Ancient of days, the Father of lights, the One who speaks and it is done, glory be to Your holy name. There is no one like You; You are greater than the greatest, You are older than the oldest, You are wiser than the wisest, You are stronger than the strongest, You are richer than the richest, You are the Everlasting Father, glory be to Your holy name, accept our worship in Jesus’ name.

Thank You for that day You started the Holy Ghost service; thank You for the miracles You have run throughout the world as a result, thank You for what You are about to do tonight, please accept our worship in Jesus’ name.

Tonight, more than ever before, visit Your children, let there be light; in all our lives, let there be light; change our evening to morning; change our weeping to laughter; change our sorrow to joy; give us a brand new beginning; at the end of everything tonight let every one of us sing a new song.

And for Your children who are watching us all over the world, whatever blessings You are giving us here tonight, give them their own portion too. Thank You Lord. Please have mercy on Nigeria.

In Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

Let someone shout hallelujah.

Shake hands with one or two people and prophesy to them and say: the light of God will shine on you tonight.

And then you may please be seated.

I want to rejoice with you that you are here tonight and the reason is simple:

In 1986, I was in the United Kingdom to prepare our Sunday School booklet for the year and it was close to my birthday when I heard clearly from God saying: My son, what do you want for your birthday?

I was not sure God will be interested in anything called birthday particularly that of somebody like me.

So, I had to say: Daddy if that is You, would You please repeat the question

And He repeated the question.

And I said, in that case, all I want is that every member of my congregation will receive a miracle.

And He said to me: is that all?

And I said that is all!

He said, when you get home then call them together and whatever they asked for, I will give unto them.

The few of us who are there that time we will remember that it was a week long programme we had and the miracles was so many…,

You know the church in Ebute-Metta was tiny then;

…that for the service that was going to start 7:00 o’clock in the evening, the church was already full by 10:00am because everybody wanted to be near front.

It was after He moved so mightily that I begged Him: can’t we have it every year?

He said why not.

And after sometimes, I said, can’t we have it every month?

And He said why not.

That is while we have been having the Holy Ghost service every month since 1986 and that is while it keeps growing because its foundation is in God.

Today is the anniversary of the first Holy Ghost service

So, I have it on the authority of my Father in heaven, whatever you asked for tonight, you will get.

Secondly, He told me He will be doing some specialised healings tonight that He will begin from the head and begin to go down.

As a matter of facts, He told me in particular that there are one or two young people who think they don’t like the shape of their heads, He asked me to tell whoever you are, before the service is over today, you will have the kind of shape that you want.

So, the Holy Ghost service actually is not supposed to be very long sermon kind of service, it is actually gathering people together to pray.

So, if the sermon tonight is not very long, you will understand.

It is because you are called together to pray

And if I know God is going to answer me then automatically I will want to pray.

Our text is taken from Judges chapter 15 I will be reading from verse 9 to 16 (Judges 15 verse 9 to 16):

9 Then the Philistines went up, and pitched in Judah, and spread themselves in Lehi.

Thank You Lord

The healing had already started. And like He said the healing is starting with head. So, if there is something wrong in your head – that includes the brain, your ears, your eyes, you nose, your mouth – the work is going on right now in the head.

10 And the men of Judah said, Why are ye come up against us? And they answered, To bind Samson are we come up, to do to him as he hath done to us.

11 Then three thousand men of Judah went to the top of the rock Etam, and said to Samson, Knowest thou not that the Philistines are rulers over us? what is this that thou hast done unto us? And he said unto them, As they did unto me, so have I done unto them.

12 And they said unto him, We are come down to bind thee, that we may deliver thee into the hand of the Philistines. And Samson said unto them, Swear unto me, that ye will not fall upon me yourselves.

13 And they spake unto him, saying, No; but we will bind thee fast, and deliver thee into their hand: but surely we will not kill thee. And they bound him with two new cords, and brought him up from the rock.

14 And when he came unto Lehi, the Philistines shouted against him: and the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him, and the cords that were upon his arms became as flax that was burnt with fire, and his bands loosed from off his hands.

15 And he found a new jawbone of an ass, and put forth his hand, and took it, and slew a thousand men therewith.

16 And Samson said, With the jawbone of an ass, heaps upon heaps, with the jaw of an ass have I slain a thousand men.

Somebody will sing a new song tonight.

God is light - 1John chapter 1 verse 5

And He is not just Light, He is Father of lights - James chapter 1 verse 17

And according to Malachi chapter 4 verse 2, the Bible says unto thee that fear My name shall the sun of righteousness arise with healing in His wings.

God is light and He rises from the east just like the sun.

So, when you say let there be light, you are actually saying let God arise;

That is what formed the special song that we sang for this program.

When you say let there be light, you say let God arise

And not just that He will arise but then He will focus on you that the light will be directed towards you.

So, when God arises and He focuses on you, certain things are bound to happen immediately.

I am going to quickly run through these things to enable you to pray successfully tonight - that is while I chose the story of Samson.

His relatives, they bound him and handed him over to external enemies.

Relatives - enemies within, bound him, handed him over to enemies without;

They laid him down helplessly, bound very tight but all of a sudden God arose…

And God is about to arise for someone here tonight;

…and the first thing that happen was that the ropes that bound him were burnt off as if by fire.

When God arises for you, the first thing that will happen is that the yokes in your life will be destroy.

According to Isaiah chapter 10 verse 27, He says the anointing will destroy yokes.

When God arises for you, the yokes of the enemies, the yokes of death, will be destroy instantly.

In Daniel chapter 3 from verse 14 to 27…

Thank You Daddy

The healing virtue is already descending to the neck area.

I am sure some of us already got some healing in the area of the head and that healing oil has descended now to the neck area.

In Daniel chapter 3 from 14 to 27, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego was bound also and they were thrown into the fiery furnace and God arose for them and the yokes binding them were destroyed

And the expectations of the enemies were completely put to nothing.

In Acts chapter 3 from verse 1 to 8, there was that lame man who was on one stop since the day he was born;

The day God rose for him, the yoke of stagnation was destroyed; he ended up walking, leaping and praising God.

In Mark chapter 5 from verse 25 to 34, the woman with issue of blood had been diminishing on a daily basis because the life blood in her was draining

But the day God arose for her that yoke was destroyed.

So, tonight, if there is a yoke of death in you, is going to be destroy.

If there is a yoke of stagnation in you is going to be destroyed.

Instead of increasing and you have been decreasing that yoke is going to be destroyed tonight.

But, of all yokes, the worst yoke is that unseen one.

We see Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego bound

We see the lame man; we know he had a yoke because he could not get up

The woman with issue of blood we understand she had a yoke

But in Mark chapter 1 verse 23 to 27, the Bible tells us that Jesus entered into synagogue and there was man there, well dressed like every other fellow, but inside of him was a demon

Everything looks fine from the outside but inside was problem.

And there are many people like that; when you look at them you won’t know anything is wrong but they themselves know they have a problem that they have a yoke within.

In the Name of the One who called me, all those unseen yokes that have been disturbing your life they will end tonight.

I am sure those of you who are old, you probably heard the testimony of one brother, a very wealthy man but he had a problem:

He will finish eating;

He is the one who paid for the food, the wife prepares the food;

He had enough money to feed a city

But after everybody had eaten and they pour the excess food into the dustbin

He will look right, look left and go to the dustbin and begin to eat from it.

He had no satisfaction until he ate from the dustbin.

Then, one day, in one of the Holy Ghost services in those early days, God spoke to us that there was someone in the crowd who is constantly eating from the dustbin and the Lord said I AM taking care of the problem.

If I don’t know His voice that is difficult to announce but I announced it.

And later on, we heard the testimony.

In that Name that is above every other name, that secret yoke, that secret yoke that is reducing you to the level of dogs will be destroy today.

The second thing that happens when there is light and God arises for you is that we will see in the story of Samson:

After the yokes have been destroyed, all he could find was jawbone of an ass

But as soon as he touched it, the jawbone of an ass became of a weapon of mass destruction.

In other words, when the light of God shines on you, whatever you touch will begin to prosper.

For example, in Exodus chapter 4 from verse 1 to 20, the day the light shown for Moses, the rod of Moses became a rod of God.

The rod of a shepherd became a rod that was going to open the red sea;

His hand, because the light shown for him became a hand that whenever he touches anything, whatever he touch will become a miracle

For example, in Exodus 15 from verse 22 to 25, he touched a tree and the branch of that tree began to turn bitter water to sweet.

In 2Kings chapter 4 from verse 13 to 41, there was poison inside a pot but the light had shown for Elisha and he took ordinary flour and pour it into to pot and because the flour touched his hand, it neutralised poison.

In 2Kings chapter 6 from verse 1 to 7, an axe head fell into a river;

Elisha touched a piece of wood and threw it into the river;

That wood carried power from his hand, sank in to the river, located the axe head, transfer power to the axe head and the axe head jumped up and began to swim.

I have good news for someone here today; because the light of God is going to shine on you, from now on anything you touch will begin to prosper.

I can tell you stories on that but I want to rush because of time.

Number three that happen when the light shines on you is as it happened to Samson - within seconds all the external enemies were vanquished – he killed a thousand of them and I am sure the rest fled.

When the light of God shines for you, when God arises for you, it does not matter the nature of the external enemies, they will be destroyed.

In 1Samuel chapter 17 from verse 34 to 51, David said, a lion came, I pouched him and killed him;

A bear came, I pouched him and killed him;

Even Goliath came, and with just an ordinary stone I cut his head off.

In Numbers chapter 15 from verse 1 to 34, some people ganged up against Moses but what they did not know is that light has been risen for Moses;

At the end of story, Moses remain standing and all his enemies were buried.

It is written in Isaiah 54 verse 15, the Almighty God said, they can gather together against you, He said they that ganged up against you shall fall for your sake.

Do you have some people plotting your destruction, I have good news for you, long after they are forgotten, you will still be riding high.

I am sure you will remember the testimony of one of our brothers:

In his place of work, his superior wants to engage in some activity that a Christian cannot be involved in and he refused to corporate.

So, they decided that no problem, we will eliminate you.

And he came; he came to one of the Holy Ghost services when we are still in the old auditorium;

On his way somebody phoned him, you are already dismissed, when you come on Monday just come to collect your letter of dismissal – that was on Friday.

And then the word of God came: there is someone here, the enemies thought they have concluded your destruction; long after they have gone, you will still be riding on.

He knew the message was for him.

To cut the long story short, Saturday stroke Sunday there was coup in Nigeria and a new government came and all his boss, all those who planned against him were removed before Monday

And because he is the next in line to them, he was promoted to take over from them.

May I announced to somebody that before Monday all those who have been planning to destroy you, they shall be no more.

I am not cursing anybody; I am just announcing what is going to happen.

Every one against your progress they will receive a visit from God this weekend.

Number four:

Thank You Father.

Daddy wants me to tell you a story before telling you prophesy that will follow.

I think it was 1983, the late Alake of Egba land was celebrating his birthday and he invited me to come and preach

So, I went.

When I got to the Cathedral they took me to the vestry and I was wearing my normal suit and the Bishop saw me and said, who are you Sir?

I said I am Pastor Adeboye.

Yes

What are you doing here?

I said, my name is on the programme sir, I am the one who will be preaching today.

He said, you!

I said yes sir.

He said which church is yours?

I said the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

He Redeemed Christian what?

I repeated the name.

He said where is your Headquarters.

 I said Ebute-metta.

He said, ebute-metta!

The Lord wants me to tell somebody here today, very soon when you introduce yourself people will stand at attention.

Thank You

The healing power is working on the chest area now - He is dealing with lungs, the hearts, everything in the cheat area.

The forth things that happen when God arises, when the sun of God shines on you is that the internal enemies will be humiliated.

You see, the relatives of Samson, is own very very relatives, are the people who bind him and handed him over to the enemies.

They were thinking now we get rid of this boy anyway but as they watched, they saw the external vanquished and they Samson was unhurt - they were humiliated

In Genesis chapter 50 from verse 15 to 18, the brothers of Joseph, those who sold him to slavery, those who thought that this boy we will see how his dream will be fulfilled,

The Bible said they came and fell down before him.

Any internal enemy that you may have, whether from your father side, from your mother side, in your place of work, even in the church, they will come and bow down before you.

I can give you other Bible passages: just one will do

1Samuel chapter 22 from verse 1 to 2, the Bible tells us that when David went to the cave of Abdullam, all his household, all his brother, all of the people of his father’s house;

those of them who were there when they are trying to appoint a king and they said don’t bother about the one in the bush; including the one who was rebuking him when he was about to kill Goliath;

they came and he was captain over them.

I will just give you one touching example so that when it is time to pray because you know the internal enemies is far far more dangerous than the external

As the elders will say if the death within does not kill you, the death without cannot kill you.

A man came here years ago…,

Those of you who have gone through school of disciple under me, you have heard the story;

…came with his wife and he said Daddy, my wife is the one disturbing me and I have seen it clearly – she is the witch, there is a serpent in her that I have seen clearly.

I asked the sister: is it true?

She sister said, don’t mind him, it is his mother who is a witch and not me.

I said, okay.

Sister, I can help o if you will confess; I can drive out the serpent.

She said don’t mind that stupid man.

I said okay.

Now, is it okay if I pray like this: that if this man is lying against you, from now on everything you do will succeed;

But if not, I will bind that snake that he says it is in you.

She said pray.

Okay

If I pray the snake wouldn’t be able to go out again;

He will be staying put in you – feeding on you, excreting in you

She said pray.

So, I prayed.

When the husband brought here back three months later, she was three times are normal size and at that time, she was ready for deliverance.

If there is a relative, someone very close to you, who is the agent of the devil, working against your destiny, whatever evil force they are using, under the anointing of the Holy Spirit, I bind it right now.

Every evil force being used by any relatives, any evil force being used by wolves who appear like ordinary sheep in your home, I bind it right now in Jesus’ name.

The fifth thing

 I am rushing so that you could have time to pray.

Thank You Father.

Well, Daddy wants me to tell you another story; you have heard it before, at least some of you and there is a prophesy coming after that.

I have told you the story when I became General Overseer, 1981

When I was travelling visiting our little churches scattered over Nigeria.

I got to Elesha and I would normal spend a week when I go to some area;

In the morning, people who needed prayers will come but the services will be in the evening.

This woman came with a child; the child will probably be maybe around ten years old then;

This my daughter has never spoken a word – she was born dumb; never spoken a word.

Please pray

And I was going to pray like Pastor do – we pray and say go, believe God

That was what I was going to do

But as I said in the name of Jesus

The girl said amen

The mother began to roll on the ground

I was so frightened that I nearly jumped out of the window because I was not expecting a miracle.

I have told you the story because Daddy asked me to tell you because He says there is someone here tonight, He say mark my word, very soon I will give a miracle that will frighten you.

The fifth thing that happen was that one moment Samson was on the floor, the next moment he was standing upright;

The journey from the floor to the top was very very rapid

When God arises for you, when His light shines on you, your rising becomes very rapid.

In Genesis 41 from verse 1 to 44, one moment Joseph was a prisoner, in the next moment he was the Prime Minister of Egypt;

In less than 24 hours, the one who was thrown into jail by Potiphar and his wife became somebody that when he is passing by, Potiphar must bow, his wife must bow – and the promotion took place in less than twenty-four hours.

May I decree to somebody here tonight that by the time we have another special Holy Ghost service you will testify.

Don’t let me tell you stories of that; we will just go on.

The sixth things that happen which is really amazing is that they saw Samson getting up and they could not stop him

When God arises for you nobody can stop your rising.

Psalm 23 verse 5…

Thank You Father.

This is Holy Ghost night; we just have to do it the way God say we should do it.

He asked me to tell you another story – another story that some of you know because there is a major prophesy that is coming after that.

I went to a University to preach and it rained during the period when we were ministering

And funny enough all the students who were there they stayed with me in the rain

I did not know they had a plan

As soon as we finished the service and I left, they took the chair I sat and cut it into pieces and each one took one each little little bit

And one of them took his own little bit, took it home to his sister who had been mad for more than sixteen years and touch her with that piece

And immediately he did, the woman became completely normal and she said I had a long bad dream.

Nobody told her yes, it has been a bad dream for more than sixteen years.

The Lord asked me to tell somebody here tonight, your destiny that has been held on hold, shall be fully restored tonight.

They could not move to stop him because the Bible says thou prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.

They saw him rising but they could not stop him

Because God said in Isaiah 43 verse 13…

This is for me but I will tell you all the same

The Lord say there is someone here tonight, He said very soon your little will become big and your big will become enormous.

With this one, after this one if we go home it will be okay.

Because the Lord said to me, son, seventy-eight is a combination of two figures – seven and eight

Seven for perfection

Eight for a new beginning

And He says you are free to take the two; He says I will perfect your past and give you a brand new beginning.

Oh Lord, thank You Father.

You know what that means?

Physically, He will perfect your healing and give you a new beginning of health.

Materially, it means He will help you clear your debt and give you a new beginning of prosperity

And if you are single, that means He will give you an appropriate partner and your year of fruitfulness will begin.

Thank You Daddy.

I receive that Daddy.

Let somebody help me shout a really big hallelujah.

Let me mention one more thing and then we will go and pray.

After Samson dismissed the external enemies, humiliated the internal ones, rose rapidly in the presence of his enemies, he sang a new song.

When God arises for you, because as you see in the beginning it was the philistines who are shouting: haa, Samson is finished; our enemy is handed over to us

Then God arose and now it is Samson singing: heaps upon heaps

When God arises for you, you will laugh last.

And there is a saying that he who laugh last, laugh best.

The Bible is full of examples:

In 1Samuel chapter 1 from verse 1 to 8, the adversary of Hannah was hammering on her.

By the time we got to first chapter 2 if you read it from, you can read it from beginning to the end -

It was Hannah now who was speaking, the enemies had been silenced.

In Daniel chapter 6 from verse 1 to 28, when threw Daniel into the den of lions and put the lid upon the hole, his enemies went home to rejoice:

Haha, what is wrong with him; he came here as a slave and before you know it he became one of the top three and now they are planning to make him number one; let him come and be number one in the belly of lion

But by the end of the day of the following day, it was the same enemies the lions fed on

And the promotion of Daniel was without opposition.

Psalm 40 from verse 1 to 3 - when I find myself in trouble and cry unto the Lord and he heard my voice, He brought me out of the miry clay and put my feet on the rock to stay and then He put a new song in my mouth.

Somebody will sing a new song today.

Let me close by tell you another story that I am sure you know very well.

I told you the story of a lady - the day my wife and I were doing our registry wedding – in the town of Oshogbo.

We got to the magistrate and then we saw a lady before us – well dressed, ready to marry; but the bridegroom did not show up

They waited and waited the boy did not come;

The shame and the agony nearly turned the head of the young girl but after sometime she decided to move on and them find a soldier boy and married him.

In the meantime, the boy who jilted her, maybe escaped from town, joined the army

And then there was military coup and the boy who married the girl became a military governor and the boy who jilted her was appointed the ad camp for the governor.

So, whenever sister wants to go to the market, the former ex-boyfriend is the one who will open the door.

In the Name that is above every other name, you will laugh last.

Now, before we pray; because when we say let there be light which means let God arise;

He will arise;

But when God arises, His enemies will be scattered.

I know there had been altar call made earlier but I know some of you came in later.

So, if you were not here when they are making the altar call and now you have just heard what I have said

That if God arises His enemies will be scattered and if you don’t belong to Him, you are against Him.

But you want to cross over to His side, you want to surrender your life to Jesus.

There might be just a few of you, I don’t want to take chances, I will count from one to ten.

If there is anyone at all who has not surrender his or her life to Jesus and you want to do so, before I count ten please run forward quickly and come and give your life to Jesus Christ.

I am counting now

One,

O thank You Lord

Two,

God is a very good friend; He is a very dangerous enemy; so, if you have not surrender your life to Him, come and do so now.

Three,

Those of you who are clapping thank you, keep clapping; your hands will never be empty

Four, five, six, seven, eight, nine

Once you are on the way keep coming and make sure you get here before we finish praying.

Now, those of you who are already in front cry to the Almighty God: have mercy on me, save my soul, I want to be on Your side, I don’t want to be against You; forgive all my sins and from now on I will serve you. Please call on Him, He will save your soul.

And the rest of us let us stretch our hands towards this people and intercede for them that the One who saved our souls will save their own souls also. Let us pray for them.

Those of you still on the way pray as you come that God will save your soul and have mercy on you and receive you into the family of God.

Talk to Him for another one minute.

Anyone who still on the way just make sure you get here before I finish praying because I am about to pray now.

O thank You Jesus.

In Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

Saviour we want to thank You. Thank You for Your word, thank You for this people who have come forward to surrender to You, please receive them, save their souls, let Your blood wash away their sins, please write their names in the book of life, receive them into the family of God; and from now on, anytime they call on You, please answer them by fire. Thank You my Father.

In Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

Amen.

Now I rejoice with those of you who have come forward; I want to promise, from now on by the grace of God I will be praying for you

So, I am going to need your names, your address and your prayer request.

The counsellors will give you a card which I want you to fill very quickly and return it to them.

We will wait for you till you finish before we go on with the programme.

Quickly, you want to write down your prayer point:

Prayer point number one: You just want to thank the Almighty God that you are around at this time; that you are here on this occasion when the Almighty God is going to answer prayers. You just thank Him

Then number two: You will say, Father, let Your light shine on me today and destroy all the yokes in my life; yokes of sickness, yokes of poverty, yokes of failure, yokes of fruitless efforts – destroy all the yokes in my life.

Then number three: You will say Father, let Your light shine on me today and from now on everything I touch let it prosper. From now on, everything I touch let it begin to prosper.

Number four: Father, let Your light shine on me today and take care of all my external enemies just take care of them in Your own way.

Then number five: Father, let Your light shine on me today and very soon let all my internal enemies come and bow down.

Number six: Father, let Your light shine on me today and let my promotion be rapid.

Number seven: Father, let Your light shine on me today and any attempt to stop my rising, stop it.

Then number eight: Father, let Your light shine on me today and let me laugh last.

The altar is open.

You are going to pray for just twenty minutes.

Cry to the Almighty God with all your heart, it is very very special day, a day when He has promised to answer prayers. Cry unto Him He will answer you, you will testify. Go ahead talk to the Almighty God.

Thank You Father.

In Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

Every yoke in your life are destroyed tonight and you will never see them again. From now on whatever you touch will prosper; in business you will prosper; in marriage you will prosper; in your career you will prosper. All your external enemies, from now on you will never see them again; they will all relocate. Every internal enemies will come and bow to you. Your rising will be rapid; nobody will be able to stop. And in the Name that is above every other name, you will laugh last. It shall be well with you.

In Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

Amen.
