Jesus is Your name O Lord

Almighty God we want to bless Your holy name; we want to give You all glory and honour for all the blessings we have received from You, particularly since the beginning of the year; we thank You for life, we thank You for preservation; we thank You for support, we thank You for Your protection, Father, please, accept our thanks in Jesus’ name.

My Father and my God, in this special Holy Ghost service, I am committing all Your children born in the month of July into Your hands, Father, let it be well with them. July the seven month of the year, and seven is number for perfection, concerning all these Your children my Father and my God, everything that they want from You give them perfectly; give them a brand new beginning of perfect joy, of perfect peace, of perfect progress, of perfect blessings.

Lord God Almighty, we are crying unto You once again, even before the end of this month, let there be light at the end of the tunnel, and let the whole world begins to say Jesus is Lord again. Thank You my Father and my God.

In Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

Amen.

Let someone shout hallelujah.

We are continuing with our series…

Please be seated

…on let there be light.

This time we are looking at Let There Be Light Part 7, and we will be reading from Acts of the Apostle chapter 9 from verse 1 to 6:

1And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went out the high priest,

2And desired of him letters to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.

3And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:

4And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?

5And he said, who are thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

6And he trembling and astonishes said, Lord, what will thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, it shall be told thee what thou must do.

Father, let there be light.

We have some very serious prayer to pray tonight and by the time we finish this Holy Ghost service, I am sure you will know you will pray like never before that the Almighty God will send light to your life.

This young man called Saul of Tarsus was committed to Jehovah and he thought he was serving God with all his heart and he thought persecuting Christians; these followers of Jesus was doing God service

He was chairman when they stone Stephen to death;

Now, he was on his way to Damascus, going to arrest anyone – male, female, children – who are followers of Jesus Christ so that he can bring them to prison and possibly from prison to death.

On the way, the light shone and several things changed.

Your first prayer tonight is going to be that Lord, if I am going in the wrong direction, let Your light arrest me.

Proverbs chapter 16 verse 25 says there is a way that seems right unto a man, but the end there off are the ways of death.

Many at times we think we are doing the right thing, we think we are going in the right direction, we think we are making the right choices, and we are wrong, sincerely wrong, and unless the Almighty God sends His light we may end up in a pit.

There is a way that seems right unto a man, but the end there off are the ways of death.

When you look at Genesis 13 from verse 13: The Bible tells us that Lot who is went out with Abraham had prospered mightily he also had a lot of plots, and therefore, the land will not contain his plots and that of Abraham;

So, Abraham said, instead of your herdsmen quarreling with my herdsmen, why don’t you choice, the whole land is before you, you chose - If you chose to go right, I will go left; if you chose to go left, I will go out.

Lot should have said to Abraham: you are my uncle, you are the one who brought me along with you; if anyone is going to choose first, it should be you.

But he said no; the Bible said he looked around: he saw the beautiful green lands towards Sodom and Gomorrah and said this is where I choose, whatever is left you can take it.

He thought he was clever; he thought he chose right;

You know the end result in Genesis 19 from verse 12 to 26: everything he took to Sodom and Gomorrah including everything he gained over there, he lost in one day; he even lost his wife in the process.

Oh, there is a way that seems right unto a man, but the end there off are the ways of death.

In 2Kings chapter 5 from 20 to 27, when Gehazi saw everything Naaman brought to Elisha to pay for his healing, and Elisha said no, I got the gift free, I am giving it to you free, you can go with your money and clothes.

Gehazi said, ha, my master as allowed Naaman to go free of charged!

He said I will run after him; I will take something from him.

How I wish the light shone on Gehazi that day; how I wish he realized he was going on the wrong direction.

O yes, he got money;

O yes, he got raiment;

But he also got leprosy.

There is a way that seems right unto a man, but the end there off are the ways of death!

I remember years ago, a young man, friend of mine, says I want to divorce my wife.

I said, you better don’t talk along that line at all, you are a Christian.

He said, why not?

I said, because if you divorce your life, you are playing with hell.

He said, is that all?

He said, where have I been since the day I married.

Before marriage, he thought he had found a beauty queen;

Oh, there is no girl like this girl, she is an angel;

Anyone who advised him at that time to pray again, will be wasting his time.

Any advice that angels don’t eat rice would have falling on deaf hears.

He said don’t worry, I won’t remarry, for the rest of my life I will know peace.

I am praying for all you my children who are yet to marry, you will not make a wrong choice.

There is a way that seems right unto a man, but the end there off might be the ways of death.

And then in 1Samuel chapter 25 from verse 1 to 39 - we found another case entirely different:

There was a man called Nabal, he had plenty of animals, and David and all his men were helping him protecting these animals;

Then, harvest time came and David sent his men to Nabal: will you please give us some food, it is harvest time?

And Nabal said, who is David?

Who is does he think he is that I should give him my food?

And the servant said this man helped us

When David heard, he said, really! That was what he said?

He says fine, I will wipe him out.

But on his way, Abigail, the wife of Nabal, who had heard of what happened, came, met David, fell at his feet and said please don’t do it, don’t avenge yourself;

You are going to be king, don’t let this thing be on your CV; turn round, let God do the fighting for you.

A light shone on the path of David that day, he listened and he turned round.

Some days later, Nabal was dead because God decided to fight for David.

Lord, if I am going in the wrong direction, send Your light and let that light arrest me – that is your prayer number one.

Prayer number two, following from the same story, in verse 4 the Bible said Saul fell down from his horse.

Your prayer number two will be: Lord, send Your light, if I am riding the horse of pride, bring me down.

Proud people don’t often realise that they are proud – that is the biggest problem with pride.

Proud people will tell you I am not proud; I am just self-confident; I am only telling the world who I am; how successful I have been.

When you begin to hear from them the word I, mine, me; forgetting that there is God in heaven who can determine whether you even breath or not;

There is a God in heaven without whom you can do nothing.

When you read Daniel chapter 4 – you can read the whole story from the beginning to the end – the Bible tells us about the story of Nebuchadnezzar:

Oh! He was a very successful man – he was successful - but then pride came in.

And God sent a warning (I am sure, He is sending to someone tonight) humble yourself; whatever you are it is God who is in charge.

He did not listen

And then, he started speaking: is it not Babylon that I have built for my own glory; look at my achievement.

And the Almighty God said alright, We will show you how great you are: for seven years, you will eat grass like an animal; then, after seven years then will talk again.

After seven years, he said, the Most High rules in the affairs of men and He gives it to whoever He pleases; I am even less than a grasshopper

And the Almighty God restored him fully.

Pride is a very deadly sin.

James chapter 4 verse 6 says God resist the proud but He gives grace to the humble.

Psalm 138 verse 6 says God, as high as He is has respect to the lowly.

And the Bible tells us in Philippians 2 from verse 5 to 12, He said, the way down is the way up.

You want to reach the greatest highest, you must first of all go down to the lowest.

He said let this mind be in you that is in Lord Jesus Christ.

You just look at how He who was God equal to God, humbled Himself, became a servant, took the form of man, became obedient, obedient even unto death, the death on the cross,

And then, God as highly exalted Him and give Him a name that is above ever other name that at the name of Jesus every kneel should bow, of things in heaven, of things on earth, of things underneath the earth that everything should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

Study very closely, those of you who have been in the school of disciple, I thought you on this before:

He took seven steps down, and God raised Him seven steps up.

If you want to go high, you must learn to humble yourself.

Consider Elisha for example in 1Kings chapter 19 from verse 15 to 21, he was the son of one of the wealthiest farmers in the land; he humbled himself, he became the servant of an intendant prophet who did not even have a house to call his own

And he humbled himself so much that the Bible said he was pouring water unto the hands of Elijah

But you know how he ended when God picked him up from there and promoted him.

You read 2Kings chapter 4 verse 8 to 17, the Bible made it clear that great people begged him to come and eat in their house – they begged him;

He was controlling kings, controlling the high and the mighty, because he humbled himself.

For the formation of those of you who are yet or have never heard me say so:

I remembered when I turn forty and the Almighty God spoke to me:

 (And I believing He is speaking to all my children so that you will understand that if you want to climb, you must learn to humble yourself.)

On my table then at the Headquarters, was a name plate: Reverend Doctor E.A Adeboye B.Sc, M.Sc, Ph.D

I want everybody to know, yes, I am a Pastor, but listen, I went to the University, I have a chain of degrees.

And then, the Lord spoke to me and showed me a little vision and at the end of the day, He asked me to choose: you want to be a Pastor or you want to be Reverend Doctor?

Thank God I choose right.

And since that day, He has been lifting me up.

I am praying for everyone of you my children today, the light will shine and it will bring you down from your horse of pride.

Your prayer number three - still base on verse 4 - is Lord, send Your light, let me hear Your voice.

For the first of time in the life of Saul he heard God speak.

All the time he was running around, disturbing everybody and persecuting the church, he never heard from God; but he heard that day when the light shone.

You know, Revelation chapter 2 verse 7 says let those who have ears to hear, hear what the Spirit is saying to the church.

Now, it is not everybody who can hear what God is saying, and when God speaks and you can hear, your life will become completely transform.

You see, in John chapter 10 verse 27, Jesus Christ said, My sheep hear My voice.

What does that mean?

You are not even sure you are Christian until you begin to hear from God - My sheep hear My voice.

If you are not hearing His voice, it puts a question mark on your claiming to be one of His sheep.

I praying for every one of you listening to me today, everyone of you who will ever hear this message that God will send His light and you will begin to hear from God

Because hearing from God turns the tide for you.

Exodus chapter 3 from verse 1 to 15, the day Moses heard from God that was when his life change.

1Samuel chapter 3 from verse 1 to 21, the very first day that Samuel heard his name called that was the day that this young fellow began to march forward to become a prophet for a whole nation.

From the day that Samuel heard his name called as a child, the tide turned from that little boy and began his journey to becoming a prophet for a whole nation.

It is a great thing to be able to hear from God

And you know what?

Inability to hear from Him might be dangerous

Because according to Psalm 107 verse 20: the Bible says He sent His word and His word healed them and delivered them from all their destructions.

It means, if you cannot hear His word, you might not be able to get your healing, you might not be able to get your deliverance.

When you read Isaiah chapter 6 from verse 8 to 10, when God was talking to Isaiah, He said let the people be deaf so that they won’t hear, so that they won’t repent, so that I won’t be able to heal them.

It is a dangerous thing not to hear from God.

And according to Romans chapter 10 verse 17, the Bible says faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

I pray that the Almighty God will send His light and every one of you will begin to hear from God from now on.

Number four, your prayer number four will be: God send Your light and change my vision and change my focus.

You see, the Bible says, when the light shone on Saul and he fell from his horse and he heard the voice of God saying: why are you doing what you are doing?

By the time the conversation was over, he could not see.

Suddenly, his vision was taken away so that he can refocus.

In Genesis chapter 3 from verse 1 to 7…

Thank You Father.

The Lord says there is someone listening to me right now and He said the one who said there is no hope for you will come and say I am sorry I was wrong.

In Genesis chapter 3 from verse 1 to 7, the trouble of Eve was what she saw; she saw forbidden fruits

Haa, beautiful!

This is a nice fruit!

I think I better taste it.

Vision!

If you look in the wrong direction, it can destroy you.

The world is yet to recover from what Eve saw.

And when you read Judges 16 from verse 4 to 21 and you may read in addition Judges 14 from verse 1 to 3, you will see that the real destroyer of Samson was his eyes; he just kept on looking at the wrong thing.

He saw a woman among the enemies, told his parent, I have seen a beautiful lady, marry her for me.

His parent said, there are children among your people, there are beautiful women.

No, no, I don’t want to hear.

He got into the serious trouble with that one and then he saw another one, he kept on seeing the wrong thing and that was while when the enemy captured him, the first thing they did was to dig out his eyes.

I am praying for every one of you, every one of you, every bat of the enemy that can attract you to destruction the Almighty God will take your eyes off them.

Colossians 3 verse 1 to 2 says every one of you that have risen with Christ, focus on things above.

Focus on things above!

There are people who have don’t things they would never have done, there were looking at wrong things; looking at wrong things:

Some people become thieves because they have seen somebody who has bought a new car or they saw somebody who had built a new house, and they say hey what am I doing?

Focus on things above.

In 2Kings chapter 2 from verse 9 to 15, Elijah said to Elisha, you have asked me for a double portion of my spirit, no problem; if you can see me.

If you can see the invisible then you will get the impossible.

Like I mentioned earlier on, in the case of a Gehazi, he got into trouble because he saw the wrong thing and be became the chief loser.

He saw the gold of Naaman; he saw the raiment of Naaman, and he could not see the power that could have become available to him as the son of Elisha.

Elisha saw spiritual things and he ended up with a double portion of the spirit of Elijah.

And on the other hand, Gehazi who could have ended up with a double portion of the spirit of Elisha saw gold, saw silver, saw clothes and became a chief loser.

Prayer number five will be: Lord, send Your light and lock me down if You consider it necessary.

Because when you read Acts chapter 9 verse 9, God lock down Saul of Tarsus for three days, for three nights; no food, no water.

If God considers it necessary to lock us down for even longer than had been thus far; if at the end of the day it is going to lead us to a closer walk with Him, to even a more glorious achievement for God, so be it.

I think I have shared with you before in Genesis chapter 40 from verse 1 to the end: it was while Joseph was lockdown in prison that he moved from being dreamer to an interpreter of dream;

He did not get to prison because he sinned, in fact, he got to prison because he ran from sin.

God knew what He was doing, He locked him down there for couple of years.

As for Elijah, he was locked down in the house of a widow for years –

1Kings chapter 17 from verse 8 to 24 - in the meantime, he developed spiritually and became the first prophet to raise the dead.

I am sure many of you will say Lord if you want to lock me down for as long as You want, provided as I come out of this, I will begin to raise the dead, please go ahead.

I have told you, according to what we have in 1Samuel chapter 22 from verse 1 to 2…

Thank You Father.

The Lord wants me to tell someone, I have never been close to you as I AM now; so, if you think I AM far away, forget it. This is the closest I have ever been.

Oh thank You Father.

In 1Samuel chapter 22 from verse 1 to 2, I told you, David was locked down in a cave of Adullam and there were a lot of riff raffs – four hundred of them who gathered themselves to him;

By the time the lock down was over, those riffs raffs have become mighty men – 2Samuel chapter 23 from verse 9 to the end.

2Samuel chapter 23 from verse 9 to the end - there were riff raffs before they got to the lock down, they came out as mighty men.

And when you read Revelations chapter 1 and you can read it from verse 4 to 20 (Revelations chapter 1: 4 to 20), John the beloveth, was locked down in the Island of Patmos, and from there he got a revelation of what is going to happen at the end of the age.

That was a beautiful thing to happen at a lock down.

So, Lord, send Your light and if You deem it necessary to lock me down so that at the end of it I can become far far greater than I am, so be it.

That brings you to your prayer number six.

Your prayer number six is based on Acts chapter 9 from verse 10 to 12: while Saul of Tarsus was locked down, God sent a destiny helper to him.

Your prayer number six will be: Father, at this very moment, send destiny helpers to me.

The Bible said there was a man called Ananias, a great disciple, and God spoke to him: Ananias, he said I am hear Lord;

Well, there is this young man called Saul of Tarsus, My light has shone on him and he has seen a vision;

He has seen a man coming in to lay hands on him so that he can receive the Holy Spirit and you are the one I AM sending.

Hmmm

Ananias said, forgive me Lord, I am sure You know all things, this man is a killer, he is anti-christ, he is an agent of the devil…

God said, thank you very much for informing Me; but you go to him and lay your hands on him and he will receive the Holy Spirit.

I believe very firmly that there is someone among my children that the one who is going to help your destiny is already on the way; I pray that the light of God will shine on him wherever he may be so that God will quicken his step.

1Samuel chapter 16 from verse 1 to 13…

Thank You Father.

The Lord said whoever this fellow his will understand. He asked me to tell the fellow to read the book of Isaiah chapter 6 from verse 1 to 8.

I will tell you the story of Isaiah, he was very very successful prophet but then God showed him a vision, the light of God shone on him, he saw the Almighty God high and lifted up, etcetera etcetera

He cried to God who is me, and God cleansed him up

And then, God finally said, who shall I send and who will go for me?

Before that experience Isaiah has written five books containing some mighty prophecies including one of my favorites Isaiah 3 verse 10: say ye to the righteous, he shall be well with him.

But after that encounter, he wrote all the rest of his books

It was as if everything he had done before was nothing.

The Lord asked me to tell whoever this fellow his, you have done well thus far but I want you to know, I break down in order to build up.

He said the fellow will understand; just about to prepare for greater service: He said I break down in order to build up.

So, where was I?

1Samuel chapter 16, you read from verse 1 to 13 – David was in the bush looking after his father’s sheep; unknown to him Samuel was coming.

Some years ago, I spent several months of the Holy Ghost service to discuss ‘Samuel is coming’.

Maybe when you go the archive you will get it.

The one who is going to turn the destiny of a shepherd boy, turn him to a king, was already on the way but he did not know it – the light has shone from heaven but he didn’t realise it.

In 1Samuel chapter 19 from verse 15 to 21, Elisha was still busy in the farm, not knowing his case has been discuss between God and Elijah;

He was faithfully plowing and yet the destiny changer was already on the way.

Now, when I say God send me a destiny helper in this time of crisis,

Some of us might be expecting somebody will come from America, somebody may come from…;

No, you don’t want somebody to come from China at this moment.

The destiny helper may already be in your house.

Because when you read 2Kings chapter 5 verse 1 to 14, the first destiny helper that Naaman got was a house-help

And when he got to the house of Elisha, Elisha did not appear unto him, he sent Gehazi – that is destiny helper number two.

And when he got angry and he was going away, determined not to obey what the man of God had said, it was his servant, his servant that said to him: Sir, permission to speak (because he was talking to General)

And said yes, what is it?

He said sir, if the man of God had asked you to do some great things, wouldn’t you have done it?

Whereas, all he asked you to do is wash and be clean.

Destiny helpers.

God send a destiny helper to me; if he is already in my home, let Your light shine and prompt that fellow to speak up

Because that girl must have been trembling when she was telling the wife of Naaman: hey, there is a man in my country that can heal Oga.

They could have cut off her head to say who told you to notice that Oga was leprous?

Is it any of your business?

But God prompted her, speak

And she spoke.

The servant who spoke to an angry General could have lost his head but God won’t let him keep quiet.

All my destiny helpers, wherever they may be, at home or abroad, Almighty God don’t let them rest until they contact me.

I have always told you of a great destiny helper who came my way, way back in 1983 on this camp ground.

We just got a small piece of land and we had announced to the whole church, our Convention is going to take place on our own camp ground – at long last, we have a camp.

And we were building those house that people refer to latter on as chicken pens

And then, I had a big problem – water.

Every well we dug here collapse because the ground is clay.

We will dig, there will be water, before the following morning the well had collapsed and it was a week to the Convention and the people were coming;

They were coming because we are going to our new camp

And I was pacing up and down here;

I remember that Sunday morning I could not go to church because I was here supervising the work:

God help me, what do I do; this was total jungle then; total absolute jungle;

The people can manage if there is no food, they cannot manage if there is no water –

They are coming, they are coming with their children; …

What am I going to do?

Suddenly, a man was driving pass; he is not a member of the church; he was driving pass and saw caterpillars working and decided to drive in,

What is happening in this jungle?

And he came and we met.

What are you people doing here?

I said, we want to have a convention here.

O really! That is a very good idea: convention away from the hustle and bustle of the town.

I said yes sir

Is any where I can be of help?

 What is your problem?

Do you have and problem?

I said well, the only problem I know now is water.

How?

 I explained.

He said what you need is a borehole

Haa, you think I don’t know that?

There is no money.

He said I will give you a bore.

Thank you very much sir

But the convention starts next week, next Sunday

He said that is enough time.

On that Sunday, he had sent a team of engineers, with drillers, and everything; and by Friday night they stroke water;

In the meantime, because the drillers were drilling, I did not wait for them to get to water, I got my boys to begin to build a tower where we are going to put container the water will be pumping into;

Overnight, between Saturday night and Sunday morning we lifted up the first water container on this camp ground.

That man may not know it, he helped my destiny.

Because by the time the people arrived water was flowing;

They were all looking at me as if this man knows how to get ready.

Whoever is going to help your destiny, as the light of God shines on you today, whether the fellow is from abroad, whether is at home, whether is in the church, whether is your place of work, that fellow will show up in Jesus’ name.

And then, your prayer number seven, based on Acts chapter 9 from verse 13 to 21:

The Almighty God told Ananias, go to Saul of Tarsus and I will show him what he is going to achieve for Me.

Your prayer number seven will be: God, whatever Your purpose for my life, please fulfil it; please fulfil it.

Because in Galatians chapter 1 verse 15 to 16…

Oh, praise the Lord.

Maybe I should amen to this before I tell.

The Almighty God said there are testimonies and there are testimonies; and He said someone is going to come out of this lockdown with great testimonies.

In Galatians chapter 1 from verse 15 to 16, Paul said, from my mother’s womb, I have been separated unto God, while I was still in my mother’s womb God had a great plan for my life.

And because of what happened in Acts chapter 9 that we read to you; because of this destiny helper that went to him, laid hands on him and he received the baptism of the Holy Spirit

The man who called himself the chief of sinners according to 1Timothy chapter 1 verse 16, ended up becoming the chiefest Apostle according to 2Corinthians chapter 11 verse 5

God has a purpose for every man’s life.

For that purpose to be fulfilled, occasionally, He has to arrest you when you are going in the right direction;

He has to bring you down from your horse of pride; He has to speak to you;

He may need to lock you down and then send a destiny helper so that at the end of the day that purpose might be fulfilled.

I know a young man, way back in 1967, who wanted to join the military – and it was a very glorious thing; becoming military is a noble profession

I love the military

Fortunately for him, (because the military is not for everybody as good as it is) this young man told his mother, I am going to join the Army.

The mother said, well, you are my only son, I cannot stop you from what you want to join, but wait till I die;

You bury me first, then, you can do whatever you like.

All his colleagues who joined the Army the same 1967 not a single of them survived the civil war, not a single one.

Today, that young man is a very successful minister of the gospel.

But first, God had had to stop him when he thought he was going in the right direction;

God had had to stop his pride to get him to surrender to Jesus;

God had had to speak to him, to tell him: no no, I have an assignment for you and it is not the one you think;

And now, God is fulfilling His purpose in his life.

Conclusion

Your last prayer will be: God, give me the grace to pay the price.

Because God said, go and tell Saul, tell him he is going to go before kings and mighty men because of Me but he is going to so far somethings along the way.

Give me the grace to pay the price.

Philippians chapter 3:7 to 15 - Paul said I surrendered all that I might know Him; I keep on pressing forward so that I can have the price of the high calling.

Give me the grace to pay the price

In 1Corinthians 9:4 to 27, he says we all know everybody runs a race, only one win the price; I run, so I may win.

My beloveth children, I hope you are listening to me, and by now you must have discovered this must be a different kind of Holy Ghost night.

I told you that at this special time, sermons have become bible study and this Holy Ghost night is a little digging deep.

There are people who will tell you that because Jesus had finished every work on the cross

And I agreed hundred percent that he had done so;

That there is nothing more for you to do, no price to pay

They might be right.

They might be right because everybody runs a race but only one fellow will win the gold medal, only one.

My coach, in 1963, an America Professor of Physical Education, at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka; said to us, when he was pushing us hard, pushing us hard;

Now, we had to say to him at a certain stage: haha, we are not preparing for the army, all we want to do is play a game, so, what is the problem?

You have to run so many miles – it was miles in those days; you have to lift weight; you have to do so many press ups;

Sir!

He said, one of the things he said then was, they will tell you that all that matters in a game is that you participate not necessarily that you win.

He said have you heard that before?

We said yes, we heard that before.

He said next time you heard that, ask them: why don’t they give medals to failure?

He said to us…, thank God for destiny helpers; …he said it is not enough to be among the best, you must be the best among the best.

He said there are award medals, golds, silver and bronze

He said, do you know the gap between gold and silver?

Do you know the gap between silver and bronze?

He was not a Christian, at least I am not sure he was, but God was speaking through him to me.

When I became a Christian and I saw the preparations of David for the house of God, a hundred thousand talents of gold, a million talents of silver and bronze without measure –

I go the point.

A hundred thousand of gold is superior to a million talents of silver; and as for bronze…

That is while I make up my mind.

Those who said once you are born again you can go on coasting on your way to heaven

No problem.

I don’t just want to be among the best, I want to be the very best – that is what I want to be.

That is what I want my children to be.

That is what you have to be in order to be greater than I.

The Apostles of grace, the Apostle said, I run so that I may win, I keep my body under; I pay the price for it.

They tell me that Jesus has already finished the fasting for us, I agreed; I am not demeaning the finish work of Christ; I thank my Lord and He knows I appreciate Him

It is by grace that we were saved.

But the Apostles of grace said in 2Corinthians chapter 11 verse 27, he said, I fast often; I fast often!

Because in Luke chapter 5 from verse 33 to 35, the Bible said, the Pharisees came to Jesus Christ and said how come Your disciples are not fasting like the disciples of John the Baptist?

The Lord said, the Lord Himself said, they cannot while I AM with them, I AM the Bride Groom!

And said, when I AM taking away from them, hey they will fast in those days.

The Lord said, His disciples will fast until He returns again.

The Apostles of grace, Apostle Paul, my friend, says in 1Thesallonians 5:17, you are to pray without ceasing.

That means you not just going to pray in the afternoon; you are to pray in the night also.

I know it is difficult, I know the flesh loves to relax, loves pleasure, hates self-discipline, hates sacrifices;

But the Bible tells me in Daniel chapter 6 from verse 1 to 3 that Daniel was among the top three in the land of Babylon but the king looked at him and say I think I will make this number one.

I want to be number one, and there is nothing wrong with being number one; there is nothing wrong;

It is not pride wanting to pay the price to be the very best, to be the best among the best;

That is what I want all of you my children to aim at.

So, you are going to cry to Him and say God give me the grace to pay any price so that I can be the best for You that any human being can be.

And so those of you who are yet to surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, you have not even started the journey, until you surrender to Him; and you are hearing from Him today because the light of God is already shinning on you, His opening your hears;

As soon as I started speaking, something told you, hey, pay attention today because this particular programme is for you.

Surrender your life to Him just like Saul of Tarsus surrendered and the purpose of God for your life will be fulfilled.

So, those of you who want to give your life to Jesus, wherever you are please bow your heads now and cry unto Him to save your soul, tell Him you are surrendering all  to Him; that He should please forgive your sins and that you will serve Him for the rest of your life.

And please let the rest of us intercede for this wonderful people. Pray that God will have mercy on them and watch them clean with Him powerful blood.

Thank You my Father.

In Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

Almighty God I want to thank You for Your words, I want to thank You for all those are surrendering their lives to You now; please, wherever they may be save their souls, let Your blood wash away their sins, write their names in the book of life and give them a very brand new beginning so that from now on they will be serving You.

And Father all those of us have already surrendered our lives to You, we are going to be cry to You now, please Lord send Your light; send Your light O Lord and if we are going in the wrong direction, arrest us tonight. If pride is going to stand between us and You, Lord God Almighty, bring us down; let us hear Your voice. Lord God Almighty change our vision, let our focus be on You now. And if you have to lock us down to achieve Your purpose, Father go ahead; just send helpers of destiny to us and fulfil Your purpose in our life.

 And I am praying Lord God Almighty for all Your children today that the grace to pay any price necessary to become the very we can be for You, give us the grace so to do for You in Jesus’ name.

And Lord God Almighty I am committing all Your disciples into Your hands, those who are currently in the school of disciples and those who have passed out, everyone of them, please Lord, remember Your promise that the works that You did they shall do also and that they shall do greater works, please let that fulfillment begin right now. Thank You my Father and my God.

In Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

Amen.

Praise the Lord.
