Thank You Lord.

Well, let us lift our hands to the most High God and praise Him.

Give Him glory and honour; He is worthy to be praised.

He is the great I AM, the I AM THAT I AM, the Unchangeable changer, all power belong to Him.

When He opens no man can shut, when He shut no man can open; when He kills nobody can make alive, and when He makes alive nobody can kill.

He is the Beginning of all beginnings, the End of all endings.

Praise Him.

Give Him glory, give Him honour.

He loves you so praise Him

Worship Him tonight let Him hear you.

Thank You Father.

Father we are here tonight we are trembling in hope, somehow, we know this day is going to make a major difference in our lives, and all that we are asking is that You glorify Your name, do what only You can do.

In Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

Well, let somebody shout hallelujah.

Okay, you may be seated.

2Kings chapter 2 from verse 6 to 12:

This is a story that is very very important that forms the foundation for this Congress and you can read from verse 1, but let us take it from verse.

6 And Elijah said unto him, Tarry, I pray thee, here; for the LORD hath sent me to Jordan. And he said, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. And they two went on.

7 And fifty men of the sons of the prophets went, and stood to view afar off; and they two stood by Jordan.

8And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground.

9And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me.

10 And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so.

11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

12 And Elijah saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.

What is Double Portion?

Normally, it is the inheritance that father give to his first born.

If you read Deuteronomy 21 verse 15 to 17, it is a commandment of the Lord that when a father is distributing his inheritance the first born must get a double portion.

Of course, when you go through the scripture you will discover not all the first born got it.

Esau did not get the double portion.

There was another situation in Genesis 48 from verse 8 to 20, when God wanted to transfer that double portion to the younger brother instead the first born – story about Ephraim and Manasseh.

And then the first question that comes to our mind: can I get it then since I am not the first of born of my parent?

Well, glory be to God.

According to Romans chapter 8 verse 29, Jesus Christ is the first born of our Father and He got it.

And Romans chapter 8 from verse 16 to 17, the Bible made it clear if you are child of God, then you are a joint heir with Jesus Christ.

That means whatever Jesus got, you can get it also.

I am believing God for someone tonight that you are going to get a double portion.

But I am going to be very brief tonight because I don’t want us to delay that great moment.

There is a lot that we can discuss about double portion.

As a matter of fact, is likely to take us the whole of next year to finish the topic.

The Holy Ghost Services next year, the one in January will be Wonderful part one, the one in February will be Wonderful part two, and so on and so forth.

And then the Sunday afternoon sermons that we relay to you via Dove Media, is also going to be based on this issue of double portion.

So, if I am brief tonight is because there is still a lot to come.

Now, what do you need double portion for? What does it do to you? If you get tonight, what are the things that will be the results?

The first thing that it will do for you is that it will activate your potential – all things that God has deposited in you that has been waiting for manifestation.

The moment you get the double portion, even you will be amazed, as you begin to see these things manifest.

In 1Kings chapter 19 verse 19 to 21, the mantle of Elijah had falling on Elisha before and Elisha was busy ploughing and Elijah was passing by and he cast his mantle on him but he took it back.

And the moment that mantle touched Elisha that day it has been settled that this fellow will be the next prophet; but Elisha waited more than three years before he finally got the mantle.

May I prophesy to somebody tonight, every prophesy that had ever come your way will become fulfilled from tonight.

The second thing that will happen as soon as you get the double portion is like Elisha, you will soon be seeing the invincible, God will begin to open your eyes and you will begin to see marvelous things.

You see, the Bible says in Proverbs chapter 20 verse 12, says the hearing ear and the seeing eyes the Lord has made both of them.

That means there are eyes that cannot see, not that they are blind, they cannot see spiritual things; and there are ears that can no hear spiritual things.

And I am believing God for you, as a result of this congress, you will begin to see the invincible, you will begin to hear the inaudible.

And then the next thing that will happen if you get the double portion, you will find out from verse 13 to 15 of 2Kings chapter 2 – 2Kings chapter 2 from verse 13 to 15

The Bible says the Elisha took the mantle that fell from Elijah, went back Jordan, roll the clothe like his father did that day, and smote the river and suddenly the river parted.

Now, there are so many things here:

Elisha has received power now, mighty power, but he was on the wrong side of the Jordan.

Where is ministry was supposed to be is on the other side of Jordan.

After he got that double portion, the number obstacle to entering into his destiny was Jordan, and he parted that same day.

In the name that is above every other name, that very destiny of yours, the very reason for which God created will begin to manifest after tonight, and you will cross over into your destiny.

Maybe for you to understand this, I thought God wanted me to be a Vice Chancellor, that’s what I thought, that’s what I wanted; I wanted to be the youngest Vice Chancellor in Africa.

But that was not my destiny, my destiny is standing before you – I am preaching His gospel.

Several things had happened in my life that will never have happened if I had remained on the other side of Jordan.

I don’t want to waste time telling you stories tonight,

But I have visited a nation before and I wanted to see the head of state and they told me fifteen minutes; and I said that is enough I just want to pray for him.

After two hours I had to beg them him, your majesty or your Excellency, your people are waiting!

He said let them wait, I have heard of you; they have people they can talk to, I don’t have, and I don’t know when you are coming back; now that you are here, you must give me answer to my questions.

After another one, finally, I got away.

On our way to the car, I said to my wife, who am I, but for Jesus Christ that the President will said you cannot go.

The purpose which God made you, after tonight you will enter into it.

And then, he crossed river Jordan, suddenly, he joined a certain club of the high and mighty - he joined the club of Moses who crossed the Red Sea,

He joined the club of Joshua who crossed river Jordan,

He joined the club of Elijah who has also crossed river Jordan.

Whether believe it or not, and I know you are believer that is while you are here, before very long you will be dinning with the high and mighty.

And when I am talking about the high and mighty, I am not just talking about those in Political power, I am talking about the high and mighty spiritually.

You heard the testimony of that little girl; I was dancing on my chair when she was testifying:

Baby in the womb died, mother died, and her mother own was saying look at you, you are the one who brought me to Christ and the little girl said God, don’t shame me.

Haa! Glory be to God!

There is somebody tonight, my God will see to it that you never know shame again.

 He joined the club of the high and mighty.

And then as he crossed that river, those who were his peers before – sons of the prophet - who were teasing him: Papa favorite boy, your father is going today, we will see what will become of you; they came and bowed.

That is what is called supernatural acceleration.

He woke up that morning as a son of the prophet, by the time he was going to bed, he was a prophet.

I would have said something to you but I am afraid to say it because I have great respects for the prophets.

Although and I know there are many of them who are liars, but I don’t what that office I am satisfy with being a pastor.

Because the office of a prophet is a very dangerous one: if you say God said, when God did not say; meh! You come face to face with God.

But let me take courage and say that as a result of tonight’s meeting, many prophets will arise among you.

He woke up in the morning as son of the prophet, and by time he was the prophet; all his peers came bowing down, in less than twenty-four hours,

He takes God just a brief moment to cause you to excel far far beyond the reach of your peers.

By the time you return next year you will have a testimony.

One of my colleagues was speaking, we were having a meeting, far away from here, it was a very important meeting, I had to attend, it was not easy for me, so I had to hire a helicopter to go.

He said, yes, we were classmate but we have not of the class. He said all of us came here on land, you came by air, you are above us.

I decree to somebody tonight, very soon, your peers will say, you are well well above us.

And then, not long after that, something happened, after he had crossed over to the other side of Jordan.

In 2Kings chapter 2…

Thank You Lord.

The Lord said there is a woman here, He said you have four daughters, up till now none of them have married, Daddy asked me to tell you, all four will be married next year.

In 2Kings chapter 2 from verse 23 to 24, the Bible says as Elisha was going on the Bethel, some children began to mock him because he was bald headed; and so, there were saying bald headed man get away from here,

Then he turned, and issued a decree, he placed a curse on them.

And as soon as he finished speaking, two she bears came out of nowhere and silenced the mockers.

By the time this night is over one of things you will be able to do, I might remember to tell you to do it after we finished but before you get into your vehicle, I will want you to make a decree that everything that had been mocking you will be not be there when you get back home.

Daddy asks me to tell somebody, He said those of who pursing you will run into a barricade of fire.

Now, when he silenced the mockers, we see in action the proclamation of God in Psalm 105 from verse 14 to 15, that is while where God said: touch not My anointed and do My prophets no harm.

God demonstrated there that when you see someone under heavy anointing you should be careful how you deal with them because they carry a power that is like a high-tension electricity wire.

After tonight, if any evil force tries to touch you, they will fried.

Like I said, we will be discussing some details in the new year; but there is something still beautiful even in that story:

It shows that when you are carrying this double portion anointing, for the rest of your life God will begin to outsmart Satan.

You know, Satan was expecting somebody like Elijah to be the one who could possibly take over, but Elijah was a hairy man – hair all over his body; head, beard…

And her comes a man, Elisha, he was even bald headed.

You know, when you have this double portion, when the enemy is waiting for you on the right, you will surface on the left;

If they are planning for you in the morning, you will surface in the evening.

But the one I like most about that story of the mockers is that Elisha just went on and continue to perform miracles; the bald head did not grow.

‘The handy cap’ as it were did not stop him from going higher.

For example, in Exodus chapter 4 …

Thank You Father.

The Lord asked me to tell someone specifically, He said in less than two years from now, there would be no sign left that your family had ever suffered.

In Exodus chapter 4 from verse 10 to 12, Moses told God, I am stammerer!

How can You send me to Pharoah? I have been stammering before I met You, now I met You the mouth is still stammering.

Lord says who cares; and by the time I finish with you, you will become a god to Pharaoh.

Everything that had been hindering you, everything that had been hindering your testimony, it will be gone tonight.

Some of you will remember the testimony, the elders here will remember the story of one of our midwives.

Hundred percent illiterate, cannot speak a word of English; she was in the maternity center alone and a woman came to deliver and she cannot speak a word of Yoruba,

So, the midwives said what am I going to do now?

How am I going to communicate with this woman? And nobody else is around.

Told God, over to You; and turned to the woman and wanted to tell her by signs, I will try with my hands to tell you what to do; and she turned to her, she began to speak English, fluent English.

By the following morning, delivering had taken place, all is now well, other people had come, and she could not speak English anymore.

Everything that had been hindering you, the double portion will roast them now.

And then, even more importantly, the double portion is double because portion one is to take care of your problem,

And portion two is for you to turn to blessing; you will now become blessing to many.

You will become what they call a ‘go-to’ person for help.

Thank You Father.

The Lord asked me to tell somebody, the people who promised to help you had been telling you we are busy now, we are busy now; God asked me to tell you, ignore them I will help you Myself.

In 2Kings chapter 3 from verse 9 to 20, some kings have problems and came to Elisha,

When they ran into a problem, one of them said is there no prophet in the land?

I want to say amen to this one.

The Lord says because My arms are everlasting arms, I will keep lifting you up forever.

In 2Kings chapter 3…

Thank You Lord.

The Lord (and I am saying amen to this before I tell you), Daddy says the siege against all your children is over now.

And mark my word, Daddy says the one who is planning a siege against your children will die.

This is getting interesting.

There is a story that some of you have heard before.

You know, we are having a programme at Ebute-Metta, and the word of God came that there was a lady in the congregation that the mother is behind her not getting married.

So, God said if the mother does not change, she will die within a week.

The following day I was in my office when one lady came in with the mother; and the mother was furious;

Are you the Pastor?

I said yes Ma.

You are the one who said I will die?

I said, I did not say anything like that!

That was what my daughter said you said.

Haa! I said, did I mention anybody’s name.

What did I say?

So, the girl repeated the word of God.

I said Mama, don’t mind this girl, I did not mention anybody’s name!

And she said is that so?

I said yes ma.

She said in the case, girl you go out.

She went out.

And then she turned to me, that thing which you said, is it true?

Haa! Mama is not you o!

But as God lives, any mother standing in the way of the daughter’s marriage will die within a week.

Well, the point is the she is the one looking after me, and if she marries now who will take care of me?

What kind of mama is this?

You married before you can give birth to her and you want to stop her from having her own family!

Anyways she did whatever she needed to do, and the daughter got married within six months.

Now, the reason why God asked me to tell you that story, as God lives, if there is anybody standing in the ways of my daughters that is not allowing them to marry, that fellow will not see the new year.

I did not plan to tell stories tonight, but Daddy is speaking.

Some of you will remember the story, a young man, always doing well in his place of work, and when it is time for promotion they will forget him.

And then word came when we were in the very first auditorium: He said there is someone here, somebody close to you is about to die, don’t sorrow, because he has to be moved out of the way for you to make progress.

The following week, the father of the young man died, the boy got rapid promotion.

I decree now, in the Name that is above every other name, anyone hindering your progress, because of the double portion anointing that fellow will not see the new year.

But very quickly, the double portion, portion one is to take care of your problem, and the second portion is to make you a blessing.

But because you will suddenly become a yoke destroyer.

When you read 2Kings chapter 2 from verse 19 to 22, the people of Jericho came to Elisha and they told him, sorry sir, we have a problem in our city, (you know the rest of the story)

In less than one hour, the problem of the city was over.

The problem in all your cities, by the time you get home and you make a decree, the problems will be over.

In 2Kings chapter 4 from verse 1 to 7, when there was a widow who was destitute, by the double portion anointing that was on Elisha, the yoke of poverty was destroyed.

Some of you have heard this one before:

A woman came to us, completely destituted, we prayed for her and when she was going back, she said man of God, I know I am the one who is supposed to bring you a gift but I don’t even have money to transport myself back.

So, I said, what are you saying?

Unless you give me money I cannot go back.

So, took the little I had, and I make a pronouncement, and gave her the money, I said this money will never finish.

That was June, by August she came here bringing a big cow for the convention - the money has never finished.

In the Name that is above every other name, whatever money you have left will never finish.

With double portion anointing, you have that anointing that makes you a yoke destroyer that can destroy the yoke of barrenness.

You know, in the mighty name of Jesus, in all our churches, barrenness will be totally forgotten.

In 2Kings chapter 4 from 8 to 17, you know the story of the Shunamite woman…

Hallelujah! O hallelujah!

Amen and amen.

The Almighty God is saying to somebody, He said because My name is I AM THAT I AM I will make sure your success story last a thousand years.

Amen. Amen.

Daddy says I will arise for you tonight and every opposition to your destiny will be scattered.

Anyway, the anointing of Elisha destroys the yoke of barrenness in the Shunamite woman.

In 2Kings chapter 5 from verse 1 to 14, the double portion anointing on Elisha destroyed the yoke of reproach in the life of Naaman.

But probably the significant I cannot dodge is that the double portion anointing can out last you.

You know, in 2Kings chapter 13 from verse 14 to 21,

I am claiming this for all of you because God is saying there is someone here tonight, the coming year will be a year of continuous celebration for you.

Okay! maybe we should just let God do the rest.

Because Daddy says there is someone here and He said you will understand, that you have been shaking the throne of heaven, crying to Him, open this door Lord that my joy may be full. God asked me to tell you, before the sun rises the door will be wide open.

Anyway, Elisha was sick, even when he was on his death bed, he was decreeing what will happen to a nation.

His anointing lasted, he did not become an ex-prophet; his character was not soiled; his good name was maintained; and even when he died his bone still raise the dead.

I decree to every one of us here tonight, you will end well; you will end strong. Even after you are gone, people will get answer to their prayers by calling on your God.

Let me get out of the way so that God can do what He wants to do.

Here comes a question: who can get the double portion of anointing?

The double portion you are going to get tonight is not of the anointing on Elijah, is going to be anointing on the Lord Jesus Christ.

Who can get it?

One: it has to be somebody who is faithful to the end – faithful to his father to the end.

I always shake my head in sorrow when somebody who had been pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God will come to me and say God has given me a vision to go and start my own ministry;

And I will say yes sir.

And you will always remain my father.

I say yes sir.

Congratulations Sir; may I shake hands with the new G.O.

Faithful to the end – that is what Revelation chapter 2 verse 10 says.

He has to be somebody who is single minded.

Elisha did not say give me this and then this, just one thing.

It has to be somebody who is focused.

He knew what he wanted.

People have asked me again and again when all manner of people begin to criticized, some of them even claimed to be prophet, they would say daddy you know the truth about this matter why don’t you talk?

While waste your energy when you know where you are going.

The elders have a saying:

You know, there is this vegetable they call bitter leaf, very bitter – that why they call it better leaf; and there is another one that is called sugar cane,

The elders have a saying, they said the same rain that fell on bitter leaf, is the one that fell on sugar cane.

Some people are made to be better; some are made to be sweet,

Which one is your choice?

Bitter leaf or sugar cane?

Someone said to me, what I don’t like about you; I like your sermons but what I don’t like about you is when you begin to say there is someone here and you are always saying good things.

Haa! I said for example.

He said, you said there is someone here you will never weep again.

What do you want me to say?

I can only say what God wants me to say.

For the rest of your life, you won’t know sorrow.

I told him, go ahead, go and be prophesying death and destruction; that is not the one God gave me, I can only say what He says.

And in the mighty name of Jesus Christ all of those who are genuinely my children it shall be well with you.

But almost more than anything else, the one who is going to get the double portion, must be focused, he knows what he wants, and will do whatever it takes to get it.

I visited a country not too long ago, and there were group of people talking - a Panel to discuss, and they were saying: young people no longer coming to church in their own country.

I said, I heard you but I don’t know.

And they gave reasons: they say the love the message but they don’t like the messengers.

I say I see; those people don’t have purpose.

Do you come to church because of the pastor?

And they said some of the pastors are old fashioned.

God is old fashioned! His name is Ancient of days! He has nothing against the old ones!

They said they like to go to new generation churches.

I said that is okay, as long as they would get to heaven.

They said because the youngers ones they speak their language.

I said that is good.

But there is only one language that I know that God speaks and that is the language of the Holy Spirit – the language of power.

And I know when it comes to tongues, it does not matter whether you are old or you are young.

***speaking in the Holy Ghost*** has same power in the mouth of the old and the mouth of the young.

Then they said the younger ones are radicals.

I said well, you don’t even know what is called radicality.

Ask about me, and they will tell you!

When I want to start modern parishes in Lagos, I started using hotels.

When I ran of hotels, I started using night clubs.

My friends said I was backsliding; how can you be holding church services in night clubs?

I said night clubs are always empty on Sunday morning; those who come to drink they are sleeping at home, so, the place is empty ready for use.

But they said, alcohol, alcohol.

I said another name for alcohol is spirits.

Then we go there is the morning and ask the Holy Spirit to chase out the other spirit, and souls were getting saved.

I told those people who are beginning to put pressure on me, I told them I have not even reach where I am going,

I say I am going to be looking for Imams who will agree with me that they can use my church on Friday and allow me to use their mosques on Sunday.

Don’t tell me you know the meaning of radicalism.

Let me make you clear to those of you who say I can seat down at home and watch every sermon on television, it means you don’t know where you are going, you have no focus at all.

Why go to church?

I can listen to all sermon on YouTube

God commanded it, He says you must not forsake the assembly together of one another – that is one.

Two: He says iron sharpeneth iron.

Three: the bigger the fire, the hotter.

When we gather together and we shout hallelujah, the noise is so much that the devil is frightened.

When I seat down at home, I can shout hallelujah too.

Who is going to hear you?

Seat down at home, drinking tea, saying you are watching the sermon on YouTube or whatever-tube, and you grow cold, little by little.

By the time the word of God that has do with your case come, by the time you want to say amen there is tea in your mouth, instead of amen, is going to ‘hum’.

When God wants to send a word to you directly, you have gone to the toilet, and before you know it, little by little, you will become cold.

When the devil wants to bring down a big man of God, he does not do it suddenly, he will leak your tank a drop at a time; a drop at a time.

I thank God for those of you who are here tonight, as you shout your next hallelujah every yoke in your life will be destroy.

That brings me to the conclusion.

So, you are going to pray a very violent prayer before we leave here tonight.

The one who wants a double portion must be ready for a new beginning – brand new beginning.

When Elisha woke that morning, he did not know that his life was about to change forever, but he was ready.

If you want a brand-new beginning, it has to start with salvation, and I mean genuine one.

Not the kind of salvation that you would you are coming for and you are laughing;

Not the kind of salvation that you say you are coming for and all you want to come and do is to come and take the picture of the G.O.

I am talking of the salvation that even before you get to the altar, you have already say bye-bye to all those who are your mates in sin.

Because things will never be the same again after tonight.

So, those of you who want to give your life to Jesus Christ and you really mean business, I am going to count from one to twenty because I can see some of you very far away. Before is say twenty, run forward.

This is not an ordinary night; this one is a night of all nights.

So, if you want to give your life to Jesus Christ, if you are ready for a new beginning, begin to come now. Run forward as I count.

One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen,

Now, those of you who are still on the way hurry up please, and those of you who are already in front let us cry unto the Almighty God: Lord, save my soul, help me, I am ready for a brand-new beginning, a new beginning in You, let Your blood wash away my sins, let me become a true child of the living God today; I promise You I will service You for the rest of my life.

Cry unto the Almighty God.

And the rest of us let us stretch our hands to our new brothers and sisters and intercede for them that the one who saved our own souls will save their own souls also. Pray for them Brethren.

Pray for them.

If there is any one on the way, you better come now because I am about to pray.

Hurry up, hurry up, I can see one or two of you.

Cry to Him, Lord, save my own, give me a genuine salvation; I don’t want to have anything to do with the devil anymore, have mercy on me Lord, have mercy on me.

Keep coming, keep coming I can see you; I know you have been run and you not tired, just keep coming.

Thank You Father.

In Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

My Father and my God I want to bless Your name, I want to thank You for Your word, I want to thank You for those who have come forward tonight to surrendered their lives to You; Father, please receive them, have mercy on them, let Your blood wash away their sins, please save their souls, receive them into the family of God. From now on, anytime they cry unto You, please answer them by fire. Thank You Almighty God.

In Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

Now, I rejoice with those of you who have come forward. I want to promise you that from now on I will be praying for you. And so, I am going to need your names, your address and your prayer request.

The Counselors will give you a card, please fill it very quickly and return to them and then you can go back to your seat, and we will be in contact with you. God bless you.

Alright, the rest of us we can keep on worshiping God while we wait for our new brothers and sisters to finish.

You are going to be praying in the next minute or two.

I want you to keep in mind that the day that Elisha got double portion, there were many sons of the prophet, they all knew something is going to happen but only one fellow got the double portion.

You are going to pray like you have never prayed before.

I have told you before: one day, on this camp, around this time between 2 and 3am, I was alone walking up and down in the jungle, and the people around with me were the carpenters.

I cried to God, because I know what I want.

I cried to Him: is either You empower me or take me home.

I was minding my business a lecturer when you call me, and You say You have destiny for me. I need the power – is either You give it to me or take me home.

And God heard and the ground of this camp ground shook – and there was a little earthquake.
