But can you see the crowd. Suppose I were to lay hands on all these people, we will still be here by Monday. So God had to move us to another level where we could simply say there is someone here, there is someone there, there is someone here. And as we say it, God establishes it, that’s why I am saying there is someone here from now on it will be well with you. (Amen!)O Thank You Father!

The Lord says there’s someone here, He said the one controlling your progress shall lose control; the one who had been controlling your progress shall lose control. (Amen!)

So Arise’ means several things to several people but God didn’t ask you to arise alone this year, He said Arise and shine. Now what does it mean to shine? 'To shine   can mean several things but because of time I will be brief. To shine can mean to excel. Daniel 6:1-3 the Bible said Daniel excelled all the others, an excellent spirit was found in him. They gathered 120 people together. Out of them they selected three. Out of the three Daniel was number one. This year, even if they gather a billion people together you will be number one (Amen!)

The Bible says there was no king like Solomon before him and after him. Solomon shone. Elijah when God laid His hand on him, in 1Kings 18:46 he outran Ahab. He shone by outrunning his enemy. This year you will outrun all your enemies. (Amen!)So to shine means to excel. To shine also means to be visible. It means come out of hiding, become visible. In Matthew 5:14-16 the Bible calls us a city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. I command, in the Name that is above every other name, your glory shall come out of darkness! (Amen!) Come out of hiding and begin to shine! (Amen!) Begin to shine! Begin to shine! Begin to shine! Begin to shine! David was hiding among the sheepfold until the day came for him to begin to shine. Nobody knew that he knew how to use the sling! Nobody knew that the boy had killed a lion! Nobody knew he had killed a bear but the day he came face to face with Goliath he began to shine and there is somebody here, before this year is out, Nigeria will take note of you. (Amen!)

O Thank You my Father!

The Lord says there’s someone here it looks as if your light is dim now, The Lord asked me to tell you, and you will still shine (Amen!)

The Lord says there’s someone here, He said if you will put me first. Let me repeat that, if you will put Me first, He said, I will turn your home to heaven on earth. (Amen!)

The Lord says there’s someone here; He said this year will be full of occasions for laughter. (Amen!)

Amen Lord! Amen! To shine means to become influential, to begin to affect lives. For example Joseph, all the time he was in prison he had been interpreting dreams but he was hidden, hidden in prison, like many of us were hidden in prison until a breakthrough came last December. This year, in the Name that is above every other name, we shall march to the throne. (Amen!) As soon as they moved Joseph from the prison to the throne he began to influence people. He began to influence people. I prophesy to you now, beginning from now your life will begin to influence others for good. (Amen!)When we were going to begin the Holy Ghost Service in London, I told my children, let’s do what God asked us to do, I know it is costly, it’s expensive. It will cost you money and prayers and fasting. One day it will pay! One day they will be inviting you to take important decisions in the land. They said Amen! how can they call a Nigerian to come?  And when they want to drive you back to your country if they can, But now when the Anglican Church wanted to choose their Archbishop they wrote to our headquarters in London. What do you think? What’s your opinion? When they wanted -- there’s one building that they built and they wanted to have a chapel there. They said they needed a Pastor who is Pentecostal. They wrote to us. Will you please send us someone? When there was bomb explosion last year in London, they invited our representative, to come to the House of Parliament to come and tell us, what should we do? There is somebody here tonight, very soon when they want to take an important decision in this nation they will send for you. (Amen!)

To shine also means to scatter darkness, to render darkness ineffective. In Judges 15:11-16 when they brought  Samson bound before the enemy the Bible says, the Holy Spirit came on him mightily; the fire of the Holy Spirit burnt the ropes binding him. He took the jawbone of an ass and he began to shine. He killed 1000 of the enemy, the others fled. Beginning from now, when you arrive, your enemies will scatter. If I were you I will say Amen!’ to that one. (Amen!)

I can tell you several stories but because of time I will just go on but one thing I know for sure, those of you who have been running from witches and wizards, as you arise and you begin to shine, they see you and they will run from you. (Amen!) Now, why must you arise and shine? Because your light is come. Your light is come. In Psalm 30:5 the Bible says weeping may endure for a night but joy cometh in the morning. For somebody here, it is your morning of joy. (Amen!) January, the year 2006, the morning of your joy has come. Psalm 102:13

The Lord says there’s someone here that which the enemy has swallowed they shall vomit! (Amen!)

O my God! The Lord says there’s someone here tonight, He said out of the grave of hopelessness shall come forth your living testimony. (Amen!)

Psalm 102:13 the Bible says the time to favor you, the set time to favor you has come. Who is God talking to? I think you better stand on your feet and just praise Him and say Father, I just want to thank You! The time to favor me has come! The morning of my joy has come, my light has come, my light has come! It is time for me to arise and to shine! I will arise and I will shine! Glory be to God! Glory be to God!  Give the Lord a big round of applause Thank You Father! Glory be to God! Thank You Father! You may be seated.

There is one important question we must answer before I close. How do I shine? I know my light has come! Something deep within me says Yes sir, this is your time! But how do I shine? Let us learn quickly from David, from Solomon, from Elijah and from Daniel. These are people who shone - David, Solomon, Elijah and Daniel. What lesions can we learn from them; David. If I say to David how can I shine?, he will simply say be a praise warrior. 2 Samuel 6:14 the Bible says, David danced before the Lord with all his might. He was a king but he danced more than everybody. He excelled everybody, He shone! Everybody saw him dancing! Even his wife saw him that he danced so much his belly came out of the garment! You can’t ignore David when he begins to dance. He shone! He shone! This year let’s praise God till people will notice us. People will say nobody can dance like that brother! Nobody can praise God like that sister.

I’ve told you this story. I went to this house. A little child saw me and ran upstairs, Daddy, Daddy, Pastor is coming! The Daddy said which of the Pastors, the child said, the dancing one! I said Glory be to God!  - the dancing one! At least as far as that little child is concerned there is one Pastor who can dance. May the heavens record that you are a praise warrior! (Amen!) David said I will praise God at all times. His praise shall continually be in my mouth!

If I ask Solomon how can I shine? he will say to me be a giver-warrior. Give more than anybody else can give. Excel, excel! You know, you know Solomon. He started with a thousand burnt offerings. When he knew that some people may want to copy him he moved on to 22,000 oxen, 120,000 sheep, he laid a record nobody could beat. And I’ve told you God asked me several years ago, Son what kind of Pastor do you want to be? And we agreed, I will be the best, I will be the greatest; I will be the richest, that’s what I want to be and He said, is that what you want to be? Ah, then begin to give me the largest currency in your pocket. I started. Later on He asked me to double. Later on He asked me to multiply by 3 and on and on and on. I was sharing this with someone and he said, you can’t give more than I! Every offering now I give N10, 000. I laughed. I said I passed that stage in 1998! I know where I’m going. I’m going to shine! I’m going to shine in praise; I’m going to shine in giving.

If I ask Elijah what must I do to shine? He will say to me, be a soul-winning warrior, He said you tried. He said, have you forgotten when you prayed for 36 hours? Oh He said, I know you have an excuse. You will tell me I’m busier now than then. He said; don’t bother to tell me, I know you will say that! I know you will say it is My fault that I enlarged your coasts, that’s why you can’t pray anymore! That’s why four hours now it’s a long time, how many of you want to shine? You can’t shine with 5 minutes prayer, 30 minutes prayer. When I lead prayers at the beginning of the Holy Ghost Service for about one hour there are some of you who think that is already too much, when he is going to stop. And I’m not asking you to pray for anybody, I’m just asking you to pray for yourself! Things will change. (Amen!) I didn’t hear your Amen!’ (Amen!).

A time is coming, I don’t know how soon, it could be in another month or two, when you will come top the Holy Ghost Service and the only thing we will do, and from night till morning will be prayer. I know you won’t be excited about that. If you want to shine you must pray. You must pray like you have never prayed before! We are going to begin from tonight. We will pray. When you leave here you will pray. When you get home you will pray. You will pray until people will know that you are a prayer warrior. When was the last time that people accused you of praying too much? Somebody who is shining people will notice, they will notice your praise, they will notice your giving, they will notice your soul-winning they will notice your prayer, the world will notice you this year. (Amen!)

In conclusion please note, nobody can shine without light and there can be no light without fire. Oh you see this globe that is shining now giving us beautiful light, if we remove the cover, there is something inside there that is burning. There is no light without fire. That is why those of you who came to the Holy Communion last night, we cried for fire, the fire of the Holy Spirit will come back to His church. I told them that once upon a time a witch cannot sit comfortably in a Pentecostal church! Why? Because the fire of God was there! The fire of God was there!

A man came to the church with his wife. After about 2 weeks, we see the husband we can’t see the wife. Sister, why are you not coming to church?  She said, since I started coming to your church I can’t fly anymore! Ah! What burnt the feathers? The fire of God, that fire of God that can burn the feathers of a witch will begin to burn in your homes! (Amen!) You better say Amen!’ loud and clear! (Amen!)

Some of you have heard me share the testimony, a brother said, I’m working hard and making good money, I don’t know how the money is disappearing! So he decided for one week we are going to pray, him and the wife! Everybody in the house, fasting and praying! I think it was the third day or so when the fire began to burn, then the houseboy began to say,”they sent me now, it’s not me! It’s not me! I didn’t want to do it”! You see when light begins to shine, you all know what happens, at night, when you switch off the light and you go to bed and suddenly you remember something and you went back to the kitchen and you switch on the light - What happens?  , cockroaches begin to scatter.  Every agent of the devil that is hiding in your home, hiding in your offices, hiding in your churches, as you begin to shine, as the fire begins to burn, they will be exposed in Jesus’ Name! (Amen!)

So you need the fire, the fire of the Holy Spirit and we are going to call on that fire tonight. Be careful! Don’t lose your light! Your light has come now, don’t let sin take your light away, when they captured Samson, the first thing the enemy went for were his eyes. Why? Because the Bible says the eyes are the light of the body. They knew if they take his eyes away he won’t be able to shine again! Don’t lose your light! Don’t lay your head on the lap of Delilah! Don’t allow sin to kill your light! Serve God with the light He has given you. Use your talent so that it will not be taken from you. Let me round up by saying, anyone who has not given his life to Jesus has no light. Why? Because David said, the Lord is my light and my salvation! My light and my salvation. Anyone who is not saved has no light so if you are here tonight and you are not sure of your salvation, come and surrender to Jesus. Let Him become your light and your salvation.

I will count from 1-10. If you like you can come. If you like you can sit down in darkness, it is your choice. In darkness there’ll be cockroaches, there’ll be rats, if you remain in darkness witches and wizards can grind your nose into dust but if you come to the light of Jesus Christ things will change. Let Him become your light and your salvation! So if you want to give your life to Jesus, hurry up now! 1, 2, 3, the choice is yours. If you like come, if you like don’t come! 4,5, I know some of you are coming from a long distance. You better hurry up! The Lord is my light and my salvation. If you have no salvation you have no light. If you come to Jesus and you surrender your life to Him, He will give you salvation.

He will give you light. Come to Him now 7… 8… This is the day of salvation, if you want come, come. If you don’t want to come, the choice is yours. You can’t shine without light. You must have light for you to be able to shine. You cannot fight darkness unless you have light. You cannot be free from forces of darkness unless you have light and you cannot have light unless you have salvation. Jesus is the light of the world. You come to Him He will save your soul and He will become your light. 9… If you know you are coming this is the last count down. Those of you who are already here begin to cry to Him, Jesus save my soul! Become my light and my salvation! I will serve You for the rest of my life. Those of you, who are still coming, keep coming. We will wait a little before I pray. Keep coming! Those of us, who are already sure of our salvation, stretch your hands towards these people and please pray for them that the Almighty God who saved your soul, will save their own soul also! Pray for them, brethren! Intercede for them! Intercede for them! Intercede for them! Those of you, who are on the way, keep coming! Keep coming! Keep coming! Keep coming! Keep coming! Keep coming! This is your day of salvation.

Those of you in front open your mouth and talk to Jesus: Save my soul! Lord Save my soul! Become my light and my salvation! Save my soul! Almighty God Save my soul! Forgive my sin then I will serve You! I will serve You! I will serve You! Pray brethren! Open your mouth and talk to Him: say Father, Save my soul tonight and I will serve You! Those of you who are still coming; Keep coming! I’m about to pray now but Keep coming! This is your day of salvation, don’t miss this day! Don’t miss this day! Keep coming! Cry to Him! Lord Save my soul! Save my soul! Save my soul! Save my soul! Save my soul! Almighty God Have mercy on me! Become my light and my salvation and I will serve You for the rest of my life. Save my soul Lord! Those if you who are still coming I am waiting for you. Make sure you get here before I finish praying. I can see you running. Make sure you get here before I finish praying! Thank You Father! In Jesus’ mighty Name we have prayed! (Amen!)

Almighty God I thank You for the power in Your Word. Thank You! for those who have decided to respond to surrender their lives to You. Accept our thanks in Jesus’ Name! (Amen!). They have come to You now, receive them in Jesus’ Name! (Amen!) Forgive them in Jesus’ Name! (Amen!) Wash away their sins in Your blood in Jesus’ Name! (Amen!) Save their souls today Lord! Write their names in the Book of Life and from today be their light! From now on don’t let them go back into darkness! And whenever they call on You answer them in Jesus’ Name! (Amen!) Thank You Father! In Jesus’ mighty Name we have prayed! (Amen!)

Now those of you who have come forward, I rejoice with you and I want you to know in heaven Jesus is dancing because of you now, so let me hear you shout Alleluia!  And I want to promise you in the name of Jesus Christ and by the grace of God, from today, I will be praying for you and very soon you will begin to feel the impact of my prayers. (Amen!)

So I’m going to need your names, your address and your prayer request so I can be praying for you. So if you will follow this brother on my left who is waving a piece of wood, he will lead you to where some Pastors are waiting for you. They will collect this information from you and then they will bring you back. So let’s begin to go now. Let’s give the Lord a big round of applause for these people. Let’s clap for Jesus! Let’s do it with all our might!

How  many of you want to obey God? Arise and shine is a command. It is not an advice, it is not an appeal. And if I’m going to shine I must be a praise warrior, a giving warrior, a soul-winning warrior and a prayer warrior. How many of you are ready to pray? Then let’s stand on our feet. Now I know that normally when you shout Alleluia!, they hear in Shagamu but the people there need to know that things are different now that our light has come. When we shout now they should hear us in Ibadan! So let me hear somebody shout 'Alleluia! (Alleluia!)

Now lift your voice to the Almighty God. Remember I told you God said this year our prayers must be intense so lift your voice to Him and say Father, I want to shine for You. Give me the fire to shine for You! Open your mouth and talk to the Almighty God. I want to shine for You! I want to shine in the morning! I want to shine in the afternoon! I want to shine for You in the evening! I want to shine for You in my place of my work! I want to shine for You in my home! I want to shine for You in the church! Give me the fire power to shine for You! Talk to the Almighty! The world will see the glory of God in your life this year. So shall it be in Jesus’ Name! (Amen!)

Now before we begin to round up we want to pray for those who were born in January. So if you are a January child, stand up! Thank You Father! Father In the mighty Name of Jesus! we want to thank You for all Your children who were born in January. Thank You! that they have seen another January. Accept our thanks on their behalf in Jesus’ Name! (Amen!) Father January is the beginning of a new Year, all these Your children give them a new beginning, (Amen!) a new beginning of joy, of success, of progress, of promotion, of a closer walk with you! Let it be well with them this year like never before. (Amen!) Prosper them in all their ways. (Amen!) Protect them from evil O Lord and every prayer they pray this year, answer them by fire in Jesus’ Name! (Amen!) Thank You Father! In Jesus’ mighty Name we have prayed! (Amen!) January children let me hear you shout Alleluia!(Alleluia!) Amen! How many people have really been blessed tonight? How many of you know that this is going to be definitely a very superior year? Let me hear you shout Alleluia!’ (Alleluia!) Now we want to thank our God and this year I want to encourage you, stop giving to God offerings that will be an insult to Him. He said in His word, whatever you cannot offer your governor we shouldn’t offer it to Him. When we want to say thank You to Him, but for the fact that we are so many, I would have said that they should just put the basket there and let us dance forward and drop our offerings so that only those who want to give cheerfully will give. But if we are to do that it will take a long time. So even though you are seated, dance even as you are giving to God. Give to Him cheerfully and give Him something that shows that you are really grateful. He said, one of the prophecies of this year for example is that the generous will have cause to smile and I believe that throughout this year I am going to be smiling. So will it be with you in Jesus' Name!
