Thank You Father.

Glory be to God.

Well, let us lift our hands to the most and begin to bless His holy name.

Bless the King of kings and the Lord of lords

Worship the Ancient of days; give Him glory, give Him honour, give Him adoration.

Thank Him for all He has done for you since the beginning of the year.

Lift Him up; let Him hear your voice.

Give Him glory, give Him honour; bless the King of kings and the Lord of lords.

Thank You my Father.

Glory be to Your holy name.

Thank You Lord.

Thank You Lord.

Blessed be Your holy name Lord.

In Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

Then, lift your voice to Him and say: Father, tonight, in a very special way, visit me.

Go ahead and talk to the Almighty.

In a very very special way Lord, visit me tonight; visit me tonight; in a very very special way, please visit me tonight. Thank You Daddy. Glory be to Your holy name.

Father Almighty we bless Your name. King of kings, Lord of lords, the great Physician, the Lord of host, the Great Provider, the Prince of peace; glory be to Your holy name; accept our worship in Jesus’ name.

Father, thank You for January, thank You for February, thank You for March, thank You for April, thank You for May, thank You for June, thank You for July, thank You for August, thank You for September, Lord, thank You for October, accept our thanks in Jesus’ name.

Father thank You for the Elders, fathers in the house, thank You for the mothers in the house, thank You for the Youth, thank You for the young adult, thank You for the children, Father accept our thanks in Jesus’ name.

Father tonight, like You have never done before, visit all of us; give us a pleasant surprise; give us a miracle we will never forget; let Your light shine; banish darkness from our lives; banish darkness from our homes, banish darkness from Nigeria, banish darkness from the whole world; and at the end of it all Father take all the glory and give us overflowing blessings.

In Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

Let someone shout hallelujah.

Shake hands with one or two people and say good evening, God will surprise you tonight.

And if you believe that shout a big hallelujah to God.

Matthew chapter 5 from verse 14 to 16:

Thank You Father.

Stand on your feet: Daddy asked me to tell you to shake hands with two or three people to say good morning. He says a day better than the days you have ever known is about to dawn.

Oh my my, if I were you I will say good morning to that fellow.

You can please be seated.

Thank You my Father.

Matthew 5 from verse 14 to 16:

14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

I told my children yesterday that I am the light of the world by divine decree – God said so, and so there is nothing anybody can do about that.

If God says so, you are light.

How many lights are here today?

Shout hallelujah.

15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

We have been asked during this convention to discuss: Shine forth.

To fully understand the meaning of Shine Forth even though my children have given us some very wonderful definition.

You need to know that there is a different between show off and shine forth.

When somebody is showing off, is drawing attention to himself.

For example, you are rich and since you cannot write the amount of money you have on your forehead, you can show off by the way you dress.

I mean, I used to know someone who had rings on the fingers on both hands – all manners of expensive diamond rings; he just wants to show off: here comes the wealthy man.

The peacock, you that bird called Peacock, when she sees people coming, she show off to let people see how beautiful she can be.

That is different from shine forth.

One of my children mentioned a very good example of shinning forth: you stay where you are and you reach out to others.

When you shining forth you are reaching out to help others.

The sun someone there in the universe and from there it stretched forth light.

Another simple illustration would be the mango tree (I am just picking it as one of the fruit trees), I am sure you know the mango tree does not eat mango;

The tree does not eat the fruit it produces, but when the mango fruit is ripe, it turns beautifully yellow.

You know what the mango tree is saying?

It is saying the table is set, come and eat.

I have prepared mango fruits, it is now ready to be eating that is why it is looking yellow, come and eat.

So, shine forth, is like saying, the table is set, I have something I have provided for other to come and enjoy.

So, like I told those of you who came to Holy Communion service yesterday, show forth means fulfil your purpose; you are created for a purpose.

Your hands were created by God to do certain things for Him.

Well, thank God for some people who already got that one.

God loves music, He loves music, that is while in spite of the millions billions of angels in the mass choir of heaven, God still says I AM still looking for worshippers;

God is still saying clap your hands all ye people.

Thank you very much.

And He even said you should shout.

In other words, even if you cannot sing like birds, He asked you to at least go ahead and make a joyful noise to the Lord.

And that is while I can confidently prophesy to those of you who have voice problems, the Almighty God would take care of that; but He has other uses for your hands,

He wants you to reach forth with that hand, lay it on the sick and see them recover.

He said it in His word, if you believe Me, you will lay on the sick (and what will happen to them?) they will recover.

Shine forth is fulfil your purpose; fulfil destiny.

He is saying you have light, show it through your works, so that at the end of the day, God your Father will be glorified.

 I won’t take too much of your time at this particular time, but I believe it is God wants to turn some people vessels unto honour.

Like one of my children said, it is because God wants to bring some people out of obscurity.

It does not matter how many degrees you have or you don’t have;

It does not even matter even if you have never went to school, if you would lay hand on the sick and they get healed, people will gather unto you.

One of my children said something, he said shine forth means ‘become a necessity’ - I like that.

That was good man!

‘Become a necessity’ means become somebody that people cannot do without.

The road side mechanic is a necessity.

You see him by the roadside dress in the dirty cloth and you the big man coming in your Rose Royce, and the Rose Royce…, let me come down to something small

Because if Rose Royce parked up, they won’t allow you to take it to roadside mechanic; they would rather send somebody from Britain to come and repair it.

If you Mercedes should parked up, that fellow you looked at as dirty mechanic becomes a necessity to you; whether you like it or not, you have to park, get out and allow him take a look.

Become a necessity - become somebody that when you travel everybody in the house will know you travelled.

When you are not in church, they will know that somebody is absent today.

God is saying from now become a necessity.

Let me hear somebody shout hallelujah.

Let us take examples:

I believed you have been healed; and if you have not been healed, be heal now in Jesus’ name.

But how will God be glorified by your healing; you have health because you have met the Lord Jesus Christ the healer.

He expects you to do certain with health that you have:

Number one: He wants you to praise Him and do it loudly.

In Luke chapter 17 from verse 11 to 19, there were ten lepers that Jesus cleansed, one came back praising God loudly – announcing to the world I have been cleansed.

You see, the word of God says in Psalm 50 verse 23, He said whoso offereth praise, glorifies Me.

Some of us have lost miracles because we did not testify; we got the miracle and kept it to ourselves.

If He heals you, you are supposed to say; you are supposed to praise Him, you are supposed to tell others.

For example, in Mark chapter 1 verse 40 to 45,

Thank You Daddy.

The Lord asks me to tell someone, that someone will be more than quiet a crowd, He said your blood is disease, He said I will flush out that diseased blood out of your system and replace it with fresh blood.

In Mark 1 verse 40 to 45, Jesus cleansed a leper, He even told him don’t tell anyone, just go to the Priest, tell the Pastor alone, don’t tell anyone else.

The man said thank You Sir, how can I keep quiet?

The Bible said he went to town and began to tell everybody, he was telling everybody.

You know what!

He was never leprosy again.

He expects you, after you have been healed, number one, He expects you to praise Him,

He expects you, number two, to testify.

Psalm 89 verse 1 says with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generation.

Testify!

Then He expects you to serve Him.

Matthew chapter 8 from verse 14 to 16, the Bible tells us Jesus came into to Peter’s house and found the mother-in-law sick of fever, He took her by hand and heal her.

As soon as she was healed, she arose and began to minister to Jesus Christ.

He wants you to use the strength, the health, that you have receive from Him, to minister unto Him so that others will be able to come for their own healing.

You praise Him, you testify, and you minister to Him.

For example,

There was one of my daughters, in glory now; much much older than I, old enough to be my mother, but she had this very serious health issue.

And then she came to Jesus Christ and the Lord healed her, and she said haha, is it a joke!

No, is true.

I am well now?

Yes!

Everything they said I should not eat I can eat them now?

He has healed you.

She said fine, I will show Him my appreciation.

How many of you will be grateful if God give you a miracle.

How about shouting hallelujah just to show Him.

You know what she did?

Is someone many of you know.

She went to town, Port Harcourt, give us a house, she said this church must be in Port Harcourt, there are several people here who need healing.

So, we started a church, and very soon the church was full.

She gave a second house – that one was full.

She gave a third…

And one day she came to me and said Daddy…,

You know, one funny thing is that if you are servant of God, people who are old enough to be your mother would be calling you Daddy.

Daddy, I said yes Ma.

She said I need your permission; she said I want to pay tithe, I want to pay twenty percent.

She said I have wasted a lot of money throwing parties; I got nothing from it, now Jesus has healed me, I am not going to pay ten percent, I will pay twenty.

I said, permission granted.

She lived for many more years, and she kept on doing more, and more, and more for God.

I pray for somebody here tonight, from this moment onward you won’t know sickness again.

But you know what you must do!

Praise Him, testify and serve Him.

And then, number four, follow Him.

In Mark chapter 10 verse 46 to 52,

Oh thank You my Father.

The Lord says there is a woman here, the baby in your womb had been quiet for days, no movement at all; but the Lord asked me to tell you, before we finish shouting the next hallelujah, the baby will be kicking again.

Would you please help me shout a big hallelujah.

Thank you.

Sister we will be waiting for your testimony very soon.

In Mark chapter 10 verse 46 to 52, after God healed Bartimaeus, the Bible said, he followed Him.

He followed Jesus all the way.

When He has healed you, shine forth by praising Him, by testifying, by serving Him, by following Him.

Supposed you are delivered, and I believe you are, because you already know the truth.

John chapter 8 verse 32 and 36 says you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free; He says whosoever the Son shall set free shall be free indeed.

What are you supposed to do with your deliverance, with your freedom?

Apart from praising Him, again He expects you to minister to Him.

Luke chapter 8 verse 1 to 3, the Bible tells us about certain women including Mary Magdalen who was a chief among witches, they ministered to her out of their substance.

Why?

So that Jesus can reach others who need deliverance; so He can get to the land of the Gadarenes.

In Luke chapter 8 verse 26 to 40 where He can then deliver a man who had a legion of demons and that man responded by witnessing to everybody in the city.

You people you know me!

I was that mad man over there; you could not pass by the grave side because I was there,

I am the same fellow! Jesus is the One who set me free!

You know the story.

And you know that after Jesus set the man free, people were so afraid that they told Jesus to leave, we don’t need this kind of miracle in our area.

But because of this man who was set free, who won’t hide it, the Bible says by the time Jesus came back the whole city was gathered to receive Him.

Testify, minister unto Him, that is way you shine your light so that your Father in heaven may be glorify.

In brief, because there are certain things God wants to do tonight, shine forth means you have been blessed become a blessing.

That is what shine forth means – you have been blessed become a blessing.

I have turned you to light, show the light for others.

The lamb is not shining for itself, it shining for the people in the house.

When God was calling Abraham in Genesis chapter 12 from verse 1 to 3, He said I will bless you, become a blessing.

It is a better thing to be a blessing than just to be blessed.

You become a blessing means your blessing is overflowing to others.

Shine forth means overflow.

You are rich, spend and be spent.

According to 2Corinthians chapter 12 verse 15 – spend and be spent.

Deuteronomy chapter 28 verse 12 says you are to lend to nations.

Thank God that somebody got that one.

But the way to lend to nation is out of the very little you have – you stretch forth.

People keep on saying Nigeria is poor, Nigeria is poor, they are correct in a sense –

I don’t want to talk about all the bad news we here; I have spoken about some of them before, I feel I better keep my mouth shut.

But the amount we pay in interest on the debt that we owe, according to world monetary fund, as now rich a stage where the interest we pay on our debt is more than our income.

God have mercy on us.

He will have mercy on us, don’t worry about that.

And yet, by the grace of God, from the Redeemed Christian Church of God alone, we are blessing nation.

We have missionaries in more than one hundred and ninety nations of the world;

And our missionaries over there, we pay their house rent, we send them money for food, we pay the school fees of their children so that those people can hear about Jesus.

We are lending to nations because we are willing to shine forth.

When you are rich, spend and be spent.

When you are strong, help the weak.

Romans chapter 15 verse 1 He says those of you who are strong, bear the infirmities of the weak.

Help the weak carry their burdens

That is shine forth.

Are you saved?

He wants you to shine forth by bring salvation to others, beginning from members of your family.

John chapter 1 from verse 40…

Thank You Father.

This is a big one. I don’t know who

God says there is someone listening to me (I might even be the one, I don’t know) He says there is a major catastrophe that was about to happen to your family but it has been cancelled.

In John chapter 1 from verse 40 to 42, the Bible tells us as soon as the Andrew found Jesus, he ran to his brother Simon and say come we have found the Messiah, come along with me.

As soon as I got born again, I said every member of my family they must be born-again too.

The first Redeemed Christian Church of God that I ever build is at Ife-wara, because charity begins at home.

I had no money to build one,

So, what did I do?

There was this cocoa house, cocoa store that had not been used of years, I begged the person to let me rent it and use it as a church.

He said is lying down there useless; you want to rent?

I say how much sir?

He gave me one funny amount, the place had been empty, not bringing in anything.

And I paid the rent for seventeen years in advance so that after I have repaired it, he won’t wake up one morning and quickly say he wants to take it back.

After I finished that church at Ifewara, the next place I went in corporation with uncle of mine who also got born-again was Oke-igbo - I went to my roots to start a branch.

And for your information, by the special grace of God, the first house I ever built in life, at Ilesha, I handed it over to God to be used as a branch.

Charity must begin at home.

Some of us had been born again for ten years and there is no branch of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in your village.

Hey! You must shine forth; you must do something very soon; do something before the new year, and the Almighty God will help you.

After I have done that and realised many of relatives will not come to any of these churches, they don’t like our noise, and so on and so forth, I had to think of a way to bring them together.

And I believe God is saying this somebody so you can learn, because one of my boys said if your light is shining through the light supply by God, you would shine forever.

So, I know that by the grace of God I am shining now, but I am going to shine forever.

How many of you would want to shine forever?

So, I decided to call a party that will involve every member of my family – father side, mother side, grandmother side, grandfather side, everybody.

And sent out an invitation to all of them: I just got my P.hD, I want to celebrate, some people would want to come for that.

I have just built my house, (is a mud bungalow, but a house is a house) I want to do house warming, some people will come for that.

What was the third thing?

I just bought a car – is second hand o! – and I want to celebrate, some people would come for that.

But I told them, I want you all to come a spend a night with me.

What kind of celebration do you want to do that you have to arrive a day before, and make sure that…, I know they will come; there would be plenty of eating and enjoying,

And I got my father-in-the-Lord to come and spend a night with me also so that my people can hear the gospel.

Shine forth means what you have got, share it; give it to others.

There are many many members of my family today but the grace of God, are even pastors in the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

There was a member of family who was a babalawo is now an elder in the church, because the light shone.

I pray in the Name that is above every other name not a single member of your family will go to hell.

Why?

Because you will shine forth.

And then, one little point to add, because there had been so many sermons tonight that’s while I want to be as brief as I can be.

We need to take note of something very crucial, one of my children try to say scientifically, but he did not know that many of us did not go to the university.

So, I am going to put it in the language of a market woman.

There can be no light without fire.

Firewood will remain wood until you set it on fire; when you set it on fire then it will give light.

A candle is something anybody can play with; a child can play with a candle until you apply fire.

So, tonight somebody is going to catch fire.

Because in Acts chapter 1 verse 8 says you will receive power after the Holy Ghost has come upon you then you will become witnesses;

When the fire of the Holy Spirit comes upon you all of a sudden, you will set a light, and that light will begin to shine.

That is while…, like I told those of you who came to Holy Communion yesterday, …that is while in Acts chapter 3 verse 1 to 8, when that lame man was expecting money, Peter said I don’t have money but I have something more than money: in the name of Jesus rise up and walk.

And the man got up and walked.

I believed that we have spent enough time been ordinary Christian.

I believe somebody is about to become a mighty vessel unto honour in the hand of the Almighty God.

So, you need fire, the fire of the Holy Spirit.

Because it is written in Matthew chapter 3 verse 11 that Jesus will baptise you with Holy Ghost and with fire - He added ‘with fire’.

It is when you catch fire and you begin to burn for Him that your light begins to shine.

And when your light begins to shine, you will begin to do what ordinary human being cannot do.

Can you imagine how beautiful it will be if every one of us here (and I am saying it with all humility), if everyone of us here has the ability to do what God is doing through Pastor Adeboye, if everyone of you can do the little that God is doing through me, the world will change.

And I have always prayed that prayer, and you know I prayed it and I mean it, that each and everyone of you will be greater than I.

And I believe that first prophesy that came tonight that a new morning is beginning for somebody.

You are going to catch fire tonight; you are going to be baptise in the Holy Spirit and fire tonight.

And when that happens, you and I are going to pray so very dangerous prayers tonight; I will tell when the time come.

But you know there are various ways of catching fire?

It is either the fire comes directly from heaven in the form of lightening, and that could happen here tonight,

Or, you can get the fire from somebody who already got the fire.

You could go and light your own lamb from somebody whose light is already burning.

And before I make the next statement I am about to make; I want you to please pay very close attention to this very serious night indeed.

Something happened during the Convention, on the last day, on the Sunday, as we were distributing prizes to those who won prizes at Sunday School, competitions, singing competition, and so on,

And there was a particular parish but just kept on winning prizes upon prizes upon prizes, so, I said to the Pastor, I said (it was a joke o!) I better visit this parish; and he took me serious.

Days later, I got a letter from him: Daddy, when shall we expect you.

Haa! I was joking!

And then God spoke and said, My son, everything you say from this altar is not a joke; once you say it, I will back it up.

So, I am saying it from this altar now, and this is not a joke: somebody is going to catch fire tonight.

Daddy are you sure I will be included?

God is not respecter of persons, all the requirement is simple according to Acts chapter 2 from verse 38 to 39, He said repent, be baptise every one of you for the remission of your sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

He said because the gift is unto you and to all the people who will ever believe.

Tonight, will only be for Holy Ghost baptism; is going to be for setting people on fire; is going to be the beginning of beginnings,

And so, the only people who may be dealing us now are those who are yet to surrender their lives to Jesus.

If you know you have not given your life to Jesus, if you know you are still living in sin, if you really really mean business and you want to say bye-bye to a life of sin and you want to become a true child of God, I will give you some seconds, some minutes;

I will count from one to ten, and before I say ten, you have to hurry up please because we want to get out of the way so that God will do what He wants to do, so if you want to give your life to Jesus Christ I am counting now

One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight,

I see those of you who are still far far away, I will wait ten seconds more, but you have to hurry up.

Nine,

Okay, thank you very much.

Those of you who are on the way, you can pray as you are coming, and those of you who are already before the altar lift your voice to the Almighty and ask Him to have mercy on you, save your soul, forgive your sins, and become your Lord and Saviour. Promise Him that from now on you will live the rest of your life for Him. Cry unto Him.

And the rest of us let us stretch our hands towards this people and intercede for them, that the One who saved our souls will save their own souls also. Pray for them Brethren. Pray that God will save their souls, give them genuine salvation and wash them clean in His blood.

Let us go ahead and pray for them for about two minutes so that those who are still on the way can come. Hurry up and get here before I finish praying for salvation.

Thank You Lord.

In Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

Saviour, I want to thank You for Your word, I want to bless Your holy name for these people who have decided to respond to the altar call, I am asking Lord God Almighty that you would please receive them, have mercy on them, save their souls today, let Your blood wash away their sins, write their names in the book of life. And please Lord I pray that You receive into Your family today anything they ask from you from this moment answer them by fire. And I pray that they will serve You till the very end.

In Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

Well, let someone shout hallelujah.

I want to rejoice with those of you who have given your life to Jesus, I want to promise that from now on by the grace of God I will be praying for you.

So, please I need your names, I need your address, I need your prayer request.

The Counsellors will attend to you where you are very quickly so that you can get back to your seat because we want to do some serious praying even where you are now.

Quickly fill the card, and if you need assistance let the ushers and the counsellors help you; and as soon as you finished filling your card you can go back to your seat.

We are waiting for those in old auditorium, and the main time, you can write down your prayer point, very few.

Number one: you want to thank God that you are even here today at all. Praise Him.

The second one which I said is a dangerous prayer, you are going to pray that God Himself will send down the fire of Holy Spirit upon you.

You see, when a stove is not burning, anything can crawl – cockroaches, flies – but the moment the fire comes, nobody plays with fire.

So your second prayer will be: God send down fire on me today that everything disturbing my life may be consume by that fire.

If a man is bound with ropes and the ropes come in contact with fire, the ropes will burn. All these little little aches and pains must go tonight when the fire comes down. Every form of yoke from the enemy must go tonight.

So, you are going to cry to God and tell Him: I don’t want to continue with any of this non-sense, I want Your fire to come down upon me, to burn everything that is not of God in my life.

After that is when you are going to pray the third prayer, you are going to say: I want to begin to shine for You from now, and I want to shine forever, not for a day or two.

You pray that prayer first and then we are going to move for something else.

I am going to give you ten minutes to pray the first set of assignment and then we will continue.

So, the altar is open if you want to come you are welcome.

Very short period of time but pray it with all your heart; pray it so that heaven will hear and the fire of God will come.

Thank Him that He made it possible for you to be here tonight; a night when things is going to change radically, every rubbish that followed you in here will be consumed by the fire of God before you go out.

Father, send down the fire of God upon me tonight; burn out anything that is not of God and then let me begin to shine for You on a permanent basis.

Go ahead and cry to Him. This is not a quiet prayer, you pray this prayer with all your heart: send down Your fire on me and let it burn off everything that is not of God in my life, then let me begin to shine for You from now on and forever more.

In Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

I decree from this holy altar of the Almighty God that the fire of God will descend upon you; that every yoke in your life be consumed right now; that every rubbish that the devil as sneaked into your life be consume by fire right now.

I decree from now on you will be burning for God; you will be shining for God; you will become mighty vessel unto honour in the hand of God. So shall it be.
